  1. Did you miss how Kotick already kicked one of their golden egg laying goose already? *hint hint Infinity Ward hint hint* and forcing RealID up our asses is the first step on the way to suffocate another goose
  2. You know that iTunes sells non-DRMed stuff which can be obtained by any other legal means??? I am yet to see games that require Steamworks authentification, to be available by any other legal means... And this could be looked at as undermining the competition in Digital Distribution market
  3. We'll see how long that will last under the Kotick influence
  4. I am predicting an anti-monopoly action on behalf of EU soon
  5. Interesting, how you can say that innovating starcraft2 would be new IP, and when people were disapointed about new face/innovation of XCOM you were defending the chang of IP... How do you judge what is good to innovate and what is not? Or you just write random non-sense based on who do you want to piss off?
  6. i meant the first 3rd edition D&D CRPG, which was the ruins of myth drannor
  7. Yeah, that's promising for sure. Still better than remake of ...Pools of Radiance...Pools of Radiance...Pools of Radiance So you are now dissing 1988 classics here, seminal RPGs? Or the sad Pool of Radiance 2: Ruins of Myth Drannor? I am confused, as the title of neither is in plural, so I have to assume that you are referring to both. In which case I'll have to call "heretic". i bolded you the keyword i hope it clears the case
  8. Yeah, that's promising for sure. Still better than remake of ...Pools of Radiance...Pools of Radiance...Pools of Radiance
  9. Started to play League of Legends for the first time... Training with Nunu atm... But for whatever reason, i'll always get the suckier people in my team
  10. That's why i am laughing at everyone who is whining how evil is China, without realizing that 1984 is slowly overtaking the "free" world... there were even some of former GDR (German Democratic Republic) high-ups in few documentaries, who had few words to tell, that the spying on citizens during late GDR era was a joke compared to current status of tracking on state level in "democratic" countries of anything you do with electronic communications...
  11. Crazy people... Allowing to spy on them, because it's convenient? lol... and they are crying loud how communism is depriving another people of their human rights...
  12. While I agree that the analogy is flawed, I don't agree with the reason. Ease of copy would have it's effect on pricing, not second hand sales. It's flawed because the car industry already has a functional alternate revenue stream that doesn't care if a car is sold or resold - spare parts. From what I understand, their profit margin there is significantly higher than on a new car. I suppose this is what DLC is trying to mimic, but as it's still in it's infancy, it's nowhere there yet. That being said, the reasoning in that article was awful. Second hand sales is what keeps specialized game stores afloat and without them I think first hand sales would lower dramatically. Not to mention all those who turn in a game in order to buy a new one. As you said spare parts could be very easily compared in that analogy to DLCs
  13. Finnished God of War: Chains of Olympus... seriously dissapointed about the length of the game
  14. they are hurting them, as much, as the seconds hand sale of used cars is hurting car industry... it creates more new car sales... fighting this is the most stupid and ridiculous idea ever...
  15. Bioshock did that and probably quite a few other Online Securom using games. @ all the hate. There is nothing wrong with the idea itself. If you don't see anything wrong with the idea of buying game for 50EUR and then paying another 10EUR for final boss fight, so just you could finnish the game, then i say, there is something wrong with you I was speaking of the model where you get the first part for free or for ~$10 and then pay another 10 for another part and get about the same value out of them at $50 as you would a normal $50 game. All that changes in this case is the initial investment. As for paying for demos, we hardly ever get demos any more. The model you describe would be a ye olde "screw the second hand market" trick, if the cost comes out the same in the end, it doesn't really matter other than being slightly less convenient. I am not affraid to bet my ass, that this move is again more about ****ing 2ndhand sales customer rights in the ass, than about piracy...

  17. Or what about using already established way of distributing incomplete software? You get part of it for free, and if you like you buy the cut-off content... Shareware worked great for id Software and Apogee...
  18. LOL... Did they not learned anything from Toyota, which definately sold unfinnished cars???
  19. Red Dead Redemption team axed... http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2010/07...n-team-axed.ars
  20. No JRPG bashing in interview this time? I am seriously disapointed!!!
  21. Little Big Planet, Mod Nation Racer and Unreal Tournament 3 would like to say something different about modding on consoles...
  22. Thanks for cheering me up in this crappy hot morning
  23. WRPG dev finally seeing potential in portable platforms, this is only overdue by about... six years. edit: that sonic game/thing doesn't count. But they are still missing the point, that handhelds are not just for the kids... I bet this will spawn ****loads of ESRB rating 3 ubercrap games... and maybe in another 6 years they will finaly figure out the true potential of this platform...
