I imagine it's in the same manner that your average computer programmer knows lots about maths, computers and networks like the back of his hand: he likes what he does, and/or he did a degree in it or worked in that field for many years. If I'm not mistaken Enoch is a public servant, so he'd be dealing with things like tax, law, politics, foreign relations, economics on a daily basis and these are also likely areas that interest him in his idle time. Not to belittle his intelligence, just that he is probably very active in the areas he draws his knowledge from. Not to belittle your intelligence but you're wrong, there must be a logical explanation behind this. My theories are some sort of magic and/or tomfoolery, in which case we are all ****** because a monkey's paw revenge is like the scorn of a wild mountain cat that has tasted flesh and comes upon you in the night while your in your sleeping bag, asleep, defenseless, and likely with an erection. btw thanks for starting this thread krezack, I too made a post somewhat similar to this many moons ago however from what I recall I got pretty crappy responses and ended up going into the market, scared and alone. However, I did come out of it relatively unscathed, at least financially that is. I'm pretty sure in the future I will stick to just simple ETF's, mutual funds and, if I can get my hands on some, bonds. I kind of like the idea of getting a little check in the mail semiannually for not doing a whole lot. Also if you do happen to invest in market and come out with a net loss (capital losses are greater than capital gains), you can deduct up to $3,000 annually of capital loss from ordinary income and any excess can be carried into the next tax year where again you can deduct up to $3,000. Just a friendly neighborhood tip from your local tax accountant in training slug. Though really I doubt I will go into tax. It's pretty hardcore stuff.

You know I've been meaning to ask this question for a long time but how are you so smart enoch? Where do I acquire these vast knowledges from?

First one but deep down I know I'm not clever.

Yeah your cousin is a serious psycho. One does not simply devolve into fits of glee at the prospect of mutilating an extended family of gophers after 15 minutes especially when your first instinct was to vomit in remorse. Either way it sounds like some parts of the story are missing. Not that I care, the entire premise of this "argument" is insane but this drive for you to delete this stuff and then write her a personal message is where I'm getting lost. Most people are non confrontational, so why was there a need to take this to the next level, why the effort? From what I gather you are a smart dude Alan so there must have been a reason for you being insecure/incensed enough to pm her and go through with this retarded charade. I think most people would have saw her initial post, said out loud or in their head, wow this broad is one serious idiot, and then never thought about it again or in my case constantly think about it but never actually respond. People don't usually get that last one which is why people are idiots. You don't always have to say something, in fact it's better you never say anything because you can never be a moron unless you open your mouth. Edit: btw i know how ridiculous this notion sounds coming from me since the majority of my posts are completely negligent of thought but I really mean this in the context of various audiences that matter such as friends, family, coworkers, etc. There are too many people that you can waste your time on with no fruit to show for it. They will continue being an idiot and holding onto some crazy ideal and you will be an idiot trying to persuade them. Just cut your losses and become a mute, just like me .

Got bored and didn't want to study for marketing exam so I opened up CoD4 which I haven't played in like a gazillion years. Wasn't as good as I remember it being but I think that's just becuase there was a time when I played a sickening amount of cod and halo 3 non stop and I can never play another FPS again. Also there was only like 5 games going and only 2 of which I could join. I'm still bored and don't know what to do. :'(

Have to agree with gd. Essentially you've already missed the boat bro and by a long shot. The American market (and gold) are so overvalued right now that you wouldn't be able to make any meaningful money unless you happen to be a hedge fund manager with a few billion at your disposal. But that's really how the system is set up, you can only make money in the market if you have a ton of it available. If you can't put forth more than 50k you might as well not even do it becuase you'll just be making chump change, not to mention if you actually have an income there's tax consequences. Two of my particular stocks went up like $5+ which is huge and I still only came out of it with like $400 over the course of 2 months. There's a lot of money to make out there but for the little guy you're lucky if you can find scraps, you're just not even in the same game as these guys and you can't win. Edit: btw when I say you shouldn't even try I mean playing the stock market, if you have a large sum of money lying around you should do something with it even if its a crummy CD.

Yeah, I demand we change the title to Dragon [R]age. I don't even know why I read this thread anymore becuase 90% of this and last has been a constant source of complete irrelevant nothing-arguments.

Well today was a mix of relative goodness to slightly less goodness. Got my exam from acc 401 and got a 64 which honestly isn't too bad since I only had 1 day to study (which I didn't utilize well) and I messed up on some stupid stuff which just happened to be worth a ton of points. In the grand scheme of the class I can easily recover the points in other exams and what nots and I will likely get a B in the class if I can power through the next exam with plenty of study time. I also got my exam back in tax and got a 66 which I know sounds bad but is actually right in line and slightly above the average of not just our class but all the tax classes under different professors. He ended up curving it and giving everyone 10% so a mid level C I am pretty proud of. My two "friends" in the class did pretty well (80 for the guy and 88 for the girl) but really those numbers equate to like 2 and 6 correct multiple choice questions. The girl who got the 88 thanked me since all her studying was done with me and I think she said she owed me lunch, which would be awesome except she has a boyfriend, however, he just cheated on her, which again would be awesome but sorry ladies, you're usually pretty bad when it comes to scum bags and giving them second/infinite chances. But w/e I'll just go back to being bitter, miserable and alone. I think it's better that way for everyone, makes things less complicated.

