Her innocence doesn't match her job responsibilities

The bees the BEES! Ha jk (pts for reference). Guy (and gals) - I love PoE2. I appreciate everything that Obs has done. But the lingering and resurfacing bugs... I just booted up an old save to play FS. Every time I come back to the boat I get a missive from Maia. Every time. I mean really? After all this time? And I'm encountering the super loud Drake sound at the digsite and Poko Horo, missing strings, and other anomalies. Not really sure what the pt of me venting is, but I need to do it. I want to so bad to come back to Deadfire and have a smooth experience, but there always seems to be some anomaly popping up. Maybe for the sake of constructive conversation, instead of me whining like an ignorant consumer, what is Obs up against? With the everything in the game is it easy to introduce new bugs and hard to fix small lingering ones?

You can time it so that you do the first area without rest then head *straight* to Port Maje (no stopping anywhere), then you can recruit Xoti, and hire any hirelings, then immediately leave town and that leaves you a couple hours to rest with Hylea Bounty or Captain Banquet before they spoil. Then hold onto that resting bonus as long as you can.Ah. Thx. Not a big deal now that I know - I can use it for the Drake fight - just never considered it. Good pt about maintaining the resting bonus. Does that mostly mean not getting injuries or using per rest abilities?

For me almost everything you're asking for would just become tedious busy work you have to juggle. The combat is what a lot of people are here for, with dialog and plot being a secondary concern. All that other stuff is just annoyances I don't want in the way of what I'm playing for. Well I can't fault you for playing the game differently. So I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

The #1 want for me is improved non-combat systems. Before Magran's Fires with stuff like spoiled food and repairing items, the games feels completely focused on combat, bc dialogue checks are nothing more than increasing a few passive skills. Like a pretty picture that only comes to life when you're fighting. I'd like to have better dialogue and trading systems, better crafting, better stronghold, disposition, and relationships systems. I want the world to feel challenging as a whole not just the combat.

Nemnok question
Verde replied to Danthrax's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
You get a piece of armor that has scaling bonuses based on how much your party members like or hate you: https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Hearth_Defender%27s_Scale (wiki page might be inaccurate about specific numbers, it's only been sporadically updated for the big item nerf that happened many months ago) Given that half my party tends to be hirelings or the non-fleshed-out companions like mirke or konstanten, it's not very useful to me, but I'm sure people who invest in Eder, Serafen, etc might get mileage out of it. Yeah if you use the companions it's one of the best armors in the game. It also looks awesome. -
So you weren't implying ship combat was easy with your post about boarding on Veteran difficulty? Also you're misusing the term broken. That sort of hyperbole can easily lead one to the conclusion you are frustrated and not willing to listen to critique or solutions. And based off your response I'm correct in that assumption as well.

So the ship combat is too easy on the second to hardest difficulty, and you stayed away from some of the hardest ships? I think the solutions are quite obvious - raise the difficult to PotD and/or fight these other ships. At this point it seems you're unreasonably frustrated with the game not catering to your every whim. Where, exactly, did I say the combat is too easy? Where, exactly, did I say I am frustrated? Please, explain. It is really quite difficult to discuss stuff if you take a stance on something I have never even alluded to. What I have said in this thread is that the naval combat is broken in the sense that other ships just disappear from the universe once boarded, i.e. they cannot be stolen in any way whatsoever. This is indisputable, as far as I'm concerned. You clearly and obviously implied that with the post I quoted. If not, what was the pt of it? And the tone of this entire thread is frustration. So yes, my post is 100% correct.

You loot the ship and sink it. You're not going to just leave your ship and start living on another one. That statue's head is heavy! And who knows what filth is covering the other ship. Plus do you want other factions mistaking you? I'm sure there are other imaginative reasons you can come up with it, but the best answer is - stop complaining about such trivial matters

v4.1.0 is now available on the Beta Branch
Verde replied to Cdiaz's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
I think a priority needs to be fixing the loud Drake sound at the dig site and Poko Horo. It's nearly unplayable unless you beeline it to the Drake. Of course you can just turn off the sound...but Deadfire has such great sound
