Rest in peace, what.cd, the Library of Alexandria of music.

Inside...for best story? Firewatch? I don't know about Oxenfree, but I've personally played the entirety of the first and I've seen people play the second, and either this was a very poor year for storytelling in gaming, or, well, the ones deciding the nominees were a bit daft. I mean, Inside's an alright game and all...but best story? It barely HAD a story!

I have difficulty mustering up much sympathy for Obama...or the Democratic Party in general...when it was partly thanks to their efforts in trying to ensure that Hillary won the primaries that we now have Trump as president. It's not like her various scandals and flaws weren't well-known then. No, I feel bad for Bernie Sanders, who was cheated and insulted by the people who were supposed to share a similar ideology to him...and for all of us who actually tried to get him to win.

I don't think so, sadly. The Packers' organization has been loyal to a fault: I think it will take at least one more year of underperformance, if not two, before they seriously consider it.

In regards to the Packers, I think it really comes down to how stubborn McCarthy is. It's really frustrating to see him come up with excellent gameplans that work wonderfully for a couple of weeks, suited for the teams we're playing against and the players that we currently have, whether as a result of injuries or how people are playing...and then see him switch back to the vanilla gameplan that we've been trying to force for the past two seasons that has not worked one bit. Our offense is capable of playing well, but it's not capable of playing well in the same way it did in years past, and McCarthy seems to think that trying to force it to do exactly that will work, when it very patently has not for the last two years.

Yeah, that's true. And on the AFC side, it looks pretty similar there, too, with three teams from the AFCW being .700 or better, and literally only the Patriots in the entirety of the rest of the AFC being that,

My only point was that the NFC East likely produces two wild card teams, not just one. Have you seen the state of the NFC North? If the Packers are going to the playoffs, I feel very strongly that it will have to be as a division champion, not as a wild card. It's very unlikely to be anyone from the NFC South, the Giants currently have one game over anybody else for a spot, and the Redskins have another half game (tie) over anybody else as well...and then the Eagles are tied for the only other 5-4 team, the Vikings. So basically, you're looking at somebody from the NFC North or the Cardinals to get the second wildcard spot, and the chances of that are...not great, especially given that the NFC East has been mostly wrecking the NFC North.

"which team goes in as a wild card"? You mean which teams?

The "best OS background" award goes to whatever background is not stupidly blindingly bright - aka, it's basically impossible for any version of Windows to win this award.
-
Pretty close to winning that game, too. Such is life... ...Glad the Packers in the NFCN, where the entire division has imploded so there's still a chance they can win it.

Based on the fact that I loved the RTWP combat of the Infinity Engine games, but hated PoE's torturous implementation of it, I'm not sure if it's necessarily a fault of the fact that it's RTWP...and in fact, I feel as though, if combat rules were still mostly the same, making it turn-based would not help matters at all.

It could even be longer than that, like 2, or even 3 years: just eventually, so we don't have to worry about games going forever quietly into the night a la consoles. I already regret that with playing Bloodborne: my favorite of the Souls games, and now I don't have a PS4, and so I basically won't ever be able to play it again unless I get a PS4 again...until emulators for the PS4 come out in like ten years, I guess.

Discretion is the better part of...uh, game design, I guess.

Agreed with Humanoid: size (and reliability) > than outright speed. Samsung Pros are not really worth the extra cash, while a better argument could be made for the Samsung EVOs...particularly if you get them at a sale price. In reality, though, there's a lot of good options...and a few bad ones with controversies: simply try to avoid the latter category while making the best business decision for the former. Also, fortunately, we've moved away from a lot of the crappier controllers like SandForce over the past few years, so things, in that regard, look better than ever.

Hey, it's symbiosis: you provide it a home and opportunity for food, it provides you the ability to satisfy your maternal instincts. I'm currently host to one my siblings and their family because a crazy person has been stalking and intimidating them over the past few weeks. It's currently a madhouse.

Wow, the Packers are really bad.

Yeah, I actually just finished Owlboy. The charm and atmosphere of Wind Waker, a combination of a bit of Donkey Kong Country and a bit of Zelda and...maybe something else for gameplay. It was pretty good, but it was not revolutionary whatsoever. Just a pretty solid game with great art.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yul_AGm-7G I think the Stalker one (and Stalker in general) works the best out of the three, though. Diablo is maybe a little too high energy, while the Off song is probably using too weird of an instrument to truly sound "hell"-like.

BG2 voice-acting was pretty darned good throughout: I'm not sure how somebody could argue against that, with the ridiculous amount of work that was put into it. Maybe a few miscellaneous characters could've been better, but on whole, quality generally ranged from serviceable to good and sometimes even great. It's a little absurd to think of just how many little soundsets for all the different types of monsters and character types they bothered to make. If I had to pick out a weakness, actually, it would actually be that some of the main playable characters...think Cernd and maybe Viconia...fell into the "merely serviceable" end of the spectrum...but because if you have them stick around for so long, it can easily get to feel like they fall below that after hearing them too much. Planescape: Torment I am less sure about, mainly because it's my impression that there wasn't nearly as much voice-acting in PST as there was in BG2, and so it's harder for me to remember and gauge it.

Wow, it actually finally happened. Congratulations, Amentep,

I am also playing on normal. After the soul crushing grind of the combat of Pillars, I have no desire to make the combat any more tedious than it has to be. I considered doing story mode, in truth. well, screw that, if they somehow conspired to make it WORSE than pillars, good lord
-
And yet they still somehow managed to make it embarrassingly cringey and completely without reason or sense. Bah, humbug. Regardless, they actually just came out today and said the previous reports were false:

Hopefully there won't be some completely idiotic and nonsensical romance going on like the previous game...

Hey, some of us tried.
