No One Lives Forever
Ah yes... NOLF2. Still one of my top favorite FPS. I still hope Monolith is going to make a sequel some day.

The Decline and Fall of Europe
Europe is a great place...as long as you don't live in Central- or Eastern Europe.

Mysteries of Westgate
I'm somewhat curious about this MoW mod, even though I always connect big city modules with clunky framerates and camera issues.

The second Neverwinter Nights 2 expansion pack coming?
Oh that's too sad indeed. I lost all of a sudden my interest on a possible NWX2...

Bioshock 2 concept art revealed
Click From the concept art, it rather looks like it will be a prequel, perhaps during the construction of Rapture on the surface? Anyways, looks sweet and tyte.

What are you playing now?
Currently I've nothing on my gaming roaster, although I think of getting Stronghold 2. I had fond memories of the demo, but couldn't run it decently on my old hardware back then.

wine discussion
French, Austrian and Italian wine ftw! I once tried Greek, South-African and Spanish wines too, but wasn't very fond of these.

Titan Quest producer rants on PC market.
90% in Eurotasia? I blame the Russkies! But I wonder if Steamworks, which is for free, could change that. After all, every customer has to create an account that is then connected to Steam, thus Piracy should be an....impossibility? Every retail PC games should use it these days.

Did Obsidian make any sort of appearance in GDC?
I think it's about time to announce one of the SEGA projects, anyway. There's too much of this unsettling silence around Obsidian lately. I thought it's a 120+ staff company already, they gotta start talking a bit more about games and stuff.

What are you playing now?
Interesting, I think I should check it out. The Gamespot review I thought was rather convincing, and I have nothing decent to play until Mass Effect, so... I just have to know how well the German translation was done. Is the disk multilingual? Edit: LOL I just found it on Steam, for a fair 20 bucks (14 Euro?). I think I'm willing to fork out that money....right now!

Resistance: Fall of Man 2
W-hat are you saying?

Resistance: Fall of Man 2
*looks at screenshots* I see angry faces in heavy gears, I see big guns, big war machines.... so I see nothing new, actually. Thanks for nothing again, move along.

The Decline and Fall of Europe
Europe has constantly changed, and spiritual and cultural regions were always more important in reality, as opposed to national borders, or bloodlines. I don't get how diversity could make Europe weak - it's the unity within the diversion that makes it strong. However, diversity != cultural assimilation. Nobody's gonna force me to live after i.e. Chinese customs and relinquish my own just because people think that brings folks closer. No.

The world's 193rd country just emerged
Well good luck for your future, Kosovans. Although the majority who wants to move on with life will emigrate anyway out of the Balkan.

Gearbox' Aliens: Colonial Marines
So it's going to be another hold-my-hand FPS where I always have to give orders to my Marines where they walk, and when they step on Alien mash, they're gonna cry like babies "Oh Gawwwd Sir HELPP WAHHHHH SHOOT SHOOT WHAHHH WHAHHH". Great.

BREAKING NEWS: NEW SONIC DARK BROTHERHOOD PREVIEW
30 people for a DS game? I have seen teams half that big making full blown PC games....but hey.

Gearbox' Aliens: Colonial Marines
After playing NOLF2 I would have believed you. But the latest Monolith game I played was called FEAR.. Now that's the exact opposite of diversity. GREY GREY GREY!! Well, I think diversity can mean many things. For me, it's certainly not jumping from a desert into a jungle into an office building into an underground parking area. And the colors in FEAR were properly. No crappy bright and colorful nonsense there, only beautiful Art direction, wherever I looked at (and yes, I actually did like the blocky structures too.... made the enemies look more like they stood out of the background). Though the coolest thing was the smart combat AI, the sound design, the fun combat, the slowly evolving plot, the nice audio logs. All these things that kept me enjoyed and concentrated until the last level. Something that so many other FPS creators (id, Epic, Gearbox) just don't get right. They can have better graphics and more level design diversity and more enemy diversity...it doesn't matter to me, these games still bore the crap out of me. Funny though that nobody ever complained about Thief's "diversity"...

Gearbox' Aliens: Colonial Marines
I'm myself somewhat disappointed that Gearbox got the job. OpFor was certainly excellent, but all their other games were just "solid". Monolith on the other hand are masters in creating suspense, mood and diversity within the FPS context.

Sins of a Solar Empire
Demo first. My demands for RTS games have become higher these days. Building stuff and destroying stuff is not enough for me anymore, I also want talking heads and space princesses now.

KOTOR 3 All but confirmed in EA forecasts
Pandemic working (worked) on some LOTR game? Huh?

Mass Effect is coming to PC
I think if you can run Gears of War and UT3 properly, you shouldn't have any problems with ME either.
