  1. Well, then let's say I accept it and like it? Happy now?
  2. The official website is up! http://projectorigin.warnerbros.com/ Looks sweet and tyte. Also check out the new trailer.
  3. To be honest, I don't really know, and I haven't dig too much into this "pay for play" subscription model. I just played the Beta back in the days and really enjoyed it, even though it had it's problems. So last week I saw it for 25
  4. Explain "nerfed". Each patch release incorporates balancing fixes, new features (like in-game mail system, emoticons etc. in 1.2), new items etc. Major patches (Patch 2 to be next) incorporate whole new areas, quests, monsters etc. So I guess the support is pretty good, even for non-subscribers. Most technical bugs (mostly Vista related) have been squashed out already. I myself did a lot Diablo2 Coop back in the days with my buddies, but currently I'm playing a solo MP game. Too many N00bs around.
  5. That's fine Nick, didn't want to make you angry. Me stills runs a 5 years old P4 3Ghz HT, X1950 Pro and 2 Gig RAM, and I even played Gears of War with all details fine with that. I never found a pressing reason to upgrade, although I will this July (Core 2 Quad, 4 Gig RAM, GF 9600GT) just to be prepared for Dragon Age, Project Origin and Alpha Protocol. Neither did I find a pressing reason to get a X360, since most games there don't interest me, or get released for PC anyway. There are some fine games, like Heavy Rain, that are PS3 exclusive though...well.
  6. No, I play without any subscription.
  7. First, it's "dual", not duel core. Second, I'm not aware of 4Ghz models. You mean a Core 2 Duo @2Ghz maybe, or some Xeon model? Besides, if you do serious 3D work, you'd use something better than a 256MB GFX card.
  8. A lot of my friends say it isn't too good and isn't too much like diablo at all. To me, it certainly doesn't look like Diablo at all. Maybe it doesn't look like Diablo, but the gameplay is exactly the same, plus you have a Z-Axis now. You got hubs, quest givers, teleporters, tons of l00t and items for upgrading... it really is exactly structured like Diablo. Even the areas are (sometimes) randomly generated, and I must say, the graphics are gorgeous (from an aesthetic point of view). It also plays quick, and has the "Just one quest before I quit" stance to it. To me, it is simply the best thing since Diablo 2. All these other clones (Titan Quest, Harbinger, Restricted Area, Legend etc.) are all crap. Go for Hellgate if you're a Diablo fan! Although I must admit the slow start and "meh" at the beginning may give people a bad first impression. I believe the initial storm of bad press that Hellgate recieved was more because of major bugs. Has that been patched up well enough? I started playing with 1.1b, and I haven't encountered any bugs. 1.2 is to be released for tomorrow, and Flagship continues to add items, monsters, features and areas with each new patch. The servers are also very fast, no lag for me either.
  9. You're just angry because you can't afford a real PC, you snob. Nice try though you freaking hippy, get a job.
  10. I wonder how these romances turn out. Obligatory James Bond toy with nice b00bs, or intelligent and wicked super-woman (with nice b00bs)?
  11. Mirror's Edge looks really cool, even though it seems to be a Totems ripoff. I'm more worried what else I can do in that game, except jumping around and kicking people into the face. I hope it has something like a... story?
  12. In fact, they're one of the better ones out there. Still, they gotta do something about their horrible marketing.
  13. Hi, I like video games. You too?
  14. And I hope he still is! So, development started in March 06, and it will be released roughly 3 years later. That's quite some time, considering they already use a middle ware technology. But then again, art assets and experimentation in design always takes a lot time. I'm glad Obsidian found a publisher willing to support a new IP that just needs a fair budget and time.
  15. I always thought only Texan cowboys who want to blow football big holes into someone carry Desert Eagles.... but a CIA operative should carry either a Walter P99, or better a Glock! Glock FTW!
  16. Lol. Keep them coming! I wonder why nobody put Sawyer's head onto the cover yet? I mean he has short hairs too....
  17. People say this kind of thing a lot. I'll never understand it. It's one thing to accept what something is, but to find it fun? What if they simply don't like Diablo? If "they" don't like Diablo, they most prolly won't like Hellgate either. Duh.

  19. First, you should open the Properties Window for your Tablet. There you should be able to add the NWN2Toolset.exe to your drivers in order to adjust pressure sensitivity, tilt, key mappings etc. Just experiment a bit in the toolset with the properties, like by creating terrain. I personally only use a Tablet with Painter and ZBrush... but for Terrain creation in the NWN2 Toolset it could be also very handy, I guess.
  20. I'm playing Hellgate London. It's a fun game if you accept it as what it is: A successful Diablo clone.
  21. Austria could be a better place if we'd get rid of this unbearable and faceless Republic... and best bring the Monarchy back, like half of Europe consists of. It would be a good start to get rid of these tiresome party fights and show more political ambitions and progression!
  22. Should I laugh?
  23. Well, I never really cared much for a character creation process. Character progression through gameplay is what Obsidian should opt for.
  24. Thoughtfully crafted levels are always better than generated, large and meaningless spaces.
