  1. They're pretty cool, but nothing vital to the success of the game. The elven armor for the horse looks really sweet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Where's this stuff at? I don't see a word about it at the Elder Scrolls site.
  2. You're kidding...right?
  3. I absolutely hated the handling of combat...felt way too sluggish and just......god I hated it.
  4. I love Family Guy. You take that back, meanie!
  5. First I've heard of it...and I recall Groening saying that he'd only make a movie if the ratings went in the toilet. I think that says something about the current state of the show.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_u0uVAeDws...hp%3Fvid%3D1806 The hell? Ratings must be slipping...pretty badly.
  7. Just found this on the official forums...it's a FAQ full of performance and visual tweaks for a huge variety of things. There's even a way to get your face into the game......through a third party program...and it wont be VERY accurate, but still pretty close.
  8. Waaay old, but if you want FPS, go into the console with tilde and type tdt then hit enter. I think that does it.
  9. He was being quoted...it's just the wrong person in the quote box for some reason. Look at his post before the last.
  10. Yeah, but all the stuff you use you find in boxes or in the shops... Apparently not... (did visit town though) Yup. You explained stuff like "Elven stuff drops from lvl 15 and not before" and were incorrect. Please try again! Oh, and you can "explain" the sytem, but if the system does not listen; or is strangely mutated... that doesn't really help. How many times you repeat "enemies should drop Dwarven stuff" I don't get Dwarvenstuff from that in my game of Oblivion... PS. Just looked at some old screens I made when playing Oblivion and it seems I had those Dwarven boots already at lvl 6/7... (only piece of Dwemer I found though... even when meeting 2 bandit-riddled ruins after the town, where I had 2 or 3 levelups already...) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Some items are set. Some NPCs have a certain type of armor, regardless of your level ( ) and others, like bandits and lesser side quest related NPCs, do change their equipment once you hit 10. Admittedly, it's not really really common. I still run into fur wearing bandits from time to time out on the roads, but for the most part, they're in Mithril or a combination of Mithril, Chain, Leather, and Fur. (I'm level 12) I haven't had a problem, with three different characters, locating both Mithril and Dwemer items after passing 10 and even a bit before that. Hell, just doing quests gives you better items, if only because the bad guys you're killing are wearing it. And I think I'm about to die...tornado watch and all...and the squall line...and...and...mommy. :'(
  11. Probably been said before, but when you do get a card, make sure it's a Geforce 6xxx or above and don't bother with an ATI card below the new X1xxx line as they don't have shader 3.0, which is what all the new games are capitalizing on. And, if at all possible, think about getting a good-for-the-price motherboard with a PCI-E slot, then purchase a card accordingly. Best to save up and buy the motherboard first, then save up again and get the best card you can reasonably afford. These latest cards should last you a couple years or more so why not?
  12. Lyr.......That was one of the most disturbing, yet somehow alluring, things I've ever read in my entire life. I don't know where the urge to write, or do, all of that came from, but for your sake, keep it within the walls of your home. Acting like that outside tends to draw the attention of armed uniformed men with clubs and firearms, and then later, people in white coats who introduce you to straight jackets and the wonders of a padded room. Creative though, and I couldn't help but laugh at it......morbidly, of course.
  13. In regards to the vampire hunter...do you guys already have the quest associated with him? Or are you just curious? I've beaten it already, so if you need any help, just ask.
  14. Went from confusion, to hope, to "God I hate you Blizzard", to April 1st, to "God damn people playing with my Starcraft related emotions".
  15. In order to have a crime, you'd need a law to say that it, whatever "it" is, is a crime. So, simply put, no laws, no crimes.
  16. Sorry for the DP, but can somebody tell me how much further I have to go in the Main quest? I just finished the quests.
  17. Makes sense, actually. Vampirism is a curse you know and the "beast" aspect of it is only kept at bay by feeding...so, wouldn't a more powerful vampire, (physically) be less keen on drinking, since they've gone further down the vampiric road? Well...Makes sense to me anyway.
  18. Smacking them upside their armored head might work.
  19. Something to think about at least....not as a full-time career, mind you, but as an extra influx of cash and fun to do. Always been told I have a distinct (In a good way) voice. "
  20. Comes down to preference and overall quality.
  21. Yes. That blocky crap doesn't hold a candle to the beautiful pre-rendered scenery in the IWDs. This coming from a graphics whore.
  22. Am I the only one who thinks the dialogue isn't that bad? I've seen much worse than what Oblivion has to offer...though every now and then I see a line that just makes me cringe. On the whole, I find it to be pretty decent...
