"Utility records show the Gore family paid an average monthly electric bill of about $1,200 last year for its 10,000-square-foot home. The Gores used about 191,000 kilowatt hours in 2006, according to bills reviewed by The Associated Press. The typical Nashville household uses about 15,600 kilowatt-hours per year." And that energy, by the way, is not green energy. He uses normal energy and "invests" in green power sources. Listen, I'm not even attacking the guy on his energy consumption as such. I don't really care. I just think that this is the exact sort of thing that draws fire. It has drawn fire. That's the way it is. So his consumption, according to that most conservative of think tanks, the Associated Press, is only several times more than the average household as opposed to severl times and then a couple more. The thing is they were never given the utility records. So, how did they get it? And yes, it is green energy. Nashville Electric Service offers a green energy substitution program where you can buy it in set blocks for a premium. I haven't done the math myself, but according to others, the cited killowatt hours and expenses correspond properly to paying this addition premium.

He does use a lot of energy, but that energy is all green energy. He's even paying significantly more than he would be if it weren't green. Where is the hypocrisy in that? How does that make him deserve ridicule? Of course "[Nashville Electric Service] company spokeswoman Laurie Parker said the utility never got a request from the policy center and never gave it any information." http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,...1594368,00.html So, where are they getting the info?

So much enthusiasm for Jade Empire around here!

So... adventure games?

I think it might fall under laws regarding reverse engineering. What these laws are called and what purpose they serve interpreted in this fashion, I can't guess. In fact, I don't even trust the guess that is the first sentence of this post.

If you're asking that of me, then no, neither of them were MMOs.

Exclusively because Obsidian did not clean up the assets before release. Every game has cut content. Many games have significantly more content cut than TSL. It has nothing to do with a legitimate criticism against TSL and more convenient bandwagoning since people have been able to figure out what specifically was cut and where it would go. There is no legitimate difference between "cut content" that is put into the game after initial release and "added content." Most added content is actually just cut or unfinished content people didn't know about.

Silent Hill 2 is the first one off the top of my head. Some games like Final Fantasy X & Star Ocean: till the end of time if you live in Japan. Fable, Riddick.

What backlash? We've seen it done with movies and games countless times before. Though never with such a delay, except for the odd compilation or remake.

And I just said that Lucasarts are the only ones with say in the matter. It is a good idea, but it needs to be expressed to Lucasarts, they're the ones that need convincing.

If they really didn't want any suspicion cast on HRG, they should have made it a car wreck, not a shooting.

Who else would you rather see for a series set between the new and old trilogy? He's the second highest selling character after Darth Vader himself. And he's not a Jedi!
-
Kreia's redemption? Are you bonkers? Why would Kreia be redeemed? It would be up to, and only up to, Lucasarts to re-release the game. Which, based on previous reports and their new stance of only one Star Wars game a year, is not something they seem wont to do.

right. Isaac just chooses to wear the same tan coat and light blue shirt for fun. Maybe it was a remnant of some couples' shopping trip before Peter came in the picture. Simone: "Look Isaac! His and her matching outfits! Give me some money" Isaac: " But I need this coin for my junk!" I see the blue, now. All I saw when I looked at it was a white shirt, which is something Isaac wears a lot of.

That's a big assumption that is her behind her. Looks more like Isaac.

Promise of the Witch King by R.A. Salvatore After I finish book 3 in that trilogy (promise is only book 2), I'm going to read http://www.jonathanstrange.com/ Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. Friend keeps recommending it every time I mention how much I love The Prestige.

How much, if any, of that is green power? http://www.nespower.com/green_power_switch.aspx They cite the Nashville Electric Service in regards to his power consumption, but where are they getting the information on his natural gas bill? The point of the article is a significant one, though. I'm curious as to what Gore or others would have to say about it.

I always love hearing about their kite festivals. Especially the ones they have on the border with India.

Haha. When I play chaos I get pissed off at Imperial Guard. Upgraded they fire out of the range of sentry guns.

I was sidetracked with Battlefield 2142 this weekend. Didn't play anything else. I'm almost a Chief Petty Officer Gold and I'm falling in love with support.

He's kind of preachy. I've been reading the Drizzt books lately (actually just got to the point where it was appropriate to switch to the Sellswords trilo of Artemis books) and I distinctly recall him preaching on in one of the chapter introductions about faith. It felt distinctly out of place for Forgotten Realms. It was basically Drizzt stating that because he never met Melilikki (even though he techncally did) during the Time of Troubles that his religion is better than everyone else's because he has faith and they don't. Which I think is as telling of Salvatore as Drizzt.

Customers are the reason people have job. A single customer is not. The problem is primarily when a customer expresses a gross sense of entitlement due to their status as a customer and they attempt to willfully abuse anyone they see fit. I don't know if it's just typical human arrogance or rampant consumerism, but customer, clerk, or service provider, you're all humans and need to act with dignity and respect. I don't care the cost of the product or the problem with it, it does not entitle a person to be a prick.
