@Rosbjerg I'm pretty sure that we (Denmark) have both a lower crime rate and a lower rate of crimes with weapons. It is a bit of a jump to state that this is because of weapons being illegal (you only attributed the latter to weapons being illegal but doing so with both is wrong unless specific evidence is shown). I would personally point a finger at our better education system, our lower rate of poor people, our better ability to take care of the mentally ill and our better after-school programs for the youth related violence. Stuff that I believe is universally recognized as helping prevent crime.

The problem here is that guns and knives are used with the intention of causing harm quite unlike children with scissors. Would you argue that simply holding a gun causes you to commit a crime? If not then guns are just tools. I don't think this is true since it isn't the difference that creates crime but rather there being an actual poor segment of society. Walsingham is surprisingly correct in his OP.

Why? Seems like a strange choice for most people with proficiency in English to make. I love how you totally ignored his wish for people responding to expound on their choices. I'll participate in this consensual interrogation later.

I've been out of the loop for awhile

Company of Heroes. It has, as I mentioned in another thread, the best RTS mechanics to date. DoW, as Xard mentioned, is very good and awesome, but obsolete since CoH is essentially DoW 2.0 minus the awesome universe. Here are some games that you might like from the list of games that I've been keeping an eye on: Universe at War: Earth Assault Europa Universalis: Rome Command & conquer 3 Culpa Innata Future games that you might like: Spore (you probably know about it but is very close to coming out) September 7, 2008 with the Creature creator seperately in June 17 Left 4 Dead (awesome Co-Op shooter from Valve) November 14 2008 Far Cry 2 October, 2008 Fallout 3 Q4 2008 -
The poll is bull since all it really shows is that people like the characters that has a lot of dialogue. 1 And that people are crappy enough not to like Go-To or Bao-Dur properly. 1Why are there no good shrug smileys on the internet? @Sand I got a little turned off when she describe procreation as getting into the deepest recesses of my mind or something equaly freaky. Personally I think she is just scared of the huge member that my female Shepard doesn't have.

Now I'll freely admit that the biggest reason for why I'm desperately sexxxing up Liara is that I want to avoid ending up in bed with Kaidan. I'd never in a million years talk of Atton rand(y) as better though, worst Obsidian character ever. I guess that could be because I missed some dialogue somewhere (the most likely reason for why so many males find Carth whiny) but I like to think of him as just plain sucky, because then I won't have to go back to KOTOR 2 and see if I'm right or wrong.

Good choice. Meer is horrible as a renegade. I've already mentioned it in another thread but I'm playing female. I'm not even sure that I'll ever play as a male as Meer is just so horrible.
-
Canderous with a twist member Or rather people think so because of Carth. I've never made the connection before (Carth = Whiny) so I don't make it now. Edit: What I'm trying to say is that Carth was whiny and it has affected peoples view of the voice-actor's voice.

Did they not try that unsuccessfully in Civ III?

You can choose her character in ME.

I always took her because Hale and Cummings are a pretty awesome voice acting duo. Tigranes remind me of a thief who knows and acknowledges that stealing is wrong and still do it. Crap. I didn't know Naomi Hunter (and Emma Emmerich) was Dynaheir. Now I might have to start liking her. Edit: Double Crap, she's also Mazzy. The Halfling. I hate Halflings. I see that you are a gentleman of good taste. The primary worth in Dyn and Mazzy is that good voice acting can make any character worthwhile. Hell, Hale is the reason why I started with a female shepard in Mass Effect. Meer shouldn't even be allowed to voice crappy commercials.

Trolls can also be Democrats, just look at Hillary.

How did you get into the gaming industry?
Moatilliatta replied to jlf2n's topic in Developers' Corner
This part isn't true When there is something strange in your neighbourhood... Obsidian should do a Ghostbusters RPG. -
And we can all agree that Tigranes example shows that that was wildly succesfull. It would have needed more development if that was what Bioware tried to achieve.
-
That sorta makes sense I must admit that I wouldn't recommend Vista to anyone below 2GB of ram, since while it doesn't actually use that much, it still becomes sluggish.

FIFE - a next generation Fallout-like engine
Moatilliatta replied to mvBarracuda's topic in Computer and Console
You should, if nothing else just for the character creator, as it is quite unique. The rest is mostly similar to Daggerfall except in medieval germany and the bad design decisions and general age show through quite clearly, but the character creation and system should be interesting to anyone with an interest in games. -
I'm pretty sure that I completed it like that at some point without any speciel patches. Tried googling the problem?

a configuration working for some years
Moatilliatta replied to Jorian Drake's topic in Skeeter's Junkyard
I would probably opt for more than 2 GB of ram since it is cheap and quite a lot of it is required nowadays. Subforum. And he is a character in Fallout 2 if I remember correctly. -
Regional/Home based difficulties or does the EA store suck more than I'm capable of imagining?
-
My biggest problem with Crysis was that the Koreans wouldn't speak Korean unless I was on the highest difficulty, which is bull**** as I like my game hard not impossible. I wanted my enemies to talk gibberish.

I'll Effect your Mass in a minute. I've waited the entire day to use that one.

I agree that WW2 is quite boring, but Relic seriously makes everything better. It achieves some really good voiceacting and some quite good writing of the soldiers: "Ah the great persuader!" (Obtaining a flamethrower) "A little hose, Some gas and a lighter and BOOM!" "Jesus, Conrad, tie your ****in' laces!" "Open up and say AH you Kraut bastard!" (While throwing a grenade at an enemy) CoH does make the killing of Nazis fun again. Also many of these quotes don't reach full effect unless it is in the game. If nothing else buy it for the awesome cover system, it makes using actual movement and tactics worthwhile. I got it for 20$, that can't be too expensive. Then you're doing it wrong as tanks should never be your only possible answer.
