Congratulations, BruceVC, that's the first time you've made me physically cringe. Upping the ante, as always.

I think they're meant for the kinda player who liked doing speed runs in old school platformers.. All about overcoming the challenge through concentration and repitition. I found Dark Souls pretty darn easy after a certain point (and that was my first Souls game). But after beating the game once, I did send my character straight to NG7 via some memory editing with Cheat Engine, where that certainly applies. Dark Souls 2 was torturous and repetitive (and awful) from start to finish, though. Never got used to or liked the control changes, never got used to or liked the much slower-paced combat. Why you would slow down the second game compared to the first, I don't know...seems like the opposite would be the more logical choice (...or just keeping it the same)...but then again, I'm not a brilliant game designer.

Sounds like an understanding impairment, not a hearing. Brain randomly isn't able to decipher sounds as well as it should: same problem I sometimes have. I also have pretty good hearing.

That was a pretty miserable game.

Honestly, I feel like the first Souls game you play is the best. I played Dark Souls 1 and thought it was quite good: I beat it on NG7 at level 99, beat it at soul level 1 on NG1, and nearly beat it at soul level 1 on NG7 ([MINOR SPOILERS, I say the name of a boss] I can beat every boss besides the Four Kings...the Four Kings are just too hard to fight 4 at a time at level 1 [/END MINOR SPOILERS]), so I must've liked it, right? Tried playing Dark Souls 2, and I pretty much instantly hated it. Played through the entire game, and it makes me never want to play another Souls game ever again I hated it so much. I know others who have had similar feelings...though I know others that played Dark Souls 1 and then thought Dark Souls 2 was O.K., too.

That's a shame. It was a decent show. I just hated the format of filling up what felt like somewhere between 25-33% of each show with them repeating themselves, reexplaining what's going on, or just filling it up with pure filler. A shame.

Uh, not true at all, actually. There's no sales tax for online retailers that don't have a physical presence in your state...nowadays, that's most major retailers, so you'll likely get charged sales tax. Newegg doesn't have sales tax in my state, though, and combine that with it generally having the best prices across the board, and that's where I usually shop for PC stuff.

Forgive me...but while I don't know for sure about Torchlight (not having ever played it), enemies never scaled with you in Diablo (1 or 2), nor Titan Quest. In fact, if they did, it would screw up the entire drop system in Diablo 2, where the alvl (area level) determines the mlvl (monster level) of the monsters in the given area, which, while players are killing said monsters, compares itself to the qlvl (quality level - also known as ilvl for item level) as the game tries to drop items off the killed monsters, which then checks to make sure everything's in order for that specific item type with that specific quality type (non-magic, magic or rare prefixes and suffixes, set pieces, uniques), and if everything is, it then drops the item...and if it isn't, it either rewrites the item into a different quality type (the unique to rare and set piece to magic transformations being the two that I know of), or erases it as if it had never existed entirely. If areas/monsters scaled with you (and they don't...not even to the slightest degree), it would completely screw up this formula. There are three different difficulty settings for a reason. I would also disagree with you in regards to character building: you could easily screw up your character to be nigh-unusable if you didn't know what you were doing (...and if you were playing before the respecialization patch came out): character building and progression was VERY important in Diablo 2. So was equipment, yes...but character building was one of Diablo 2's greatest strength (contrast it with Diablo 3, which is much, much more limited, and consequently much, much less interesting in this area). This just in: I know way too much about Diablo.

There were seven no-hitters this season. Seven baseball games where a team literally went the entire game without hitting the ball even once. Football seems terrible when the teams stall over and over and can't get first downs...imagine a game where a team goes literally the entire game without one, or without a reception or meaningful rush...

It's so much easier in BBCode Mode. But as always, for SOME INEXPLICABLE and LIKELY BONEHEADED REASON, all of the other buttons get disabled when you are. No other forum I've ever been on has ever done that, so I don't know why these do, but it is supremely annoying and infuriating and I wish it would be fixed. (edit): In fact, why in the world is the default non-BBCode Mode a thing to begin with at all? We have the post preview button for a reason... Ack, everything about it drives me insane.

That is correct. Or rather, I can eat pizza and spaghetti...but it has to be sans any kind of sauce with anything even vaguely tomato-ey in it. Personally, I like pizza without any sort of sauce, while I'm perfectly amicable to spaghetti cooked in other sorts of sauces, such as garlic and olive oil and other things.

I was actually recently told I barely even count as being human for not liking any sort of "normal" condiment on anything. Not ketchup, mustard, barbeque sauce, sriracha, any sort of "hot sauce", horse radish, soy sauce, tartar sauce, relish...nothing. You could cook soy sauce into something and I might like it, but nothing else out of those.

It's just a supermarket fruit and/or vegetable juice (depending on what kind you get). Pedestrian, really, and nothing more to it. (edit): There appear to be at least two kinds, though...Fusion, where it's actually made with 100% juice (so it says, anyways), and Splash, which tastes like pure sugar, this-doesn't-even-taste-like-the-flavor-on-the-label garbage and is only made with 5% *shrug*

Well, I despise tomatoes, and would never drink or eat anything tomato-flavored or anything with tomatoes* in it, so I can't really comment. I like it, too, but I mean, c'mon, it's a supermarket fruit juice...you get what you pay for. *Except salsa where it is not the primary ingredient - unlike most supermarket "salsas" - and only specific, weaker-flavored (IMO) tomatoes: too strong or too much of tomatoes and you ruin the salsa for me.

If plants want to be people, you should respect their lifestyle choices! (I don't think I've ever seen anybody use this icon before, but it's dancing like the banana, and seems appropriate enough.)

Hey, I think V8 Fusion tastes O.K...way, way too much sugar, but that's what you get for crappy juice that you can get at a supermarket that people actually buy enough that it stays in stock (...and that, for some reason, nonetheless advertises itself as being "healthy" for some goshforsaken reason). V8 Splash is virtually inedible, though. Eugh.

I always hate it when I feel like posting something in a topic, but the latest post is about something actually kinda important/worthwhile, and my post is pretty much just useless garbage. With that in mind, I got a V8 strawberry banana drink today for the first time in forever, and failed to notice that I was getting a V8 "Splash" instead of a V8 "Fusion". I did notice that it did look a bit different than the last time I had one, but I just figured...the last time I had one was ages ago, I'm probably misremembering, and/or they changed the design up (...along with the actual color of the juice, too? ...). There was a great mixture of surprise, shock, and disgust when I actually tried to drink it. Never again, V8. What absolutely wretched stuff. Yeah, finding what you want to do/can do for a living can be tough. Hope you find a path that suits you, TrueNeutral.

I honestly wish they had *another* day where they aired another game or two...like Wednesday. On the other hand, I also wish no team ever had to play on Thursday after having played on Monday...seriously, it's such baloney that that ever happens, much less happens often enough that it's clear the schedulers just don't care. Only way you could do a Wednesday game without running into that problem is by having the team who played last week's Thursday play the next week's Wednesday...but that doesn't matter, since that likely won't happen anyway. There's no way Ravens should've won that game. They had so, so many chances to get ahead, but failed every time. Steelers' missed two field goals that should've made it impossible for the Ravens to come back, and then refused to even give the guy another chance in overtime *twice* when it would've instantly ended the game...and instead struck out twice on 4th and 1s...I could not believe that the Ravens won. Yeah, Philip Rivers has had a terrible offensive line...mainly because at least week, literally his entire offensive line was injured. I think in weeks previous, some were injured, but literally all were last week.
