I watched Saving Private Ryan today which is in the neighborhood of like 11 years old. Can't believe I was 10 when I first saw the movie but its still an incredible watch after a decade which doesn't happen very often in movies unfortunately. There were some scenes and various parts of the story that were kind of lame but when you put it all together its awesome. Its actually refreshing because its like a "feel good to be American" movie. Plus lots of kraut killing which is always good. Can't never trust them ever again which is why I subscribe to the Carolla philosophy in which we just carpet bomb Germany at random intervals to keep them in line.

Sorry about your loss Wals. You know you always have a friend in me if you ever want to talk but then again I don't exactly have any sage advice or anything of the nature. And especially since I haven't shaken my 5 year long depression, though I'm actually starting to open up to the idea of getting a handle on that becuase I think its truly starting to profoundly effect my brain. Research shows that long term depression can cause the hippocampus to shrink which leads to memory issues and I definitely got some of that more than the norm. Plus headaches and various other things which are horrible. The being miserable and lonely part is fine by me but once my brain composition changes that ain't cool. In other news I had two classes today however they are both consecutive and during traditional lunch time hours so I'm super ravenous right now. I just ate a rice bowl and a deep dish pizza and I'm still ready to chow down. I also go back later tonight for a delightful 7-10 class. I think this semester should go a bit more smoothly than last. I don't have any online classes which is new for me but I'm relatively fond of my current schedule and so far my teachers seem cool. It's nice becuase I have one of my group members from a previous accounting class that is taking like everything I'm taking, tho only 1 class that we are both in together during the same time. The only thing I dread is marketing which is on Friday. I'm an accountant, I don't need to know about top of mind and stupid ad stuff, f those guyses.

Yeah in the begining I wasn't very interested in Dragon Age, in fact I was a bit angry that Bioware would do a title like this but as time went on I became luke warm about it and eventually my interest was peaked enough to where I began following this thread. And I have to say that in the last week or so Maria has inspired me to the point that I'm already trying to speculate how school will play out and I'm currently in the planning stages of an intense Thanksgiving play through. So much dragon age and so many turkey sandwiches with stuffing and omg. I can only imagine what wonder will await me.

Wall-E I liked it but then again has Pixar ever made a bad movie? I mean sure they are mostly for children and lack a great deal of complexity and insight but I think you can appreciate the story and comedy no matter what age you are. It was cute and obviously aesthetically it doesn't any better.

Gran Torino Sucked, badly. Completely absurd that people thought this was actually good. There's better acting in a 4th grade musical.

There can only be one cat inspired poster on this board and that is me. Lady Crimson doesn't count because she's a girl. And she hasn't been posting that much recently.

some aerosmith song that plays when bruce willis dies saving humanity from destruction by blowing up a rogue asteroid with nuclear weapons powerful stuff

Yeah not to mention when you finish the test your likely never going to use the stuff ever again amirite enoch? Who needs logic puzzles when you'll just be doing tort law and cat reform. I'm hungry but we have nothing to eat. I'm also bored. My friends that I play HoN with set out for blizzcon today. Luckily they will get lots of pictures and a more personal view of all the games I'm looking forward to. They also get beta keys for sc2 which means I will have assured play time even if their friend in blizzard can't get me one.

North Korea: Great Country, or Greatest Country?
theslug replied to lord of flies's topic in Way Off-Topic
Didn't read more than a few lines and my history is shaky and near non existent but if North Korea didn't start the war how exactly were they able to mobilize and completely consume South Korea in such a short amount of time. If South Korea planned an invasion and started it I doubt they'd get slaughtered all that quick. But then again I know virtually nothing on the subject and mostly you make horrible threads/posts and just wanted to say something that challenged you. -
If Mass Effect taught me anything it's that you don't want to be a mankind supremacist. Because then you miss out on having sweet passionate nailing sessions with blue humanoid tentacle haired alien chicks. They also have boobs so it's completely natural.

The parmesan sauce I made was both quick and ridiculously easy. It's goes a little something like this: # 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil or enough to generously coat your saute pan # 2/3 medium onion, chopped # 2-3 garlic cloves, minced # 2 bay leaves # 1/2 bunch fresh basil leaves - should be a generous amount it is delicious # 1 (28-ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes Coat a saute pan with olive oil and place over medium heat. When the oil gets hazy, add the onions. When the onions have softened add garlic, and bay leaves; cook and stir until aromatic (should be only a brief time you do not want garlic to brown). Add chopped basil and tomatoes (use a wooden stirring device to crudely chop up tomatoes into bite sized pieces), cook and stir until the liquid is cooked down and the sauce is thick, about 15 minutes; season and taste with sugar, salt and pepper. An extremely simple yet delicious sauce and as always with tomato sauces if you can let it sit for even an hour or two you should; overnight is far superior. The only thing I could think of to make it better would be to add Italian sausage and meatballs. Serves 3-4. Anymore than that and you should add another can of tomatoes and increase everything else accordingly. As for the chicken portion it's quite simple. Butterfly chicken then flour, then egg wash, then seasoned bread crumbs. I like to do this an hour or two before cooking and then letting them chill out in the refrigerator becuase it lets everything come together and it sticks better. Then just put enough canola oil to generously coat your saute pan and fry away on each side for about 2 minutes or until deliciously crisp and brown. Let cool and drain on a slotted rack. When rested lay in baking dish. Ladle sauce over chicken, sprinkle with a relatively light layer of parmesan cheese and then load on a bunch of shredded mozzerella. Slide into oven and broil until cheese has taken on a delicious golden brown hue. Let rest, then consume with brocolli and pasta-roni white shells and cheddar. Also have boxed wine and lit candles. Then have sex with your wife, secretary, girlfriend, girl who works at the meat counter, etc. The End. P.S. - pm divx

