With 10 different polling companies doing 10 different sets of questions with 10 different points on random 1000 people representing a million people from atleast 10 different backgrounds, cultures, religions and languages, then you can expect polls to fluctuate a bit. I like this one.

Crafting isn't as simple as that. The crafting in NWN2 sucked because it wasn't supported by the interface and as such was more frustrating than anything. An example of an interface that supports crafting is Oblivion whose specific inventory and interface mechanics should be the minimum of support. Besides interface streamlining there is the question of balance, this is possibly the hardest one with any kind of extensive crafting. Crafting needs to be usefull in some capacity compared to other skill choices while not being overpowered. Interestingly I can't remember a single game where crafting wasn't either under/overpowered or badly supported bordering on the annoying.

Is there anything to discuss except for opinions on Bio games? The only recently released video as far as I remember is this one and that's just forgettable gameplay. Try and read the Bio board threads on religion in TheDAS, I believe that has part in creating the grittyness. @The freedom thing: Where has this been mentioned? I do remember DG mentioning that there a no sidequests at all. Which is good since the critical path needs to be more than 6 hours long.

We also know that, had Nazi Germany not existed, female commandos would have been used to infiltrate large bases using only dualwielded pistols and C4! Red Alert was a very serious game for very serious people.

Man that Tim Curry sure does suck. I don't really have a problem with the male cast (except Tim Curry as he sucks) except that important men are apparently older than the solar system.

I do wonder why Tanya has become progressively more blond throughout each iteration. Is there perhaps a plot importance or something?

So you didn't like the Dark Crusade/Soulstorm model? I didn't like them either as they tend to break down quite fast and become unfun and tedious. I do like the idea of non-linearity as it makes the campaign more meaningful to me through player choice. The ideal campaign, in my opinion, would be a shorter but non-linear normal campaign as most RTS campaigns get boring towards the last half. I want to shoot myself for admitting that shorter == better.

Or just early dev talk. The campaign is still coop though. Just so that's clear.

I think they mentioned only having a Space Marine campaign in a preview somewhere. Could be just crazy developer talk but I think they've scrapped the multiple campaings thing. Edit: Epic! I've just found this incredibly radical and innovative technique called reading the articles! Crazy developer talk. I think it means they've only have a SM campaing. Wikipedia seems to agree with me.

You'd best star posting about how awesome/not awesome it is. Quick! It doesn't run very well on a 1.7Ghz P4 with 768MB of ram and a Radeon 9600 Pro. More detailed information to follow next week. Did we ever get anywhere with this? Also I'm playing GTA 4 on the failbox, I'm pretty sure that I can say that it is the weakest of the 3d ones.

I dunno. We're only gonna get a Space Marines campaign and I can't stop thinking how awesome a Tyranid campaign would be. Mission Goal: Eat everything!

@Cute pie I think your problem is that you have your own definition of romance and since men don't share that definition they don't like romance. Have you ever considered that people can be romantic without necessarily conforming to your definition? I think they can. Bothering with the story is the best way to ruin the game as the supporting game mechanics are pretty atrocious.

Still offtopic: Speer was a nazi and while he claimed to not know about the concentration camps etc. I'm gonna say that he probably did or at best pretended that they didn't exist while knowing. Seen this Xard? I'm assuming that not knowing about the concentration camps is what you refer to. Claims that he wasn't a Nazi is either romanticism or relying on mostly irrelevant technicalities. The best thing to say about Speer is that he expressed remorse, which is quite a lot better than most people are able to do.
