  1. Wonder what this will be ...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ZOUXbJQKmaU
  2. I recommend having a stiff drink and/or getting laid to crush that guilt. Or you could watch this so you can see them take their revenge http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2PLls02gOU
  3. and this is where that was headed ...... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnMLbIxqHUA
  4. No such luck. Cleveland won 7-2. Rangers are beating up the Blind Sisters of the Poor the Astros 7-3 thru 7.
  5. Finished watching Supernatural Season 8. A lot etter than season 7 and I sure didn't see the end of season 8 coming.
  6. Chili (very light on the onions) with some French bread on the side.
  7. Let's at least get the math right here. The cost of UHC is estimated at 1 trillion dollars (minimum) which is 1000 billion. The US defense budget is 660 billion dollars. The cost of the George Bush Carrier is ~6.2 billion dollars. You may now resume your argument about priorities with the right numbers at hand. JSFSOCC - it's also useful to look at that spending based on % of GDP and to note that China routinely underreports its military spending by 50%.. @Hurlshot - Sadly you're right. Government is just fubared beyond belief. Sorry for the sidetrack .....
  8. Pork Chops with roasted shallots, potatoes, and Brussels sprouts
  9. Could I see the equation for this? I'm too tired for geometry at the moment. Malcador has it. Let us know what he says please. If the OD-ID difference is constant, then the bore is likely fine. The only other thing I can think of would be a slight bend in the barrel. The bend would need to be (30 cm / 4752 cm) x barrel length => For a 24 inch (60.96 cm) barrel that would be 3.848 mm.
  10. If you are shooting left by 30 cm at 50 yards, that's an angle of deflection of 0.376 degrees. If the iron sights are perfectly aligned with the barrel shaft then my first guess would be that the bore is off center. I'm puzzled about the laser bore sighting though. I checked some gun forums and they all advised contacting the manufacturer with a test pattern and asking them to if they had test patterns to compare or to ask help in resolving it. You have a pic of the gun in question? PS: I can't think of any physical explanation involving the ammo that would result in that much of a miss at that range. 30 cms is a freaking foot!
  11. Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones on a REALLY REALLY bad hair day and after a couple of hundred Krispy Kreme donuts
  12. We're going to find out about the Saints in the next 3 weeks. They play Miami (3-0) at the dome followed by road trips to Chicago and New England. Before you dismiss Miami, they did just beat Atlanta (in Miami). This is just a weird season. Right now it looks like Seattle is simply head and shoulders above everyone else. Nobody else is even close.
  13. I can see the concern if that is what happened. I was viewing it from the aspect of using that information to move things off the beaten path and encourage exploration as opposed to making them all just one step off the most frequently travelled path. Guess it depends on how you see the process working.
  14. Now that you say it, there was something much like that on Portal's audio commentary. But I'm sure that was with a dedicated alpha test player, someone who knows he's being watched and someone who's not going to give up on a quest or the game. And I'm not actually advocating designing a game based on majority vote, or that whatever majority picks is the right choice. But I do think knowing what the majority (not just the majority of the vocal minority) thinks and chooses is something that could be valuable info for the developers. I remember seeing a "heat" map that showed what areas had been visited, sort of like seeing an infrared heat signature with colors from blue to red. I thought the reference was made that they had tracked multiple players thru the area. Again I might not be remembering this right. If I am, it was clear that the players had pretty much all followed the same track with a few deviations along the way. I thought it was a really ingenious way to get input back from testers. You might have a better memory on this than me. I agree about not designing by majority vote. Bad plan imho.
  15. And in that case, the howling isn't going to end anytime soon. Because, damn, those were his ****ing balls and some things just aren't easily forgotten.
  16. I might be wrong about this but I swear that one of the Bioware Videos for Dragon Age Inquisition had a segment where the designers were tracking the paths taken by various players on a specific map and plotting how frequent various places were visited. The idea was to use the information as feedback for encounter, treasure, side quest, and npc placements. Assuming I didn't just dream this up in a merlot induced stupor, I think it's a fantastic idea in general. If the thought of getting this information from game players is worrisome, then simply accumulate the information from the in-house designers. Just exclude the designer of that specific are. Acquiring the information from gamers during an alpha game test would still allow that information to be incorporated.
  17. And like most of your opinions you ignore the facts which contradict your distorted view of reality. Have a nice day.

  19. Where are you at the moment if you aren't at home kgambit? I meant it's a good thing I don't have to leave the house tomorrow to go anywhere .... Hey it was 4 am and I'm running on an empty tank with no caffeine, lucidity isn't a priority atm. LOL
  20. Meh, can't sleep ..... good thing I'm going to be home tomorrow anyway.
  21. If the information from the Al-Shabaab twitter account (before it was taken down) is to be believed: There were three Americans who were Naturalized citizens born in Somalia Also among the names listed were citizens of Canada, UK, Finland, and Kenya. 2 Somali citizens were also listed Edit: That has not been unconfirmed but it wouldn't surprise me radicalized Americans of Somali descent have been a problem for a while
  22. 38 - 0 so far and I don't think the blood-letting is over yet. Edit: Looks like Carolina took their foot of the Giants throat. Damn that was ugly.
  23. Given the way the inventory has been described, I prefer having it fully defined and available from the start. The bag of holding explanation is just a nice conceptual way to explain how it works the way it does,
  24. What the heck is wrong with the Giants? 66 net yards total offense thru three quarters against Carolina?
