  1. If I could have delayed AP to, say, December 20th, I would gladly do that if that meant Obsidian got more time to polish the game. But I think it's probably stupid to delay the game's release past christmas eve. However, naturally, whether or not the game is delayed does not change my decision to preorder and frankly I don't see why anyone would cancel their preorder because AP was delayed (unless they are very poor and/or very busy in June). EDIT: lol
  2. So, anyone in this forum using a SSD/ planning to buy one?
  3. I liked Storm of Zehir MotB was way better though... But tough to play as an Evil character.
  4. I don't care if it comes a month or two later or not, I just care about how good it will be when that time comes. Ok, if SEGA (and not Obsidian) delays the game, then it's another story. But I'm already angry at SEGA, so whatever.
  5. At least it's clear to see (from the link) that they chose their CPU cooling well. Although my Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme is outfitted with a Noctua fan, and not Thermalright's default fan (too noisy).
  6. Basically, Neverwinter has been destroyed and Baldur's Gate has become the most prominent city on the expense of said Neverwinter. Yes, it could as well be IWD 3, I mean seriously... Either Obsidz is working on BG3 right now, or it's Bioware's next project.
  7. I we only knew who the publisher for this new game was. If it's Atari, it's bound to be Baldur's Gate 3. I mean, the changes to Baldur's Gate in 4th ed. basically screams for a game to be located there.
  8. Montreal smells funny. It would be interesting to see it in Deus Ex 3 though.
  9. So, let's assume it's a RPG. If it's "dormant", it's also (probably) not a franchise someone else is already working at, or something anyone has been doing for quite some time. With both NWN 2, KotOR 2 and now Fallout: New Vegas, Obsidian must have gained quite the reputation for continuing the work of others. Also, the mere usage of the word "franchise" implies that it is just that, a franchise of some repute (and not just a sequel to a single game). Also, Obsidian would probably not strike a deal with a publisher with a weak economy. Or maybe they already hold the rights? Would it also be reasonable to assume that Obsidian wants to create a game in which they can recycle their art assets from "Alien: Crucible"? So, let's look at the big publishers and the franchises they hold. Let's just say this: whatever it is, it's bound to be a big thing
  10. 500 GB is puny. DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz? You must be out of your mind. Get RAM with a higher clock frequency. Oh, and I think you forgot to mention your mainboard's FSB - quite crucial (even though I'd not expect anyone to sell a "gaming computer" with a sucky mobo to anyone). Also, cooling specs? Most probably you don't want to end up with a system that sound like a lawn mower. The CPU is sufficient, but the graphic cards are almost a little bit overkill. Are you sure you're not getting an unbalanced system? Might be an idea to buy 1 better card at first and install a second one for SLI when the prices drop.
  11. I also got Windows 7 for free (through MSDNAA)!
  12. Whatever she meant, I don't think her thoughts should change you opinion on the matter. If she starts a conversation with you about settling down and having kids, you should reply in a way that makes sense and you can stand for regardless of what her intentions are.
  13. Oh my god, the maths! My eyes! The goggles do nothing!
  14. I'd almost wish LoF was my alt, because it would be damn funny. Not all these topics in WoT (which are kind of interesting at first but all tend to derail rather quickly in the same direction), but everything he writes in the Alpha Protocol forum. I thought "can you smoke weed in this game", "can you be black in this game", "are there any anarco-syndicalist communes in AP", "must I play Thorton as a neocolonialist oppressor" et.c. were hilarious. If there ever is a sequel to Alpha Protocol, I'd seriously want the protagonist to be a weed-smoking anarcho-syndicalist black woman (kind of like Leroy's mama in Surf Nazis Must Die, warning: mature content) who only wants to stick a bomb up in the ass of all neocolonialist oppressors. I mean, if you did it with a bit of humor, it would be hilarious.
  15. I think it's kind of funny that since politicians' campaigns are funded by certain business interests, they can't act against said interests. In short, short-term personal gain and what would otherwise be a democratic system combines into an entirely different political system. Now what do I think is wrong in this whole business? I'm honestly not entirely sure. I'll just say that it strenghens my confidence in some personal virtues.
  16. True. Weird War (not related to the Weird War PnP RPG?) was intended as the sequel to Another War, but it was never released. Which is a pity, considering all the interesting stuff you heard about it
  17. Okay, so now we know there is an achievement for eating all the roast beef in the game. But is there an achievement for being a vegetarian? And what's it called?
  18. I lol'd. Although you forgot Latvia Nah, that's too far away No destination is too far away when you can travel there by boat for almost no money at all while drinking cheap Russian/Estonian/Latvian vodka.
  19. Well, that is my definition of justice. That's fair. I'm not the only person in this thread that understands the subjective nature of justice. True, but we always happen to believe our own idea of justice is the best, right?
  20. The reconciliation between Japan and the US after WW2 was quick, which was a good thing (since you wouldn't have wanted a "treaty of Versailles"), but admittedly there were lots of crimes that were allowed to slip away unpunished. Germany was of course more harshly treated, but because of the partition of Germany it's not really possible to compare the two countries here. Also, I believe the Sino-Japanese war was fought with far more civilian casualties than WW2 in Europe (minus the Soviet Union). I'd say that we should look forward and be happy that Japan currently has no belligerent tendencies.
