  1. Ghost Recon: Wildlands which looks awesome. Door Kickers and some old Wolfenstein game by Bethesda that feels a bit clunky... Oh and some Dead Rising 3 as well
  2. Sweet, Ravens added a CB and a safety that should be upgrades over the guys they cut.
  3. The game does have a good Lead Writer though, John Gonzalez who was the Lead on FNV. But since it's PS4 exclusive I doubt I'll ever play the game. Stupid Sony.
  4. Added: James Melili as Effects/VFX Artist Nina Huynh as Technical Animator Seth McCaughey as Senior Animator Source: Twitch stream
  5. Aye, and still this team of 20 was able to create a better game than Maxis could with their much larger team. I'll wait for few more of these DLCs and then start a new city. As stand alone additions there's not just enough meat on these DLCs.
  6. That's not a brand new IP. I would give my kidney for Alpha Protocol 2 though. I'd probably just give a lot of money for it. Probably safer for my health. This is why we can't have nice things!

  8. Am I the only one who read "Fishing and sea-monsters" to mean two separate things? I think the fishing mini-game is for recipes and resting bonuses. The sea-monsters were already in game as possible encounters and this just adds more of them. Nope, you are not the only one. That is exactly how I understood it as well. Fishing for recipes etc. and more sea monsters for (random) encounters. I personally don't care about the fishing part, but I want more sea monsters
  9. Yup, they've sold around 800k-900k copies of the 1st game since it's release + the games they sold during the KS campaign. That's a truckload of profit for them right there. Enough to fund Pillars 2 and other projects as well (unless they were heavily in debt and paid that off).
  10. Next game probably would be Turn-Based. I'm no big fan of Turn-Based on RPGs but my favorite franchise for TBS is Heroes & Might & Magic. Sadly that franchise is dead too on Ubisoft hand. And the second best TBS game that i love is King's Bounty. I think Obsidian can expand their portfolio with similar games like Heroes of Might & Magic or Might & Magic franchise. Those were my favorites too. I doubt they would use Unreal Engine for a turn-based game. There's been hints that Project Indiana uses UE and as such it most likely won't be turn-based that said, who knows if they release something smaller before that. The new XCOMs use the Unreal Engine. Oh? I had no idea... I'll eat my words!
  11. It sorta depends on Pillars 2 success as well. If they can sell around 0.5-1 million units at full price when the game comes out, they can fund few projects from that cash injection.

  13. 100-200 is pretty normal for mid developer, that said there aren't that many left who aren't owned by a publisher. There used to be way more of those before the production prices for games went up. Yes, their operating costs are somewhere around/over 1 million a month, according Feargus. Won't bother looking for the source, that was a long time ago. How they operate... Some of their income still comes from Pillars 1 and I doubt they even burned through what they made with the game. Other than that they sign on to a project for a fixed amount (might get bonus/royalties or might not). Both Tyranny and Armored Warfare were paid by publishers and that might be the case with Pathfinder as well. They've said when they started the Fig that they are looking to find investors through this for future projects. I could just stand for Indiana, the internal project name they have for the project.
  14. Roughly yes. They said on the stream yesterday that some of the people on Fig group photo have already moved on to different projects and they've hired some people recently and shuffled some new people in as well for Pillars 2. 50 people isn't large in gaming, AAA titles have way more people working on them. It is larger than the Pillars 1 though, I think they started that with about 20-30 people. LinkedIn has them at 190 people. That includes all of the owners (Feargus, Darren, Chris Parker and Chris Jones), PR guys, marketing and assistants etc. So unless that number is completely wrong they should have about 150-170 people working on actual games and Q&A. So yes, there are multiple projects that we know of already. There's the Pathfinder Card Game that has ~10 people working on it, Project Indiana which we should be hearing about next year, Tyranny still has some people working support on it. Someone asked them about this on the stream last night and they said they have 4 or 5 different projects. Some of those are clearly smaller, some might be pitches and might not lead anywhere etc. Feargus isn't the only boss. Other owners do some of the leading as well, as do Project Directors, Leads and producers. So he doesn't have to micromanage everything. Though as the CEO he does have lots of responsibilities.
  15. Not to mention some people will want to add stuff after the initial purchase. I'm tempted of getting a Obsidian hoodie and didn't want to add to the 200 dollars I was already pledging, so there's that as well.
  16. Well they did say it's not a Vampire game that much was clear before which did leave the door open to some other IP from WoD which was now promptly closed New Vegas 2 was stupid rumour, especially since the game is supposed to use Unreal Engine.

  20. Let's make it 4,5 milion before the end of this day!
  21. Definately woth watching. Sneaky Portuguese (?) people asking sneaky questions. Project Indiana (Cain&Boyarsky game) is a brand new IP and they haven't worked on it with Paradox (unless Leonard was dodging it sneakily as well), which would rule out World of Darkness?
  22. They were in pre-production. Pillars is in production already and it looks they want to hit that release date and not get released 1-1½ years later than promised as so many other crowdfunded game.
  23. Whoever came up with the ally AI for this game should be shot, then hanged and his remains should be shot to the sun as a warning for others. I have to allies and both are dumb as ****. One dwarf kingdom is losing the battle badly against Vampires, no problem I help him. He has one stack of units and his capital, at some point he decides to send his lord and troops on a suicide mission to colonize a minor settlement. Needless to say his troops and his colony were destroyed two turns later. Now I'm stuck keeping his city safe against a clearly cheating Vampire count. I beat him badly, he just returns two turns later with the same army + few more heroes like it's a big deal. This has gone down like 30 turns, until I got bored and tried to go on pillage mode. South I have two orc tribes left. One very minor and one wreaking havoc with a stack of doom. I have tried to coordinate with my ally to take the capital, that ***hat even had a stack nearby, but instead of coming to help and eradicate this menace from the area he goes and does whatever a bored dwarf lord does. Now this ****s up the whole situation in the south since that stack of doom is just too much and the orc capital isn't easy either. If he would just bother to move his lazy butt that capital would easily be taken and afterwards the goblin shaman leading the stack of doom. But nooo. Since he won't show up, I'm royally ****ed. Stack of doom goes on rampage if I try to encircle his capital, returns few turns later to kill my armies if I stay, I can't outrun him either with my dwarfs so he was nothing to worry about my armies either. And if I leave the city alone, he summons another lord with an another stack of doom to kill everyone. Not to mention the goddamn trading system that is literally the worst. Kislev is losing a war against Chaos, but won't accept my trade treaties which would actually help him out. So now I have chaos storming from the north as well and can't afford to send an army there due to the two bad AI allies ****ing up everything in the middle and south.