Insurance and employment being based on credit rating seems disturbing. Yeah I have a debit card as well but I never use it except when I make large purchases like books and the rare sushi outing. As for the credit ratings influencing employment and what not obviously you can get into a real viscous cycle but it seems like a reasonable measure to me. Someone who is unable to control their finances is generally irresponsible, likely uneducated (or over educated), and has a proven track record of financial instability. All in all a relatively decent indicator imo. Edit: though of course you have plenty of people who get into debt because of bad luck but still mostly due to irresponsible spending and risk.

I've been a cash basis for a long time and will continue to be until I actually have to live on my own. You shouldn't spend money that you don't have, however, studying to be an accountant teaches you that debt can be an extremely convenient and necessary thing whether your a business or just your average Joe. Doesn't really cost you anything to keep a credit card around anyways unless you got a balance, so there's no real harm to it.

Did anyone else think she didn't get it? I myself didn't notice they were spelling out words until like half way through.

Sooooo...did you like have sex or anything because if you didn't you can't just post other people's what they did todays unless they were mauled by a swordfish or something else mildly interesting.

This has like already been done by a youngster the same age. I was listening to Jim Rome in the morning a couple months ago and some 16 year old American, I believe, sailed around the world unassisted however his story was cool because there were real life pirates in it and his communications and gps went out but in the end he came out of it fine and won life, so this chick is probably like only a couple of months younger which isn't really all that deserving of the "youngest in the world title" but still a pretty cool feat, I suppose, but then again its like touching down on the moon after 50 other people have. But the reason that I remember the story is because I loved the parents attitude about it becuase all these news types and retard people were like well its obviously too dangerous for the boy but they were like you know what the kid knows what hes doing and its our job to support him and let him realize his dreams and happily ever after the end. edit: nvm it actually mentions the guy in the article, whoops

Oblivion was the best rpg of the decade up to that point. Now DA will over take that position. Then when mass effect 2 comes out 2 months later it will take over that title and the cycle will continue never ending, at least until pc gaming has died in 4 years and pokemans: magenta 7 rainbow friends is all that is left of the rpg genre.

If you've played an mmo you will know what to expect or just think kotor but a hell of a lot better. Someone already posted a video that showed a ton of combat. It looks fine as does all the other mechanics shown.

For some reason my computer has been putting off an insane amount of heat for the last week or so. My room feels like it is an entire 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house and its so hot I'm sweating just sitting here. I opened it up and got a couple of dust explosions but I don't think that was the real culprit. I'm also super bored and already watched the majority of my saved tv shows of the week. I need dragon age and then the world will make sense again. :'(

I wouldn't recommend buying a house that has been gutted. It's just way too much work, time and money. Not to mention finding a good contractor is virtually impossible since they just don't exist out in the wilds of society. Doesn't matter if they are licensed or if they are through a reputable company, they will inevitably screw up and/or do shoddy work becuase that is just the nature of contractors and the type of people that go into that line of work. That's not meant to be offensive by the way. It's just a gross generalization that happens to be truth in most instances.

Protein after a workout is essential since your body is in a state that increases protein absorption exponentially which leads to faster and stronger healing of the muscles. A protein shake is the easiest and most convenient form of protein; a meal that you've premade at home is fine as long as it is high in lean protein but time is a crucial element since your "superhuman protein state" doesn't last all that long. Ideally you want your protein during your workout but you have up to an hour afterwards.

Yeah it seemed like a relatively novel idea at first but then I realized the people behind would die from dehydration within a few days.

I thought I was the only one completely perplexed by the ridiculously moronic and empty "issues" being argued. The one that got me was something about having to have party members (even though you don't have to take them along and you are only forced to keep 1) or something like that. I equated it to a person saying madden was horse s because you couldn't solo a team with just your quarterback. Then my mind went numb from all the senselessness.

This class is two exams, 35% each, and a project. And the final is cumulative. I also have an exam on Thursday which I will spend all of Wednesday studying for. Then I will have a 7 day reprieve and then another exam with another the following week. This semester is aweeeeeesome.

I had to look up what a lorry was but I'm pretty sure a raptor would use its incredible agility to jump on the hood of the semi and then proceed to kick the window through and murder the driver in a crazy dinosaur rage the likes of which no man has witnessed in millennia. Tomorrow is the day of reckoning; my tax exam. For this one test I've studied more then the accumulation of entire semesters worth of exams. But alas it is incomplete. I have one chapter left to do practice problems for and then I have to make my cheat sheet which our professor so graciously allows. At first I was scared out of my mind but through sheer force of will and wanting to be prepared for study sessions so that I can appear to be smart and better my chances of getting laid, I have finally reached the point that I'm relatively confident that I will get a C or better.

She looks quite similar to Sasha Grey imo. Which makes sense given the nature of the character, she is a real one of a kind whore. But I like that kind of enduring quality.
