The only real problem with this definition is that some people always "know" for a fact that it's in fact the game that's broken. +1 But yes Morgoth gave very good explanation and a perfect example of a challenging game Demon's Soul Black Edition will be soon comming to my humble PS3, and i already can't wait to get finaly humiliated by a computer game \o/

I play only on hardest difficulty... the only game in last 10 years that i was unable to finnish without trouble on 1st playthrough was The Witcher... The difference between challenging and frustrating is mostly the AI... (let's take FPS as an example) if the hardest difficulty is made the way, that your opponenst instakill you with headshot before you notice him, it's failed frustrating AI... If the hardest difficulty is made the way like it was in Doom 3, it's challenging... Yes i know that Doom 3 was for most people sucky game, because they had to use flashlight - lol at them - but the AI of monsters was one of the best i've ever seen in a game, and i realy hope, they will use the same or enhanced for Rage...

Why do you think most games nowadays suck so much? They are made accessible even for average lobotomized monkeys with brain damage... Same is it with other products, they want to sell as much as possible, so they are lowering the "complexity" of everything, up to the point that it becomes annoying for most of the normal users

Just finnished another FFVII playthrough and starting Dirge of Cerberus... I got my hands on Distant Worlds as well... This game is pure awesomness

I've just seen the E3 trailer of the X-COM... It was like one of the most boring trailers i've ever seen... Man... Some people commented on it, that better name for the game would be BP - The Oil Shooter, and i fully agree with that statement...
