Just beat 'Control'. All-in-all, a solid title, but like other games in the modern era, they manage to push physics and hardware limitations but don't really raise the gameplay bar in any significant way, they just find ways to push more gimmicks. I found the plot to good but nothing spectacular, as focusing on nuance was never really my strong suit. Worth the purchase, but if you have a backlog of titles you need to get through, not worth bumping them aside for it.

Well my job is now down for at least another month. But it could very well be longer than that depending on the situation. I'm getting paid by the company for these last two weeks off, and shall receive unemployment benefits after that, up to a year. A significant sum, enough to live off, but significantly less than what I was making. Also everyone is getting a decent check from the government within three weeks or so. I hope less wealthy countries are able to cover themselves at least enough to get by, because we're getting a pretty good setup here, provided the economy doesn't collapse in the process.

I think I played Nier: Automata for like a couple of hours before I threw in the towel. It was pretty fun but couldn't quite grasp why people were raving about it, just sorta struck me as just another weeaboo action rpg type thing that are a dime a dozen. Never played the others.

Predator Hunting Grounds weekend trial. It's pretty good actually, it does the movie near 100% justice with its themes. It doesn't raise any bars gameplay wise but who needs that when sometimes "Get to the choppa" is sufficient. So yeah, if you loved the movie and want a perfect blend cognitive mix it in a game, throw some cash on it. It's really fun stalking people as the Predator, hopping through high tree branches and using IR vision and cloak to zap your prey.

I'm getting a really nasty smell of fascism and sino-phobia in this thread, which is totally not cool. Reminds me of the Hitler sympathizers in the 1930's and we all know what happened to them.

TBH we should all put aside our differences and embrace Lauperism.

It's not about "combating" it's about streamlining and overriding the cognitive and tedious impulse to do so with better mechanics.
