If you could make any game, what would it be like?
No limits huh? I'd call it "Eternity". Special feature: It would never get released.

Constructive criticism is a good thing and keeps conversations interesting and civilized. Some "steam" can be good too, as long as it isn't based on silly bias and rumors. I for one don't define originality solely on the setting. Alien certainly isn't a new franchise, but it's the first time we get a full fleshed RPG made of it. Now if that isn't a reason to be excited, what then? Dragon Age? Whole new world. What are people whining about? Want another lame DnD game instead?

Ok thanks, I'll look later into this. I owe you a bottle Vodka!

Please don't tell me it's in that planthouse where I've to watch out for a porthole while dying from radiation?

Follow the marker on the PDA, but remember to look both high and low. get it? haha you will. Make sure you check the area around the "family rifle" carefully as well. Yeah, I once derived a little too far and was suddendly dragged into a conflict with some Ruskie authorities. And I just wanted that stupid rifle. But I guess a sniper's place would be somewhere on the roofs, so maybe I should start looking there.

No matter what Bio creates, people will always whine about stupid little things. Says how spoiled people became these days.

Now that I eventually got into the bar and finally aquired a decent suit and an assult rifle with Scope, fighting actually now makes fun. I'm now near the quest where I've to get that "family rifle" (not that I've the intention to give it back to that drunkard), but everywhere people are shooting at me and I wonder where that damn thing is. Any Stalker comrade here to give me a small hint?

Games you are looking forward to
Yeah, that's derived from Slavic myths. Not that I know anything about it. More importantly about the Wii is the fact that it doesn't try to compete with AAA graphics race, thus also allows smaller teams (therefor often more creative) get games released. Edit: Hell, everywhere I scroll through the threads, I get to see that disturbing and outrageous sig from Omolette. Help Help!

Great news from Feargus
Done here, done there. And totally lame.

What's up with that Tiberium? It's growing everywhere. Help Help! The preview itself however doesn't have any new content, unfortunately. I guess after ME gets released and E3 approaches, Bio will agressively start to churn out real DA infos.

It has Werewolves. How could it possibly fail?

The premise sounds cool. 19th century eastern Europe, werewolves, slitting throats via the Wii remote and dealing with any sort of psychological diseases sounds refreshingly interesting. Now I only need to get a Wii. Damn.

Ever heard of the Wii-exclusive Sadness?

Great news from Feargus
Yeah but that's exactly what makes a PA setting so interesting. Because the Fallout games weren't about some stupid Orc-Elves war were you can put in every nonsense, but adressed subjects like humanity, despair, power, humor etc. Something people grew up with in their region/city and therefor have their own stories and views of events, as well as have to struggle with the originated social structures, economical circumstances and what not.

Beyond the Red Line
Freespace 2 was the best Space-Shooter I've played since Freelancer... and that comes from a guy that isn't usually into that genre. Too bad for Volition they scrapped every plan for a sequel, or a new Summoner for teh PC. Now they just make mediocre games (which prolly sell tons better anyway...so there you go).

No, No and No.

Great news from Feargus
They'd be dumb not doing otherwise (I mean not the "Oblivion with gunz", but Fallout: Subtitle). After all, they have to introduce the Fallout setting to the console crowd as well, so a number just wouldn't fit there. But yeah, I hope Ferg bugs them about a Van Buren style game. It's indeed a possibility.

So, is anyone going to get C&C3
I borrowed a copy from a buddy... It's interesting that there aren't any new ideas in the new CnC, all progress only relies on production values. And still people buy it like hot cakes. Well.... at least the cutscenes are marvelously corny again.

Great news from Feargus
From an American developer? HELL NOOO! Besides, I'm currently playing STALKER, that's the closest you can get. But I think a real Fallout sequel might be done. Ferg just has to ask the Bethesda people nicely. I mean they're all geeks, so it might turn out pretty well. Besides, allegedly Bethesda don't have the intention to name their Fallout "Fallout 3", but "Fallout: Oblivion with guns" or something like that....

FEAR != Doom. Doom was a dumb and superficial experience, FEAR at least had intense combat and slow pace "crawl through the corridors" gameplay. I thought the atmosphere was cool anyway. As for Stalker. I played about a few hours and so far it's really fantastic. Met my first invisible Mutant down in the basement.... Nice. And as opposed to Gothic 3, the A-Life stuff actually works (mostly). I just wish I'd get better armour, those Army dudes really kick my arse very quickly.

Great news from Feargus
Oh and I hope they drop that lame idea with Kotor3 or a W40k RPG. I'd rather see some more original IP's... That Postapocalyptic Fantasy game is a cool start I think. SCiFi would be cool too, but no cheesy Space opera and silly Clown-Aliens a'la Mass Effect please. How about SciFi that takes place on earth...heck, with real people for a change?
-
Great news from Feargus
Well there's always the chance Obsidian could work on a Fallout game for Bethesda. Bethesda is a co-publisher, after all. While Bethesda makes F3,4,5 etc, Obsidian still could do a Fallout: An Isometric Hardcore-RPG or something like that....

There's not enough buzz about it yet. If the popularity doesn't increase, it won't be a viable option to UnrealTech.

New Game From Blizzard!!!!
How lame. They should have announced Starcraft 2 in all seriousness! Now that would have teached the fanboys something! And lots of stupid faces, too!

This late Summer/Fall will be murderous. I wonder why always all must-have games must be released in such a close time frame....
