Ukraine Conflict - "History never looks like history when you are living through it."
A small glimpse on a few facts about how the current invasion started and how the Russian propaganda is strong and skews even the minds of the people who doublecheck all the stuff and are wathing closely on the relations between Russia and Ukraine for a long time, like myself... Even I was fooled with some of their justifications of invading, because "Ukraine is attacking civilians in Donbas". I was under the impression, that due to the clashes, a lot of Russian and Ukrainian civilians die each year... The official OHCHR report gives data, that in last three years on both sides died 27, 16 and 25 civilians respectively, and this is what Russia has been calling a genocide... And now compare it to officially 4600+ killed civilians during the last 4 months of the invasion... The number is factually much higher, because Russia does not allow any official UN representatives to document the civilian casualties in Russian occupied territories. here are two latest pre-war reports: https://ukraine.un.org/index.php/en/149895-32nd-report-ohchr-human-rights-situation-ukraine-covers-period-1-february-31-july-2021-it https://ukraine.un.org/index.php/en/176043-report-human-rights-situation-ukraine-1-august-2021-31-january-2022 And here is the YT video about it, if you do not feel like reading it in the middle of summer...

Well, a lot of people with a little bit more knowledge on Russia/Ukraine relations said that in a lot of different places, including myself, because no rational person would ever do this kind of action against country of 50 million with battle hardened army, with many allies, and would consider it as an easy and profitable task... Even the most powerful/rich oligarch in Russia Deripaska has released the statement few days ago at one of the schools, that destroying Ukraine is completely stupid idea, which would not bring anything to Russia, and that Russian has lost in 4 months every economic progress, which they achieved after the break-up of USSR... https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/tycoon-deripaska-casts-doubt-russia-quest-victory-ukraine-2022-06-28/ Everyone sane in Russia except the ideological leaders and people deeply lost into their propaganda are seeing this from the beginning, and even before beginning of the war, that this conquest will bring Russia absolutely nothing...

You should no longer wonder, who is gonna pay for it. Common Russian people are already paying for it: https://hnonline-sk.translate.goog/svet/96026989-ani-pocas-druhej-svetovej-vojny-sa-ludia-nepytali-na-vyplatu-odkazal-sef-strajkujucim-v-rusku?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp

What are you Playing Now? I name all the operations that go down in Taipei.
I played a little bit of Assetto Corsa again, and who would have guessed it, today, third Sunday in a row, the wheel stopped to work again 😄 Fanatec issued me an RMA, so I will be sending it to Germany tomorrow.

Here you have an analysis about the situation with DNR/LNR forces. (They are not mercenaries) Few days ago also the leader of LNR has released the statement, that half of their pre-war army is gone.

So I have just used the oportunity, and driven 4 short races to finish the GT4 part of Career Championship in Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 in Assetto Corsa. I bet, it will not work again tomorrow...

In the Kharkiv region Ukrainian offensive is now concentrated around Balaklia, and because Kharkiv is practically impossible to conquer, they left only minimum troops guarding it, just to be able to maintain stalemate. And around Kherson and in Zaporizhia Oblast, the attack made there are primarily to lure out some Russian troops out of Luhansk Cauldron. When you compare how the map looked like after Russia left Kyiv two months ago, the Russia made only minimal gains. Ukraine took some land and is now concentrated on stalemate, until more of the stuff from land-lease arrives, while doing as much damage to Russian troops as possible. And yes a lot of Ukrainian troops die as well, but still less than in Russian army. And then, there is as much sabotage as possible at Russian and occupied soil to hinder their GLOCs as much as possible.

Well, there have been a lot of attacks on Russian and occupied soil in last few days. 7 ammunition warehouses blown up in DNR, something has expolded in Simferopol in Crimea, 2 occupied Russian gas/oil rigs blown up in Black Sea, one big warehouse and command center near Kharkiv, and a lot of kabooms around Belgorod.