Mr. Brooks Interesting film. I always enjoy serial killer type movies and tv series, especially when they are Dexter quality. The movie didn't really put forth anything crazy new or exceptionally awesome but it was certainly solid in my opinion. The ending was somewhat unfulfilling but more than anything there was a scene at the very end that just didn't quite fit with the movie in my opinion especially since we already got the inference like 45 minutes prior. Besides that I liked it and Dane Cook didn't suck. Somewhere abouts a 7.8/10

Could have sworn there was a recipe thread or something just recently started but I can't find it. Either way I made chicken parmesan that was really really good. In fact with a little tweaking (fresh basil, more resting time for sauce and not eaten right out of the oven) it could have been truly marvelous. I think I'm really starting to get a knack for this. Only wish accounting could go that smoothly. New semester starts in like 6 days however all my classes are in the same building which is semi conveniently located no where near a parking lot. Means I don't have to shell out 100+ for a parking sticker but it does mean I have to park in the ghetto which is sometimes scary but luckily there's a police sub station type thing so it's fairly certain I won't get stabbed or my vehicle stolen. Happy to start but at the same time sad. It'll give me something to do and put me in a much needed new state of mind as well as putting an end to much of my boredom but I like staying at home and lounging around eating foods and watching tv and surfing the net and playing video games all day. Such a tragic life I lead. :'(

You guys let me down, especially you hurlshot. You're one of the last people I thought would fall for such underhanded tactics as the sleeping with older obese women routine that is replayed 35 times throughout the movie or the endless references to his groin or even the middle eastern stereotypes that are replayed over and over again. Yes I get it, Israeli people own electronic shops and they are all terrorists. There was nothing new or remotely funny about the movie and replaying the same jokes over and over again didn't help it's cause. I may have grinned or even laughed a few times in response to some garbled Israeli engrish of calling someone a homosexual and although Chris Rock's accent was totally and utterly retarded and holding back his laughter the part where his family was chopped to pieces brought a smile to my face. How dare you guys. You don't know real comedy until you've listened to Carolla Era Loveline.

Don't mess with the Zohan Horrible.

My mom got a new cat. We set it down in front of our old cat and the first 3 seconds looked promising but ultimately ended in hissing. Looks exactly like our older old cat that recently died. Was bored all day.

Does Leverage get good taks? Because I watched like the first 3 or 4 episodes and wasn't all that impressed, in fact I thought it was pretty bad. It was very often cheesy, over dramatic and just plain dumb at times. I enjoyed the pilot for sure but the horse and disabled soldier episodes just utterly destroyed it for me. I mean I can suspend belief for chicks doing James Bond repelling down sky scrapers and breaking into crazy stuff or a 20 something black dude that can hack your ipod into raping you or even a guy who can beat 5 guys with automatic weapons with just his bare hands. But what I can't suspend is off loading a half ton of unmarked bills to some generic pc black woman doctor and a random crippled soldier. Do you they realize the tax implications of that not to mention the legality? Yeah all the sudden they have like 5 million dollars in cash. Every government agency from the IRS to the DEA won't have a problem with that one. Pisses me off. I watched The Machinist and Transsiberian. Well I watched like 3/4's of The Machinist and like 1/3rd of Transsiberian. The first was kind of hard to watch becuase it was down right insane and weird. Seeing Christian Bale grotesquely internment camp skinny was scary. :'( Transsiberian was just pretty boring. Somewhat unfair to both movies but I just wasn't in any mood for watching an intense psychological thriller which both kind of where. Thus I won't give out any ratings.

Yeah I went on a binge and watched all 3 seasons within like a week and a half. I thought it would be kind of hokey and silly but really it's an excellent series. Most of the father/daughter stuff is pretty melodramatic for me but its never to the point where I have to pause or skip. Really wacky and sometimes pretty interesting. Btw has anyone seen this show Hell's Kitchen. I started watching it recently, they have like the last 2 full seasons on hulu and I think its one of the greatest things since sliced bread. I mean this English dude is so awesome calling chicks fat cows and just verbally and emotionally abusing people for their mistakes not to mention the ridiculous over production, it's just tv gold. I love it.

Must have been one hell of an experience becuase its Monday morning big guy.

I've always wanted to chop wood. Is that bad? I just ate a massive quantity of shrimps and now I'm just waiting for UFC to start.

Not a huge fan but then again all my jokes are sodomy related so I've pretty much transcended all genres and have settled into amazing.

I went to the mall today and bought 2 shirts for 30 bucks . It was pretty dicey in the begining but eventually I got the job done so now I have a whopping 4 shirts in total. I really need to go back but I don't want to. I hate going to the mall; its such a horrible accursed place. :'(
