  1. If only the solution was so easy. I'm afraid you'll have to fix the situation in Somalia first though, or else new pirates will just keep appearing as soon as you've killed off the old ones.
  2. I bet funcroc knows what the new project is.
  3. If it's a new project based on existing IP, and not KotOR or NWN, it's probably Baldur's Gate 3. Although I would want it to be Arcanum 2 EDIT: Yes, of course I would be even more eager for a new Planescape game. But I will probably wait in vain for that.
  4. Dude, thanks for reminding me of that great song, it was ages ago I last heard it... EDIT: This is also one of my fav 80's songs
  5. Dont think that next StarCraft part will be released before next WarCraft part http://www.starcraft2.com/faq.xml#trilogy
  6. Maybe it's the next part in the Starcraft trilogy that SC2 turned into?
  7. I remember this old FPS where you would jump in an elevator descending faster than the pull of gravity and die of falling damage when it stopped. Also, see the screenshot for a very peculiar bug on my old Win98 PC (I don't remember why I kept savegame folders on the desktop but I think it had something to do with swapping hard drives).
  8. It is umodded - I didn't think any of the mods I could find seemed very interesting. Is there a particular good one we should try? (it has to work for MP) I see what you mean with Meretskov, I have the guy who gives me 25% manpower, but the 20% org. regain would be alot better! I guess I'll have to attack now then, so the US won't get germanies techteams (mine suck too). Most of the good mods (or at least, the ones I like) like CORE are not really game- altering mods, but mods that add more realism by correcting small mistakes. Even though I appreciate the hard work behind these mods, they're not really for people who are into HoI but rather people who are into WW2 and history. Yeah, and the point of having Meretskov as your CoS is that your soldiers will fight more with than their Org. level and regain whould otherwise allow. If your intent is to win a war of attrition you'll need your men to fight the enemy constantly, and reinforce them well so that you gain the full advantage of your manpower. Sure, Shaposhnikov makes sense as a peace- time CoS, and Rokossovsky makes sense as a late- game CoS (tanks), but Meretskov is what you'll need when you fight Germany. Also, I've never been out of manpower with the SU myself, so you shouldn't worry about that.
  9. Well, unmodded AI Germany should be easy to beat if you've focused on your military on any difficulty except for Very Hard. Japan will be more than a nuisance if they decide to attack, but they almost never do that anyway, so that should not be a problem. If you're going with the option to get tech teams on annexation, you'll need to occupy Germany before you friend does . Also, since you're playing as the SU you'll need to focus on wars of attrition when you're fighting technologically superior enemies (basically US, Germany and maybe Japan), and always choose Meretskov as your chief of staff.
  10. I'm currently looking forward to playing Zeno Clash, which I preordered on Steam just a minute ago. Best visual design since Sacrifice, or something.
  11. Oh please Obsidz. A little less action, a little more conversation please.

    Maths

Why shouldn't they be imaginary, when the entire concept of mathematics is imaginary.
  13. "A Boy and His Dwarf Dance Party" "Irish Makeover Enforcer" "Ebony Paintball 1942" ... LOL.
  14. OMFG! They must have added it afterwards, Bard is not a character class in the 4e Player's Handbook I've seen.
  15. This is so typical. I've been through this myself and I've also talked to other people times about this "phenomenon". Apparently women also have similar stories about men who behave this way! I think the problem is really that people in general don't show their appreciation when they should. It's not really something to break up over but rather something to discuss together.
  16. http://www.techradar.com/news/computing/ha...-monitor-411179 I bought one of these yesterday, and from my experience with it thus far I can easily recommend it.
  17. Great job, dude. I plan on staring threads in some Swedish sites and of course forcing all my friends (ok, gaming friends) to buy it.
  18. Yeah, the first thing I see when I think "Saudi Arabia" is oil sheiks and places kind of like the pictures the OP posted. But the places we've seen in videos and pictures from AP is most probably some old deserted place, a hideout for covert activities, and not a modern Saudi- Arabian city :S. As for Islam being a peaceful religion - I think Islam is just as peaceful as any other religion, but that probably explains more about my views on religion than my views on Islam.
  19. Well, if "nobody cares" about Alpha Protocol then it's up to us forum fanboys to do some grassroots advertising, don't you agree?
  20. Well, there are other things to keep in mind when buying a guitar. If you want that special sound, it's very important which pickups you choose (I strongly recommend Seymour Duncan pickups). I'd also watch out for cheap tremolo bars. I don't know if it's an issue when you play the guitar, but when you choose an electric bass you have to think about if you'll use heavy gauge strings. For example, if you tune your guitar or bass to D or C# you'll notice it's easier playing with a heavier gauge . Different guitars and basses are fitted with a saddle that's optimized for different gauges. And then there's also the Floyd Rose Tremolo, but by the time you'll be interested in that, you're probably not a beginner anymore.
  21. Cleric! Bah, I'm angry they removed the bard.
  22. That's completely true... I thought the Medieval 2: TW AI was bad, but this is even worse.
