  1. There hasn't been a good TW game since the original Medieval. After that it was all arcady BS.
  2. Just figured out in Syberia 3 sometimes you have to have your inventory open for the necessary hot spot to show up, sometimes not, very confusing.
  3. From the annals of American badassery, home owner captures two desperate murderers: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/06/16/hero-homeowner-holds-escaped-georgia-inmates-at-gunpoint-until-arrests.html
  4. Jeff Vogel writes about Pillars of Eternity, and makes a lot of good points: http://jeff-vogel.blogspot.com/2017/06/games-have-too-many-words-case-study.html (through Gamebanshee).
  5. He was the chief writer on the first Mass Effect, and for a while after, but at some point he left Bioware. I guess they rehired him.
  6. So we know AC won't run at true 4K on XOX, but uses something called "checkerboarding" which I gather is different from just upscaling. http://www.vg247.com/2017/06/14/assassins-creed-origins-wont-run-at-native-4k-on-xbox-one-x-after-all-but-it-still-looks-fantastic/ A lot of the so-called 4K games will use that or "dynamic resolution": http://www.vg247.com/2017/06/14/when-you-see-the-4k-ultra-hd-logo-on-the-box-of-an-xbox-one-game-it-may-not-mean-its-a-native-4k-title/ I thought they said Forza 7 though is true 4K 60 fps, but I could be wrong.
  7. 220K criminal aliens in Texas prisons over the last 6 years! http://www.breitbart.com/texas/2017/06/14/220k-criminal-aliens-incarcerated-texas-6-years-says-dps/ And that's just Texas. These are criminals who wouldn't be here at all if the government did its job. Edit: Comey reportedly confronted Lynch about interference in Clinton investigation: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/06/14/comey-reportedly-confronted-lynch-over-clinton-email-probe-involvement.html Yet he didn't see fit to leak it to get a special council appointed. Not that that would've worked, as the Obama administration was completely shameless.
  8. So does Sanders believe in the Revolution or not?
  9. But again it's not a new console. It's just a premium version of an existing console. PS3 was a crummy architecture compared to the 360 and the cost difference was for the blu-ray, which most gamers weren't willing to pay at that time.
  10. A xXx 1070 GT xXx costs about the same as an Xbox One X. Not saying that they are the same but if people are willing to spend 470 bucks ona GPU + Extras then why wouldn't they spend 500 bucks on a console that can play games, ultra hd movies and such right out of the box?! Exactly, XOX is a dedicated gaming PC for a lot less. The $500 price point right now is aimed at the enthusiasts, it will sell out initially so why would MS charge less? It's not a brand new console, there's already a low cost version with XOS, which will probably hit $200 soon. Eventually XOX price will come down as market demands, and it will mostly replace XOS. Apparently MS strategy now is not to come out with new consoles, but simply keep upgrading the existing one, like PC, which I always thought should've been done with the original XBOX. MS also has the big advantage over Sony of 4K dvd support. There's another interesting wrinkle, play anywhere. Right now there aren't many games, but if that really gets going, you could buy a game from Windows store (assuming they match/have sales like Steam) and play on both PC and Xbox. I'd like to play on my new TV, but mostly it still makes more sense to use the PC, so if the new Metro game gets play anywhere support, I'll have to seriously consider my options.
  11. Probably the civilian version of M4 carbine, i.e. semi-auto. There'd probably be a lot more casualties with the military version. Also, Fake News Central? Not both sides, >95% on one side.
  12. Quantum secured direct communications: https://phys.org/news/2017-06-physicists-quantum-memory.html This entanglement stuff is so freaking amazing, I'm still not sure I completely believe it.
  13. Can't believe what they did to BG&E. Ubisoft is pure evil.
  14. Wake me up when the Supreme Court affirms the 9th circus decision.
  15. Finally finished Styx: Shards of Darkness. Also seems like they cut some stuff at the end, or may be the completion percentage doesn't mean what I thought it meant, felt kind of abrupt regardless.
  16. Sessions didn't lie, those were official contacts which didn't need to be reported.
  17. Funny, McCain's incoherence made me think of you. True fact.
  18. Keep in mind that the problems with the original ME were blamed on the Unreal Engine.
  19. More on Comey: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/jun/8/james-comey-had-a-tough-day-on-capitol-hill/ And on May: https://order-order.com/2016/07/02/read-full-article-pulled-telegraph-pressure-may-campaign/ Bonus Cersei reference. I guess the British press is even more of a joke than ours is. Edit: My favorite liberal, Jonathan Turley, says Comey broke FBI rules, may be the law: http://www.breitbart.com/video/2017/06/08/turley-james-comey-damaged-goods-leaks-matter/ So Mister Phony Integrity knew the Obama DOJ Hillary investigation wasn't impartial, yet he never insisted that an independent counsel be appointed, or a Grand Jury empaneled, or else threaten to resign. Yet he was more than happy to leak to get an independent counsel appointed to investigate Trump, even though there were no criminal allegations against him. And also more than happy to act as a dupe to Obama/Lynch to exonerate Hillary, even though she clearly broke the law according to his own words.
  20. Trump Derangement Syndrome. Right now it looks like Labor will form a coalition with the SNP and Corbyn will be PM. At the very least Labor picked up more seats than they had previously, and this is with the media ****ting on Corbyn for the past two years and his own party stabbing him in the back. Tories truly dun goofed. I don't know if it means anything, but the Sky News news anchors seem to think the Conservatives making a coalition is more likely (although everyone seems to think Theresa May will resign regardless...which will mean an unelected PM, unless another election is immediately called for?), but you know, I don't know much about UK politics or if they're right. PM has to be a member of parliament, so always elected. The voters don't vote for the PM, they vote for MP's who then elect the PM.
  21. If it wasn't for the double standard, the media wouldn't have any standards at all: http://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2017/06/08/nets-ignore-oversight-report-showing-holder-impeded-fast-and Edit: How moronic is our society, that girls now have to compete against boys in athletics? http://www.theblaze.com/news/2017/06/06/transgender-freshman-sprinter-born-a-male-wins-two-girls-state-championships/?utm_content=buffer0d16d&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer
  22. It's the Russians: http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/06/politics/russian-hackers-planted-fake-news-qatar-crisis/index.html
  23. Aren't most charities pretty much about getting to spend tax free money? Most hospitals are non-profit, so charities, but they're all about enriching their employees, especially the higher-ups.