Well, even the operation in the east is not much more successful, than the operation around the Kyiv. The "funny" thing is, that the Russia is doing the same mistakes as Germans in WW2 while storming the Ukraine. They are able to seize only small villages, from which Ukrainian army retreats, with the exception of Izyum (oh the irony) and Mariupoľ. The current invasion in Luhansk is going so bad, that it initiated another Purge at the Army leadership. Also in the east, the military units of the Russian army has been so decimated, that the leading force of the attack is now Wagner and Rosgvardia. The conventional Russian military units are just to decimated, including their officer ranks, that they are no longer feasible to execute the required offensive tasks in required power. Also, there are more and more ads around Russia for recruitment of officers, due to them being utterly decimated... 750+ are confirmed by their family members and city officials at their home cities... The theoretical number must be even more terrifying for the functioning of the Russian army. Also there are reports, that new reservists are deployed to the front just after a few days of training... Which says pretty much a lot about how bad the operation is going for Russia despite gaining ground in some small villages on flat land, which is impossible to defend by UA... https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/russian-offensive-campaign-assessment-june-21

And you are again forgetting, that here are a lot of people who lived in Soviet Occupied territories for more than a decade, who experienced more than a ****load of these so called "terrible crimes against the west" perpetrated by Soviets/Russians first hand... especially people like bugarup, who lives in Baltics...

With the confirmed report that the largest tank producing/repairing facility in Russia/World had to be shut down due to lack of western components to produce more, I'd guess few years if not a decade, if the sanctions status quo remains the same as now. Because even Chinese IT companies are leaving Russian market, and are not willing to risk the fallout of circumventing the sanctions.

Oh and I have just found out the info about current state of vehicle losses for Russia in 4 months. I Putin still issues a threats all around the world, especially to Kazakhstan, who laughed to Putin's face in St. Petersburgh when talked about Luhansk and Donetsk recognition.

Th thing is, Lithuania is still upholding the order per the treaty between EU and Russia. They did not stop the transport of passengers, nor any goods, which are not on sanction list. And if Russia want to send some of their own microprocessors to their exclave 🤣, they can still use their ship lines from St. Petersburg Oh and as another counter-argument here is and example how Russia's view on upholding the order looks like 🤷♂️

That one is pretty old news, from all of the sources which I have found about this, it looks like, the news is that they are running out of Soviet Era ammunition, which they had on stock before the war. After the war, this ammunition was donated by most of the eastern european NATO countries, so they should be safe for some more time. And they are starting to stockpile the new NATO standard ammunition. Also, Ukraine would be completely stupid, if they would not manufacture this kind of munitions somewhere in the Western Ukraine, or made a deal about it with Poland or other eastern european country.

Looks like the bombardment of Snake Island is legit. According to pro-russian blogger rybar at 4am local time a people of Odessa region reported at least 35 ruptures at Snake Island. Translation of his post: " Today, at 4 o'clock in the morning, the Armed Forces of Ukraine began a fire defeat of the island: tactical aviation and artillery are working on the objects of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Ukrainian media reported that local residents of the Odessa region heard at least 35 ruptures from Zmeiny."

Ok some interesting news I have found today: Russia already in recession. "To summarise, the recession in April has already impacted two-thirds of the regions. At the same time, there are no grounds to believe that the lower point of decline has already been reached". This one is still unconfirmed, please take it with a grain of salt. Although the Harpoon hit against their supply tug boat few days ago might have been the start of something bigger around Snake Island. And the confirmed losses of Russian officers have already surpassed 750 bodies... Also Kazakh president on St. Petersburgh economic forum has made a statement, that Kazakhstan will never recognize the DNR and LNR independence. Right after that, Putin already issued threats to all CSE countries, that they are either with them, or they will end up as Ukraine as well... Pretty strong words for a leader of an Army which is struggling in a small area in Luhansk so much that there are increased reports, that the Russian servicemen are attacking their officers

I would rather recommend you to go little bit more south to Costa Rica or Panama. To much risk of lead poisoning in Mexico as well 😛

Well, have you expected anything less from Lithuania, after there was a law presented in Duma, that the declaration of their independence from Soviet Union is invalid?
