  1. lolz Bomb sights and weapon systems don't kill people, capitalists do...
  2. Well, I assume that the developers will put more focus on Communist -related ideologies since the People demanded that the game would be delayed to offer more dialogue of that fashion (like for example "Collectivise", which we have seen in a screenshot). I mean, if you can choose James Bond, Jason Bourne or Jack Bauer, why not Joel Barr? For those of us bent towards Stalinism and a non- violent approach.
  3. Exactly my thoughts. Well, yes... Or maybe something happened in the real world that suddenly made Alpha Protocol's story "controversial"? Lol.
  4. Well, the fact that different sites have different release dates does support the idea that they all got informed of an indefinite delay and then guessed their own release dates. It's not like it's the first time that happens.
  5. Please, is this the subforum "Alpha Protocol Speculation & Discussion" or is it "Alpha Protocol Speculation & Calling Each Other Trolls"?
  6. Also, I hope that Alpha Protocol will follow in the footsteps of communist RPGs of the past and have a classless skill system! Long live the revolution of Fallout (and I'm not talking about the reactionary crypto-fascist bull**** that was the third installation in the series) and Arcanum! Hands of our game SEGA, Alpha Protocol belongs to the people, not to some bourgeoisie clowns!
  7. Outrageous! They seem to have lumped together Marxism-Leninism and Titoism and made them into a single dialogue option... Man, I miss BG2, where there would be options for EVERY communist alignment. Things are so simplified these days. Fat chance we will see that kind of depth again in modern RPGs with the new edition of the DnD rules (and with the 360 having only four of those fancy buttons to choose dialogue stance with). Besides, only one of the buttons is actually red. How are you supposed to fit the entire spectrum of authoritarian socialism into one button? At least they could have made a pink button for anarcha-feminism or a black one for Barack Obama.
  8. Ok, so maybe you can't play Alpha Protocol as a communist. But you style Mike Thorton with communist facial hair?
  9. I preordered Alpha Protocol for 399 sek, however to preorder it now costs 519 sek. I think my store (Webhallen) make it a rule to lower prices if you preorder games (especially niche games) long before they're released.
  10. Where I buy games, it's cheaper to preorder + you just pick them up at the store + you can cancel your preorder at any time, even after the game has been released (i.e. before you pick it up). Basically, due to the fact that a preorder is cheaper, it would be rational to preorder any game you might want to buy a week or less after release. I wouldn't preorder if I found out that another retailer sold the games for less than it's preorder price on release though. But considering my other options, that's not likely.
  11. I thought the original Cyberia was pretty lame so you didn't make a mistake there. EDIT: I haven't played Cyberia 2 though, so maybe they are really the same kind of **** and you happen to like it.
  12. Wow. That song made my day!
  13. I remember the ruckus caused by the "in case of fire: **** a duck" sign in a russian building. At least that was fun. I don't like Latin sentences that don't make sense. In fact, I also tried translating it but in the end I wasn't sure about what it meant anyway. I assumed that was because of my sucky latin skills but apparently not.
  14. Normally I'd agree, but that would mean somewhere out there exists another Herve Caen.
  15. How much do you earn? Is it worth money selling your old stuff or are you doing it just because your conscience tells you someone else could be using your old graphics cards?
  16. I used to do 70 per rep when exercising. My gym record has been quite erratic lately, though.
  17. What do you do with all your old video cards? Is there a large market for used computer peripherals?
  18. 1. 85 2. 45 3. No time today, we'll see tomorrow I think it's very hard doing sit-ups fast actually. I did not tuck my feet under something for this exercise, but it's possible it might go much faster then. I actually used to go to the gym regularly before this summer, but studies, drinking with friends and organizing other activities have bogged me down lately.
  19. That statement is actually pretty interesting. I'm not saying that it's wrong, though. What about the economical situation, had there been no war? If your tax did not increase, what paid for the war? Due to circumstance, I'm actually for the current health care system in the US. However I'm happy we don't have the same system where I live (even though it would probably be in my immidiate interest to reform the Swedish system into one similar to the American one).
