  1. No, I am not telling you anything actually. So yes I thought it was slower than Taris.
  2. Well I did settle on the "Difficult" Setting, barely been scratched thus far so that'll do me. Thanks for the advice though guys.
  3. It was the 10th for this Aussie, I got it yesterday :P:P
  4. Definetly Taris, Peragus felt much more like a really long tutorial. I just solved the puzzles gradually and couldn't wait to get out of there. Taris, with it's 2 cantina's and so many more people to talk to and get involved with was much more playable. While thematically Peragus was very nice, it was a little poorly executed and lets face it pretty slow at times.
  5. Got it, arrived today tis in my hot little hands. Thats not bad I ordered it online it seems like I got it before most of you other Austrlians.
  6. Yes, yes I am, I am a horrible insecure geek that needs PRAISE for his mad Knights of the Old Republic skillllllz. PRAISE ME!!! Well not really, it was just pretty damn easy, not that I loved it any less there is a certian amount of charm in being ridicolously strong. Anyway man thanks for the response, keeping it all in mind.
  7. There there kid, tommorrow, just go to bed really early so tommorrow you will be super charged for playing and be able to stare at the screen for untold hours. *lends support to other pining Aussie fans*
  8. That is completely ****ed up. While I am glad to get my hands on the game soon, this is not the kind of thing that should be a "Known Issue", if they knew about it not really doing there job releasing while it's still there.
  9. Well, here is the dilemma I have. I know the game is going to be pretty easy, it's likely easier than the original and there will be little to no learning curve because playing the first has given me a more than sound understanding of the combat mechanics and such and such. I spent most of my last few games of KOTOR 1 playing on the hardest difficulty leaving my party behind on the ship. Just to keep the challenge as much as I could, and initially I planned to simply start this game on the hardest difficulty also. Then I thought "What am I going to do to make the game more challenging then?" well not much I figure. So accepting at least the first few times the new story and situation will be enough to drive me along the game without being overly worried that I am sleepily making mince meat of untold amounts of hapless enemies, then later I can squeeze a little more playability out of it by bumping the difficulty. So my question is this, What did those of you that have already spent some amount of time and indeed completed the game play your first or first few games on? Did you start on the normal difficulty and then bump it up, or just go straight for the best available challenge the first time? I want to squeeze as many games of this out as I can is that difficulty bump really going to make any noticeable difference? (I know it's still going to be easy)
  10. my local EB says tomorrow the 11th <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That really is quite bad, the online guys I use are usually pretty damn slow, so mine shipping yesterday afternoon I really thought it would be on EB's shelves today. Okay then scrap the going to buy it plan....looks like it's tommorrow for all.
  11. I heard that they're not going to release the game there until you take back Colin Farrell, theres no room for him since we already have Ben *Actlack* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We can't take him back, cause yeah as said...Irish. We can take Heath Ledger back or something. But anyway kids and kittens it looks like it's out in Aus, so if you are here reading this and waiting for the game in Australia close you computer and go to EB and buy the sucker.....and if it's not there come back and complain call me a liar curse my name and make a cute little voodoo doll of me so you can mess my hair up from anywhere in the country.
  12. What I find even more amusing is Gamespot's "guide" recycles virtually all the old observations from KOTOR in regards to stats, character creation and such and makes almost no changes to the wording whatsoever even though in many cases things have been slightly changed. Now that's lazy.
  13. I am in Australia, my X-box copy shipped yesterday I will have it by tommorrow morning. Leads me to think if you went to look in stores it should be on shelf today. Full time work doesn't permit me to you know.....just walk off and buy a video game in the middle of the day (Nazi bastards!) but I would think anyone in Aus should be able to go pick it up by now. *bottles excitement*
  14. If you created the thread in the bottom left of it you should have a drop down box with the option to delete the thread.
  15. I'd like to know why we still seem to get angry about the multiple topic issue? we know it's an SQL error that seems to cause some posters to accidentally post multiple threads, we know he is not intentionally spamming us.... Anyhoo No idea about the Armour's but I too would be disappointed should it be absent.
  16. I try to pretend nothing happened after the first silicon knights classic anyway. It's pretty clear the writers really had no, and still have no idea where the hell they were trying to go in the subsequent instalments. Alas Kain has a cool voice. Nonetheless it's a fine example of the no "to be continued theory"
  17. Mwahahahaha, thats awesome. Of course, there probably wouldn't be many of us left if you had said weapon. In short, though Plano the idea .....well it sucks. It's an over simplified near impossible concept, but don't feel bad dude, I like this thread a lot more than another "Who is the greatest Sith Lord of doom with the doomiest powers of destruction?" poll.
  18. I for one thought the Baldur's Gate was a pretty over-rated piece anyway. I mean it was excellent, but this "be all and end all" opinion of it doesn't sit right. I enjoyed KOTOR a lot more, and I am by no means a "casual gamer", and ultimately didn't have a problem with being a near god like force in the galaxy by the end game (excepting that it made the whole the too easy to complete), We still as players need to be paced through our RPG's, Baldur's Gate did it in a more clever fashion then KOTOR's just offering as a bunch load of levels, but something has to drive us through play, and frankly if you are going to cut the level progression substantially, then a significant amount if re-working the design of the game is going to be needed.
  19. Conrad's Heart of Darkness, my good man. I know you all know that Apocalypse Now was based on that book, right? Read it...it's so much better. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I knew it was based on that story, though it's set in the American civil war or something isn't it? I tend not too read, unless I need to sometihng to do while I am lying in the sun
  20. I having not played yet can't be sure, but I approve of any Apocalypse Now references nonetheless.
  21. "To be continued.." have no place in video games. The first time I saw it in Soul Reaver - I was furious, I remembering reading a review of that game and it being said it was like buying a novel and having the last 100 pages blank. Even if a sequel is planned there should still be some kind of closure to the story.
  22. Well it's obvious that no one is going to get to 50, without exploiting the game, but yeah level 50 is beyond ridiculous in any sense of it. It sounds like they really should have stuck things to the flat 20.
  23. See that there Ussen, thats how it *should* look, I mean for craps sake I am in the general discussion here I so did not expect to see that. I would like to add most people here have been brilliant about not posting spoilers, but can someone change that freaking post?
  24. Wouldn't happen to know what Jedi Class the respective characters take on per chance?
  25. It was common practice on KOTOR tosandbag the PC to get the max benefits of your cross class character. Given the increased level cap, is there any point anymore? Does the Prestige class levels have a greater value if we restrain some of our non prestige Jedi levels? Or what about the characters that become during the game? Is it still a useful factor to maybe stop levelling some NPCs until they reach a point where they can become a jedi?
