  1. So before even meeting Arkemyr I found the the observatory and got the notes. Then I went back to his area and stole the tablet. When I gave it to the woman in front of the palace I got summoned. Went to his study and an imp told me he is in the pool room below. Well I get there and everytime I try to talk to him it says he is deeply focused on the pool. I can't have a conversation with him. Any help?
  2. Did they fix the issue with losing trainings after a respec? Or is it intentional?
  3. I think before the recent patch there were bugs with dialogue triggers. For example, on my first playthrough they were way too quiet. Then I restarted after the patch and the very first quest (Oathbinder Sanctum) they all had something to say.
  4. So I toughed it through that area without a Paladin. It sucked but a few things worked. The Fampyrs were weak to terrify and frighten illusions. Most of the time my PC would end up 1v2 or 3 at the end but win out (Streetfighter Swashy) so a little damage here and there didn't hurt
  5. Are you talking about Paradise of the Mind? I'm lvl 14 and there about 4 or 5 lvl 15 Fampyrs who cast that Sigil spell and insta dominate on hit. Its def a bug. Did some research and a user modified his char to have 300 Will and was still getting dominated instantly. The bug has been reported. This is the only fight in the game thus far that has been a real headscratcher. Plus sven and other drugs do not stop it either.
  6. I found the beginning to be lacking in general RP versatility but it opens up. I think you should def stick w Magran
  7. We have BUGGED Fampyrs who insta dominate on hit. Thanks Obsidian haha.
  8. It's a good armor but the real prize imho is his sword.
  9. Overall really enjoying the Huana quests. This one was imho a callback to the Cult of the Eyeless in BG2 with the rod. The twist with the dragon was really cool and had me thinking for a bit. I ended up killing him because I'm a (progressive) treasure hunter What did ya'll think of the quest?
  10. Yeah I wish it was one prohibited school. That would make them more bearable. Or +2 power levels. So Transmuter is eh?
  11. Ok thanks guys. I'll create an Adventurer to test out a Transmuter. Anyone have experience with that subclass?
  12. Let me clarify- 1. Are they fun? Judging by 20 hours with Aloth they are severely hamstringed compared to their PoE1 counterparts with less spells and ineditable grimoires. 2. Are they powerful? Compared to other classes? Compared to PoE1? I don't want to start one and get 5-10 hrs in and throw it away. Any thoughts on single and multi (+sub classes) are appreciated.
  13. Black Jacket is made to be used with guns AND melee and aligns really well with a Rogue multi imho. Devoted, multis well with Rogue too, and even Wizard/Priest I would think.
  14. Thanks for the all the routes! Will def try out the bomb this time around:P
  15. I don't see any pt in a Mage Slayer in any game. Not in BG2, not here. Not being able to use potions is redic and spell resistance to the plethora of support spells is even worse. For what? Being able to interrupt the random spellcaster? You have mages and many other tools to pick from. I'm running a BJ/Streetfighter Swashy. Is he a top tier power gaming build? Probably not, but on Veteran with a full party but he is fun and effective. Wizards got straight **** on in this game. I dont understand not being able to edit Grimoires. Or such harsh penalties even for a single class. Luckily some sub classes are really powerful, like all the Druid ones. Running a Shifter now and the animal forms are nasty. And for the most part, the Rogue ones which single and multi really well. Streetfighter for example you just gotta think of him differently and check out the Blunderbuss modal. Cipher subs seem cool but man is that a boring class to play until later levels imho. Priest have cool subs but I never play em.
  16. Great stuff! I started a second playthrough with a Druid but I'm kinda missing my merc-for-hire Swashy. I love all the different quests you can get tangled up in.
  17. Sounds good TC. 11 dmg per auto attack can be better tho. My Swashbuckler was getting 16-48 depending on a crit around that level. Yes he is a Rogue but even my Druid is about 17-24 in animal forms at lvl 5. But good work a unique build and keep at it!
  18. Lifegiver is not a Shapeshifter. The game is giving you a hard penalty for doing so. But I agree that some subclasses have ridiculous downsides. The Wizards specifically. Two forbidden spell classes?! WTF. That should change from 2 to 1 for single class Wizards. Lastly I think the worst class is def...ba da boom...the Mage Slayer. No potions!?!?! Haha wtf. And spell resistance that actually affects friendly spells?! HAHA. Laughable. Plus vanilla Barbarian is clearly a better class, not to the mention the other strong sub classes.
  19. I've only tried two, a Swashbuckler and Shifter, both on Veteran. 'Buckler was strong and fit the RP well. But wanted a bit different path and heard how strong Druid + Nature Godlike is. So went with Shifter. On Veteran, starting at lvl 4, everything scale up. Shifter is...powerful. The spiritshift forms are huge and menacing. When you switch you gain health and all the forms have different abilities and perks. You get some GREAT subclass spells like Nature's Mark and Insect Swarm that work well with the playstyle and inability to cast while shifted. Lastly, with a Nature Godlike, the RP and stats are on point (level 5, 17 Res, 20 Int). What about yourselves?
  20. From playing PoE1 I got the feeling that the only people who can afford to be totally honest are killing beasts (people often don't appreciate honest answers). Basically, if you see an honest man be on your guard. I found that kind of amusing, even if it was just my impression on how things worked. Ha. Any examples salamander?
