What You Did Today Thread
I have a friend who got noise complaints about excessive noise made in the middle of the night. He lives alone, has no pets, has a normal day time job, and probably doesn't sleepwalk hard enough to draw noise complaints, but none of that seems to matter to landlords with unhappy tenants.

Such a frightening possibility in having children: there's always a chance that there's just something...off with them, and you just can't seem to fix or do anything about it. Can only do your best and hope they get better, and that they eventually turn out alright in the end...sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Best of luck with yours, Oerwinde. (e): This might have already been talked about...but have you considered having them see/work with a child psychologist/therapist? It seems kinda extreme...like I said, sometimes, these things work themselves out...and sometimes they don't.

Funny, I avoid habaneros *because* they taste fruity. It's a shame, because they're much more consistently spicy (and spicier in general) than jalapenos, but jalapenos taste so much better... Anyone know of any spicier-tasting jalapeno-like peppers?

ye' gods, it's impossible to find this song on youtube in non-garbage quality, that shows the whole clip, and doesn't start like a minute behind. I give up

I made up my mind about Emiliana Torrini. Any artist that can make me feel immense and crushing depression with just a song is a-okay in my book.

I'm not sure, since that entirely depends on what's "confusing" to you.

So stop reading reddit already. Stop stealing and re-posting content from them! (Although I'm sure you guys don't actually get your content from reddit...just that reddit, by its very nature, features popular content currently making its rounds throughout the internet, and generally does it faster than everywhere else. It's not called the "front page of the internet" - as stupid that sounds - for nothing, I suppose.)

I think I saw that on reddit a few days ago...and the same goes for pretty much everything that gets posted in the "weird, random, and interesting" thread.

I carried two bags of 25 pounds of basmati rice up a flight of stairs while carrying other bags of groceries. The "never take two trips" principal is upheld strongly and steadfastly.

Music. Must. Go on!
We post too much music: I was desperately trying to think of a song I hadn't heard in a while and couldn't remember the name of...and then I remembered that I had posted it in one these threads anywhere between 1 and 3 years ago. I blew like 45 minutes looking through each of these threads for my own posts for the specific song, and literally gave up and was about to stop bothering looking for it when I decided I may as well check the one last page I was on since it was already open...and there it was! Woo! (edit): Oh yeah, by the way, the whole "look at what member x has posted" function is completely useless: it only goes back a year! Unrelated song. Singer of Golumn's Song from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (link in case you've forgotten). Not sure what to make of her music quite yet.

Bloody dictatorship in Turkey
Its Bruce, I have to ask for proof (edit): Bah, why do you have a double-space in between the emoticon and proof? Now I have to edit it, and, well, that just ruins everything, really. (edit): And my double-space doesn't even show up. Confound it all!

- NFL 2015 Season
This is Peyton Manning, the football genius...supposedly the smartest quarterback in all of NFL history...who was unable to play competently for the majority of the season. He lead the league in interceptions throughout the regular season, while missing like a...uh...I want to say third of the regular season (I think it was about a total of 6 games, plus two half games?). I understand that the scheme may not have been a perfect fit for him, but...that's playing pretty badly. I also watched way too many passes early in the season by him that should've been interceptions, and some of those games they just barely won because of the defense. The only game where he looked like his old self was against the Packers (my team, of course...), and then it was all downhill again. To me and most everyone else, he has been playing really quite poorly this season. Not that his receivers dropping his actually good passes like crazy has helped him any...nevertheless, though.- NFL 2015 Season
Yeah, but if the Broncos win, it'll be hilarious. Peyton being not much more than a game manager (if even that) at the very end of his career, while a near historically good defense shreds. I can't imagine the Broncos would've been anything less than undefeated this year if they had Peyton from 2013.- NFL 2015 Season

Hmm, do you have to be convicted to be a criminal, or do just have to be engaging in criminal behavior? If the former, illegal immigrants technically wouldn't be criminals until actually caught and sentenced...if the latter, most of us probably are criminals because of random, obscure laws x, y, and z (that may or may not actually ever be enforced) that we've broken sometime or another...- Pizza Pandemonium

It's not so hard: treat every negative as a -1, then multiply. So "never" (-1) * not (1) * unfun (-1). Outside of probably a few rare cases, it's not really accepted to put three negatives in a single clause like that, though.- Pizza Pandemonium
