  1. Huh? But isn't that the vast majority of Bethesda's fanbase? Besides, mummy and daddy can always get it for the kids instead. i think thats why there are no decent AO games at all Mummy and Daddy could still get a AO game, though. Problem's just if Mummy and Daddy have tastes of a kid, nobody should wonder there're no decent games available.
  2. Too fast, too colorful, too brutish. Wouldn't it be laughable if EA, who allegedly are developing System Shock 3, could pull off a more cerebral gameplay? I'll still get it though, and while it prolly won't be the hoped spirtual sussessor to Shock2 anymore, it still might be a cool FPS.
  3. What if Dawn would enter some ominous space-cloud? Wouldn't that brake the acceleration a bit and postpone the mission for 100 years?
  4. No thanks. WW-2 RTS games bore me. Commandos series was cool, but we won't see that anymore. Wasn't there once a RTS released, from a Hungarian dev too I think, where Pigs would mercilessly fight Rabbits? SWINE I think was the name. I'd actually be interested in seeing a sequel to that.

  6. please enjoy Wasn't there once a game released where WW1 was still going on in 1960? Anyway, I'm sure I've seen other scenarios mixed with WW-II too, they just haven't tried out Medieval/WW-II yet. At any rate, I'm not so much into RTS anymore....and even less WW-II. "Good-vs-Evil", "Hollywood screenwriter". Uh oh. Not again. Next.
  7. Wannabe director or not, he doesn't flow with the waves, he has it's own idea where "interactive entertainment" (note he doesn't like to use the term "games") should go. At least we won't get another shallow "oh I've seen that 1000times before" game from him. The industry needs more brave men like him, and less necrophiliacs like Llyranor! Yes.
  8. All those heaty debates about what makes Fallout "true" or not are so overrated. It's just a franchise like any other. First person? Fine, as long as they make it right.
  9. This makes me want to own a PS3. Click
  10. I thought the Riddick game was rather boring.... Anyway, Tron 2.0 was a pretty cool. Loved the game, hated the movie.
  11. Cri(y)sis 9/11.... how convienient.
  12. Right now I'm playing Sam & Max (currently in Episode 2). This game is totally hilarious! Are the Bone games any good, too?
  13. German dubbing for movies is mostly better than the Original. But that's more for Hollywood productions where I don't care for the language finesse anyway. Smaller movies however are better in Original. Like some French Comedy or some trashy Japanese Samurai Fiction, which is meant to watch in it's original language to get the subtle humour. Games otoh are almost always better in Original (English), or in case of Gothic, in German. Luckily enough, for the most part I've the option.
  14. That has probably more to do that the Scandinavian market isn't important enough to dub them into...let's say, Finnish. And it doesn't matter whether you watch TV in English or your own native language, TEE VEE is always bad for you!
  15. Most difficult? Ever tried to learn Russian or Hungarian? English is a global language and also pretty forgivable.
  16. The Doctors always seem to learn the interviews by memorization. That's why they're so boring and worthless. "We like that platform, and we were always great fans of Sonic, and Sega is a great publisher to work with, and we want to deliver the best story driven game ever on the DS, and blabla". O RLY? Next.
  17. If it wouldn't be for the strenuously and illogical puzzles, I'd have played through Grim a long time ago. At any rate, I got through Psychonauts, and I can't wait for the next Double Fine game. Tim Schafer is clearly a genius!
  18. Which contains many retrothemes as well as being a spiritual successor to a game released in the mid 90s. So by Morgoth's criteria, Bioshock should not be creative either. Nonsense. A game that is set in the past or uses a retrotheme based setting makes it by no means backwards. In fact, Bioshock deals with rather contemporary and interesting subjects, like the fragile human mind or gene manipulation. Mass Effect otoh deals with Turians and Taleians and Potatoians and other goofy stuff. Bioware clearly wants to defeat the master of Sci-Fi storytelling, George Lucas himself! All they need to do is to put Deekin in and you will know they'll have an exclusive Hollywood deal signed for the next 5 ME movies.
  19. It's good to know Piranha is now exclusively working full steam ahead on their new project, a new IP. They always let here and there some tidbits go in the www.worldofpiranha.de forums. Allegedly, they're about to release first infos in a month or later.
  20. OpenGL has it's place in development tools, like the API of a 3d animation package. I doubt anyone (except id Software) is still using OpenGL for games today.
  21. Regardless of it's many faults, Bioware is currently working on two new IPs. That doesn't seem particularly backwards. Mass Effect is backwards. They try to create the mood and excitement of the old 70s, 80s Sci-Fi movies a'la Star Wars or Alien. That's what they after for, and that's what they've said. Not a very progressive view in my book. But hey! Why creating something new when you can revive the old crap all the time? This is a strong evidence for lack of vital creativity. But that doesn't just affect Bioware, it seems the whole industry has gone tired. What was the other IP? That Baldurs Gate clone? Isn't that vaporware?
  22. Sonic RPG. Why not a Sims RPG, or a Barbie RPG? Bioware looks too much backwards, all that revival of the old "classics" sucks. But then again, I'm not interested in some monkeyfest for the NDS anyway. The kids will have fun, though, that I'm sure. They have created an own team for that. I guess it will cost Bioware 3-4 years to make it with a ~120 man team.
  23. That Photoshop plugin sucks, I wouldn't want to work with that half-assed thingy. ZBrush is the only way for good looking and functioning Normal Maps. And it rocks for Color Map creation, too.
