  1. Too much to list. But Eric Brosius stuff and the Deus Ex soundtrack never gets old.
  2. Space monkeys, Jorian! Your map lacks of Space monkeys. Put them in, and it will be perfect!
  3. So, it was a fattened house-piggy then? I thought about that, because wildlife boars don't grow that huge. Besides, wildlife boars are fast and agressive and would have attacked the boy on sight. Outcome undecided, of course.
  4. Thanks to these huge incomings, we only have (had) to wait ~10 years for Starcraft 2. I love you Blizzard!
  5. I don't even think it has balls.
  6. This looks like you took a photo from the Milky Way and overlayed it with a concrete texture. Truly artful...
  7. But if it's on the video it must be true!
  8. I'll only believe in the existence of Nessie if you provide me a link.
  9. Of course he is, haven't you read the above quotes? Bioshock has to sell. Marketing is one thing, what the game at it's core is about is another thing.
  10. Yes, but at the same time, Sheppard can also be a very charming ladies' man.
  11. Indeed. He has balls and vision, that's why I have so much faith in him.
  12. They have? Bioware, I mean. Yes, their design is a lot more sophisticated now. For example, you can grab collars, point a gun at foreheads, or ask suspiciously where the machines are coming from, and all that without reading. I mean, WOW!
  13. Like I'd care for free community content. Lame lamer MMOs. But yes, it's teh future.
  14. Just piping up to say I agree with the above. Mostly, I don't like the overuse of pastels or neon-bright colors, and I feel like I see far too much of it in games these days. Kind of ... renaissance or Picasso painting palette oriented, perhaps. Which is fine in some cases, but it's an overall trend I haven't particularly liked. Exactly. I usually like the use of the complementary concept (i.e. Cyan-Orange) or overuse of atmospherics in paintings and concept arts, but it barely works in-game. Colors don't convey an interesting message if they're overused (call me old-fashined, but I still like to watch B/W classics). I always thought Leon Boyarsky (Art Director on Fallout, Vampire:Bloodlines) got it right. Like the room of Voermann and Jeannette, the furniture and tapestry already said much about the person, or the overall moistly, decaying look of the streets. Everything looked very natural while remaining expressive in a non-forced way. Bioshock looks too much of a circus place. But maybe it's also part of the X360, I heard MS enforces developers to increase the saturation so that people can say "Ohhhh and Ahhhh!!!!". That's what Ken Levine had to say in the TTLG forums to those who seemed to be worried about the quality and the somewhat questionable marketing push.
  15. My only two MMO experiences were DAoC and WoW, both very shortly. When I entered DAoC, people stood around and chatted the whole day --> How exciting. I quit after 2 minutes. When I installed the WoW trial, I sorta was attracted to the quirky funny rabbits and graphics first, so I gave it a go. But after ~5 min, when I figured out all game mechanics, I questioned myself "There certainly must be more". When people started jumping at me and silly messages popped up everywhere, I got annoyed and quit. Bottom line: I leave that stuff to the school kids who have time for that nonsense. Unless some developer won't fundamentally change this genre, I won't get into it. Bring on some fine Singleplayer RPGs. Fergie, I'm looking at you!
  16. Now that's something entirely different, then.
  17. But that's the same goal in CRPGs too, but with the difference that I can avoid some bad guys in Stalker or Shock2 if I want.
  18. Ultima is painfully outdated. It's all about Evil vs. Good lameness. Man, even Bioware has now gone past that.
  19. "XBOX 360 Shooter"? ...suddenly distant nightmares from Deus Ex: IW comes to mind... The times of 64MB limits are over. Besides, an entire team is committed solely for the PC changes (i.e. UI)
  20. Shooting flying pigs and cracking misogynistic jokes never gets old, baby. I'd like to know what the ESRB and Hillary Clinton, not to mention Jack Thompson would think about that....this is as serious as Serious Sam, seriously.
  21. Jesus Christ.... wouldn't want to know what that thing would do to a human head. Still, I could imagine the hog has gone wild and tried to attack the fat boy, so he just freaked out and started shooting at him. With that amazing recoil, I'm not suprised he hit the pig randomly. But then again, who hunts with a gun anyway? That what you have rifles for.
  22. I wish they'd have finished the 2001 version and released it before Far Cry, H2 etc. Now it won't be that easy anymore to impress people with FPS goodness.
  23. Now that would be a Weihnachtsbaum. While a Weihnachtsbaum is often made from a Tannenbaum, it doesn't always mean every Tannenbaum is a Weihnachtsbaum....you see? Do yourself a favor.... I liked how the girl pushed him "Kill him, kill him, KILL HIM!", while the fat boy always missed the player.... poor thing. Anyway, combat looks fun and intense, but I'm more inclined of the eerie and calm gameplay from Shock2. If Bioshock won't offer that, it won't become a classic in my book. Pictures from July issue of EGM One problem I have with Bioshock, or generally with almost every game today is the overuse of quirky colors. I rather liked the homogenous color palette of System Shock2, or the nicely gloomy Thief. Please please dear Obsidian devs don't let that happen to your Alien game.
  24. "Collaboration". I figure they'd co-develop it with Woo's company, Tiger Hills. Warren also said he's working on some fantasy game...probably that's the one mnetioned above. And then he also said he's recently re-acquired the rights of a Comic style game from Majesco..... hmmm hmm hmmm. E3 will hopefully unveil the MYSTARY!
