What, repeating the same garbage memes thread in and thread out, ad nauseam for all time? It sucks...it really does. Even in sports subreddits, it happens way too often...it's a toss-up whether you'll get actual decent and meaningful discussion or just a bunch of idiots posting "jokes". I like having the possibility for meaningful discussion among a wide and varied userbase...but in practice, most people are just idiots. In regards to the layout design...well, the issue is that it's NOT a forum, and it doesn't seem to really be made to emulate one. The site's primary purpose seems to be "entertainment", and so the comments that people think are the "best" (in whatever way people deem best) rise to the top...and so discussion doesn't really matter outside of the smaller subreddits...or unless you're one of the very first posters to a thread. See, all the threads you ever see on the bigger subreddits, or on the front page...or anywhere close to the front page...are threads that are usually already a few hours old - by the time you see these threads, discussion is already mostly dead by virtue of the fact that the thread already has hundreds of comments and nobody can really read anything besides the mostly highly upvoted crap. It's not really meant to be a forum for actual discussion, and it shows. It doesn't help that all the stuff that appears on the front page is mostly worthless garbage, too.

90% seems a little low, I'd go for 100% if I never had to read "le" again. RIP me. ...Although, to be fair, I also think reddit is a garbagehole in most respects...and only use it for sports discussion and smaller communities. Reddit the community and reddit "the front page of the internet" sucks pretty bad, so I can see why people don't like it in general.

That's actually true. It's difficult to get the #6 seed even if we do win out (but don't get the division), never mind the #5 seed, so yeah.

oh, also what the hell, packers even while aaron rodgers was injured and gimpy the entire game, you absolutely and totally trashed the seahawks, ruining their "always within 10 points" streak that they'd had going on for the last like 3-4 years or so (that actually used to be "within 7 points" before the seahawks-packers game last year) I don't know what the hell kind of team the Packers are at all, really

Actually, I'm still not sure whether the Giants winning is a good thing: on one hand, it makes the Cowboys want to crush the Lions...on the other, it makes a wildcard possibility that much more difficult for the Packers, particularly with so many other teams who have 7 or 8 wins. It was going to be a win-lose situation either which team won, so whatever.

C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\(Random String.default)\ This is where Firefox's user profile data is stored in Windows 7. I don't remember exactly how transplanting the data into a new install works because it's been a while since I've done it myself, but I would imagine copying+overwriting the contents of the profile directory into whatever your new profile directory is in Windows 10 would work (this would also overwrite anything you have in your current Firefox profile, though, so back up anything you have there if necessary). Close Firefox before doing it, obviously: let me know how that goes if you try.

Also, Carr has a pretty legit shot at getting MVP this year if this continues...especially with Matt Ryan fading down the stretch, as he always does when he begins the year so brilliantly...

Yes, I was hoping the Chargers would win...and I was obviously hoping for the Cardinals' win. Buccaneers and Falcons and Redskins all being ahead of the Packers makes it much harder to get there, especially with the Lions soundly beating the Saints today, and the Giants soundly losing. I pray that at least one of the Cowboys and Giants beat the Lions...Giants should at least be trying, even if the Cowboys aren't.

Doesn't that depend on the state you reside in?

California has such a bad rap for being overwhelmingly liberal...large swathes of the state are pretty conservative (and Christian!). This is the state that overturned...what was it, gay marriage?...by referendum not *that* incredibly long ago, after all. Yes, the state is still majority liberal...but it's not like the entire thing is just a hellhole of PC and SJW culture and such.

If you lived and grew up in California, but don't currently reside there and haven't for a few years, can you still call yourself a Californian? Or am I now an ex-Californian?

I remain a bit unconvinced of this game. I really disliked Skyward Sword, and this mostly looks more of the same. We'll see, I guess.

For me, it's the basic problem of length and complexity. Most of BG's complexities (THAC0, AC, saving throws, resistances, etc. with probably the one exception of spell/ability effects), was stuff that happened behind the scenes: the actual combat system was pretty basic outside of a couple, maybe a few dozen battles throughout the game (think bosses, dragons, powerful spellcasters, etc.), and combat was usually pretty quick and deadly. In Pillars of Eternity, it feels like every single battle, down to the last kobold (or whatever the heck they called them: I can't remember, but there was a pretty equivalent creature) is overly complicated and lengthy. People complain about "trash" fights in BG2, but holy cow, give me these so-called trash fights if it means avoiding the repetitive monotony of PoE where I go through the same stupid encounter with the same stupid type of creature over and over and over, and it's just as complicated and long and tedious as it was the first time. As a huge BG/2 and PST fan, I really, really tried to like Pillars...Steam says I put 63 hours into it...but the more I played it, the more I hated it.

I hope we do. The one piece of bad news for you is that we don't play the Lions until week 16 and there's a chance that we will have nothing left to play for at that point in the season, so the Lions may be playing against the Boys 2nd stringers for half the game. To that end, I would expect you to root for the G-Men next week since a Dallas loss means they'll have to play hard the rest of the season while a win means they can start resting guys a bit. Of course, the Pack need to take care of business this week for any of that to matter. Who y'all playin'? Hosting Texans...then hosting the Seahawks... Now Texans, we SHOULD be able to handle...but we do have probably the worst secondary in the league, so maybe that's when Brock Osweiler and Hopkins finally look good: wouldn't surprise me. Seahawks, on the other hand...

Why's that? I don't have that much against the Cowboys...especially compared to most Packers fans. I don't take rivalries, current or historic, *too* seriously (this is all just a game and entertainment, after all), and the Cowboys almost certainly have the #1 seed locked down - the #2 at least. The Vikings, on the other hand, are competing for the division and/or a wildcard while the Packers are playing catch-up. This week isn't even the most important: the Lions@Cowboys is even more so, so please win there, too! Also, thank you for sparing my sight.
