A x700 is good enough for Oblivion so a X800 should be as well. You won't be able to get HDR lighting but you should get a decent frame rate with it on Bloom and x4 AA. Don't know about NWN 2 since it hasn't been released.

Questionably obnoxious? There is no question about it. Every animal has a chance to be dangerous and accidents do happen. I am sue Animal Planet and the Discovery channel will set up a good memorial show for the man. He deserves it.

I would never mess around with the BIOS. That is way too dangerous to do given my complete lack of experience. What software would be good to use for overclocking anyway?

It is sad top see a man such as him die but at least he died doing something he loved. If you are to die that is the best way to die.

Damn. I think I need a better computer. I think I won't do any over clocking with my current rig but in my next one I am going to make sure I have the right coolant systems that will allow it in a safe enough fasion.

Wel I can see them making an intergrated CPU/GPU that will fet in the new AM2/AM3 socket. When one upgrades all he has to do is worry about is one chip.

Just how safe is overclocking a GPU? I got a PNY GeForce 7600 GS in the tower.

If it works as advertises there are number of games that can use it right now. Oblivion is one of them. RAI might look good on paper but wow, some of the things the NPCs do make very little sense.

I didn't mind it. It seemed overall pretty tame compared to the easter eggs and pop culture references in Fallout 2.

I am considering doing this for NWN 2. Either that or working to remake BG1 in the NWN 2 engine. It will probably take next to forever to do.

There will be specialist cards for everything soon. Sheesh. I only have so many slots in my motherboard and they are all used up. It just seems a bit ridiculous.
