  1. Tell that to Jabba. There he was about to execute two trouble makers and his newly acquired slave girl kills him. How embarassing.
  2. Yes, but by the time the AGP card become cheap enough they will be considered low end and won't play the new games worth a crap.
  3. Baldur's Gate 1 using the NWN 2 engine. TES 1: Arena using the Oblivion engine. Wasteland using the NWN 2 or Oblivion engine.
  4. The reason why I prefer CRPGs is because I like a good interactive story in my games. hat is why I don't play sport games. Of course there are some other types of games that hae good stories do them as well such as the Wing Commander series and the Half Lifes.
  5. I am just recalling the PoOR 2 incident. I am sure UbiSoft will not make the same mistake.
  6. Securom sucks. Starforce sucks worse. Copy protection never really works in the way its suppose to.
  7. Not in my eyes. If you can't make a good CRPG then you can't make a game I like.
  8. Sure it isn't. Its being based on LotR by coincidence withthe movies being so popular.
  9. I don't buy movie based games.
  10. Nope. I am looking for games like Baldur's Gate, Fallout, and NWN 2.
  11. Its UbiSoft. Best to stay away fom games of theirs if you want an intake OS.
  12. If memory serves Eddo already posted the meaning of those symbols.
  13. I don't like football. What does EA have for traditional CRPGs? Anything?
  14. Yeah, but when did they last make a decent CRPG?
  15. So I take it you have the original and not the thin version.
  16. If there is one game series that could make good use of advertising without breaking the immersion factor it would be the Sims.
  17. It had a modern setting, right? So it would make sense, but putting the Ford logo on a tapestry in some 12th century king's castle would not.
  18. I would gladly spend $100 on a finely crafted CRPG that gives me long hours of delight. For example I would gladly paid $80 for a game like BG 2 when it first came out.
  19. I didn't. Where the hell did that come from?!?!? More why I guess than where. EDIT: Fixed. man, that was weird.
  20. As a consumer I don't care. If I am going to spend $50 on a game I don't want to see ads in or on it. Same reason why I don't have cable. If I am going to pay for somethig I don't want to deal with ads. My money is paying for the product. If I was getting the game for free that's a different matter but more than likely I would still pass it by.
  21. I really hope it never comes to that, Alan. I already ditched a lot of media entertain because of tupid advertising. I don't want to give up on gaming.
  22. No freaking way. If it makes sense in the game then fine but pulling crap like that would basically kill the sale fore me. I don't need or want to see the Coke or Pepsi logo on the box art or menu in any fantasy or far future game that I play. I like my advertising, for the most part, out of the way and not be bothersome. If it makes sense in a modern setting, then its not a problem. Anywhere else would be a major problem. Personally I hate the fact more and more advertising is creeping into my life. In the papers I read, the websites I visit, and so forth. If I want to know about a product I would look to do so on my own terms and not someone elses. Most advertising is just downright stupid to the point I don't even want to have anything to do with the media that it advertised on. That is why I simply do not watch television any more. I watch DVDs that I buy at the store and rip them onto my computer. No commercials and no annoyances.
  23. I would like FPS games a lot more if I could toggle them into the third person.
  24. So we have SONY WITH GREAT ADVANCES IN TECHNOLOGY... when working. And the we have Microsoft's X Box. Who would have thought that Microsoft could make a stable product?
