  4. You know, when i want to play a game, i want play right away not to wait for stuff to download and then to play
  5. I don't. Steam is just another form of DRM, albeit a slightly more attractive one than most. I agree that Steam is just another form of DRM, but I think it is less attractive than most. Most games of the past few years have still used CD activation keys and I find those to be far more attractive as a form of DRM. I love the Steam one because when I reformat my computer getting all my Steam games back is uber-easy. It's easier to redownload 50GB of games than to reinstal it from CDs? For me, totally. Having to dig out the discs and then swap them and have it install for an hour is way more of a hassle than setting Steam to download and doing whatever in the mean time. 50GB would take about 12h with my connection over Steam. Installing 50GB worth of games from my DVDs would be max 2 hours... And speaking about misplacing CDs/DVDs??? Seriously I have over 200 of them for 4 different gaming systems, and I have never ever misplaced any... And when i want install or run some old game, I can find anything in 15-20 seconds... All you need is good system for sorting it...

  7. I'll believe it when I see it. It's kind of funny that I love Diablo II which is pretty much a grindfest, but dislike MMOs. Maybe something to do with the people thing... Diablo co-op was super fun. Have you tried playing MMOs with friends? It does help for you misanthropes that are incapable of dealing with regular human beings. Yes i have, it gets boring in after a while, because it is still the same silly grind

  13. I heard that from at least 5 MMOs in last 5 years, and most of them ended up like grindfest

  21. Bah. If you're a serious PC gamer then you ought to have a halfway decent PC. Where's that rubbish notion coming anyways that MMO players all own some outdated crook PCs? You can have an uber machine, but you would be happy if your PC AoC can handle 15v15 PvP Battle in AoC i have ****ty PC: Single core Athlon64 3500+, 2GB RAM, nvidia 9600GT 512, and i can join 100vs100 battles in Darkfall without my PC dieing for example... My PC can't handle AoC at all and i do not plan to upgrade my PC at least 1 more year... where do you think my monthly subscriptions are going? and a lot of WoW players are playing on notebooks with intel graphics without problems... that notebooks can't handle AoC aswell... playing MMOs and PC games on notebooks is becoming more common nowadays... If you don't optimise your game to be playable on notebooks with shared GPUs, you will lose lot of subscribers... here is an example how on recommended system specs for MMO that wants to get big slice of subscription pie http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2009/04...equirements.ars
  22. If it will have same high demands for the PCs as AoC, I see it as succesful as AoC
