Buy it I loved the ending, but don't think of the game as something else than a grindfest.

OK, my turn to inform you all of a forgotten classic. Think Jagged Alliance meets Red Alert. Set in the pliocene era (correct me if I'm wrong), with apemen and mammoths. Original War is to date the best blend of RPG and strategy I've played. Yes, screw Age of Wonders. If Original War counts as a strategy game, it also has the most interesting single-player campaign I've seen in any strategy game except Sacrifice. It's one of the few strategy games where you feel that none of your soldiers is truly expendable. The graphics may be considered dated, but if you are comfortable with isometric 2d I can tell you you'll have no problem. (Picture from the prologue in the American campaign)

I can see no Torment in that list, and no Thief either. This list thing is really kinda stupid

... They usually won't put that level of detail into how they're setting up the politics. Rather, they just make the villian so obviously evil that politics won't really come into it beyond "You=good, them=bad!" As to the Saudi's not having a link between religion culture and politics you MUST be joking, if they didn't have that link then we'd probably see at least one saudi king who doesn't support islam. Heck anymore, religion plays a LARGE role in defining a culture, particularly in that area. It must have been irony...

Probably don't want to do that Tannu Tuva gets annexed in '44 by Soviet Union. I know that, since I have tried playing Tannu Tuva in HoI 2 (and played the SU like 20 times). However the event does not fire if you are not a member of the comintern .

Seriously guys, I can't see why you keep calling Lo®D a troll. What does it matter whether or not nobody ever agrees with him if he is able to argue without offending anyone, (which apparently is more than most of you can say).

Utter genius, now there's only the tiny technical issue of actually making it work.

If I don't confuse things, it has 3D support, although it only emulates the S3 Savage or something like that.

I thought the RE4 PC port was pretty good. The most lacking aspect of the game is probably parts of the story anyway.

I think it would be pretty stupid if the PC did not get any pre-order bonuses. But since: 1. The pre-orders are only valid for Gamestop, a bland, uninteresting store I don't go to (and I've never even heard of Gamecrazy, so...) 2. I want the ****ing game anyway, this will not make me buy the game from another store or make me buy the game for a console. It's sad I won't get anything since I feel I'm one of the most reliable customers for Obsidian games (I buy all games on release), and I must say that if this decision has changed my mind in any way, it only made me believe more than ever that Gamestop and TV consoles are the axis of evil in the modern games industry that must be stopped, through whatever means possible

ZOE is one great game. Although I must admit I have not played the sequel.

I also played NWN 2 with an Aasimar Paladin when I played it for the first time. I had no trouble at all until the final battle. In fact, I don't even remember how I handled the area you're talking about. Are you sure you have the "right" party members for the task, or that you have not made a weird character build?

I can confirm that what Bokishi said about VMs and W7 is true. Choosing not to upgrade to W7 from XP is still a sane alternative, choosing to go for anything else than W7 when buying a new computer should be thought about carefully. But to reiterate what I stated earlier, you who haven't tried W7 yet should just do so to form your own opinion. It's easy, and it's really the best way to find out whether W7 is something for you or not (disregarding future uses for W7).

This is funny, last night I dreamt of MW4 without knowledge of this new release. I dreamt I was at a computer games convention, and someone had reprogrammed MW4 with cel-shaded graphics. First I thought it was AMOK or MW2, until someone explained to me it was MW4 with new graphics :S. Strangest premonition I ever had (and it's not that I dream of mW games every night )...

Hearts of Iron will be the RTS (RTwPS?) of 2009, I tell you! I have already preordered two copies.
