  1. Yeah, if it had carried him to a decent victory in Iowa, I'd be feeling a little more optimistic, but even there, turnout was pretty low...hoping for the best, expecting the worst.
  2. Yeah, going into the Catacombs...and especially going into the Tomb of the Giants...is a really bad idea before going to Anor Londo - it's so hard to get out. Naturally, it's what I did when I was going through the game for the first time...
  3. I actually thought it was a pretty decent game... (edit) what the hell hotkey did I just press to make this post by itself? That was weird...
  4. The vast majority of the commercials were pretty cringe-worthy. (e): Oh, and the half-time show, too. And...the post-game stuff, with the crying Panther player and the "are you retiring Peyton!?" and the terrible victory speech from the...um...woman that was the wife of the Broncos' owner, who looked like she'd had plastic surgery ten too many times and sounded drunk, high, or just not mentally all there. Yeah, pretty much anything that wasn't actual football. (e): Oh, and the absolutely atrocious pre-game stuff. CBS sucks.
  5. I have so much crap to do tomorrow that I'm not even sure if I can watch the Super Bowl...I'm sure I'll procrastinate some as per usual and do it anyways, though.
  6. Being around here a lot, the only reason you need to want Bernie to win the nomination is so Bruce can eat crow. Of course, if Hillary gets the nomination, then we all have to instead. Sweet baby Moses, please let Bernie win.
  7. Good to know Paradox is adding weird mechanics that don't really work to CK2 just as they have been to EU4, too.
  8. I have a friend who got noise complaints about excessive noise made in the middle of the night. He lives alone, has no pets, has a normal day time job, and probably doesn't sleepwalk hard enough to draw noise complaints, but none of that seems to matter to landlords with unhappy tenants.
  9. Such a frightening possibility in having children: there's always a chance that there's just something...off with them, and you just can't seem to fix or do anything about it. Can only do your best and hope they get better, and that they eventually turn out alright in the end...sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Best of luck with yours, Oerwinde. (e): This might have already been talked about...but have you considered having them see/work with a child psychologist/therapist? It seems kinda extreme...like I said, sometimes, these things work themselves out...and sometimes they don't.
  10. Funny, I avoid habaneros *because* they taste fruity. It's a shame, because they're much more consistently spicy (and spicier in general) than jalapenos, but jalapenos taste so much better... Anyone know of any spicier-tasting jalapeno-like peppers?
  11. If it were America and you tried that, they'd be finding a place to hide YOUR corpse...as well as your dog's!
  12. "Sanders's camp says that the Iowa Democratic Party has informed the campaigns that the caucus results from 90 precincts are missing."
  13. ye' gods, it's impossible to find this song on youtube in non-garbage quality, that shows the whole clip, and doesn't start like a minute behind. I give up
  14. I made up my mind about Emiliana Torrini. Any artist that can make me feel immense and crushing depression with just a song is a-okay in my book.
  15. I'm not sure, since that entirely depends on what's "confusing" to you.
  16. So stop reading reddit already. Stop stealing and re-posting content from them! (Although I'm sure you guys don't actually get your content from reddit...just that reddit, by its very nature, features popular content currently making its rounds throughout the internet, and generally does it faster than everywhere else. It's not called the "front page of the internet" - as stupid that sounds - for nothing, I suppose.)
  17. I think I saw that on reddit a few days ago...and the same goes for pretty much everything that gets posted in the "weird, random, and interesting" thread.
  18. Holy moly, it took forever to figure out, but it's Namutree. Last post two days ago, I must've been looking in all of the wrong places for his posts...went through like 15 different recent topics trying to find who it was... Signature: "I use blue text when I'm being sarcastic."
  19. It's one user's way of denoting sarcasm. Whoever says "blue" (teal) means sarcasm in their signature. They were just posting recently, but I can't remember who it was...
  20. I carried two bags of 25 pounds of basmati rice up a flight of stairs while carrying other bags of groceries. The "never take two trips" principal is upheld strongly and steadfastly.
  21. We post too much music: I was desperately trying to think of a song I hadn't heard in a while and couldn't remember the name of...and then I remembered that I had posted it in one these threads anywhere between 1 and 3 years ago. I blew like 45 minutes looking through each of these threads for my own posts for the specific song, and literally gave up and was about to stop bothering looking for it when I decided I may as well check the one last page I was on since it was already open...and there it was! Woo! (edit): Oh yeah, by the way, the whole "look at what member x has posted" function is completely useless: it only goes back a year! Unrelated song. Singer of Golumn's Song from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (link in case you've forgotten). Not sure what to make of her music quite yet.
  22. I've been that way for a few years, now...and I'm not exactly old, . The current gaming landscape has just kinda worn me out and I just don't see anything I'm interested in anymore...
  23. Its Bruce, I have to ask for proof (edit): Bah, why do you have a double-space in between the emoticon and proof? Now I have to edit it, and, well, that just ruins everything, really. (edit): And my double-space doesn't even show up. Confound it all!
