  1. Woohoo, new cold war! Does this mean we'll get kickbutt movies about secret agents some 30 years hence with fresh new material?
  2. Phantom Hourglass The stylus contol is actually very good, but I'd kill to just be able to use the D-pad instead sometimes. The stylus is irreplaceable in other regards though, such as navigating at see (at least how they do it), and the boomerang (which I prefer this way). The "blow into your mic to simulate Link blowing" nonsense is ridiculous though and whoever thought about making it pop up multiple times needs to be fired. It was stupid in Phoenix Wright 1 remake, it's stupid here. Blow out the candles! Blow off the dust! I can't imagine what kind of idiot it takes to think blowing onto my handheld is somehow fun.
  3. I finally finished Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and I have to say it was the best series I've seen in some time, save Bleach. Maybe even better than Bleach because its 27 episode run means no filler. Except for that one episode which is a rundown of events up that point. I think I may just have to go to sleep now. I'm so disappointed with life for not being as awesome as that show that I'm depressed now.
  4. I never imagined something this over the top could actually be good. A giant robot just punched a hole in time and space.
  5. Hellgate: London has depth? What the heck have you been smoking? srsly
  6. Sand, you going to be able to play the Orange Box? Don't you have trouble with shooters? Portal you should be okay with, but the rest of them require varying amounts of twitch.
  7. NERD RAGE The SS-Anon Gurren Lagann subs have the worst subtitles I've ever encountered. They're too big and stretch past the end of the screen so you can't read more than 4 words.
  8. I'd recommend the Orange Box, but I am kind of biased, I'm getting my copy for free from VALVe.
  9. 3 episodes into Gurren Lagann. Sugoi!
  10. He's a guerilla marketer, not a viral marketer.
  11. One word: Gastroenteritis Don't know that I've ever had it before, but it is particularly annoying.
  12. They would still have governments. Are you claiming that small population states with zero natural resources constitutes every state other than California and Texas?
  13. The federal government doesn't pull its money out of thin air. It's reasonable that absent federal taxation on the citizenry, they could increase state and local governments to help fill in for, at least some, of that funding.
  14. Only one room full of shelves? I find the notion that you don't have a free 12.15x3.27x10.15 in markedly absurd. You wouldn't be able to buy another book or game for the rest of your life. Okay, maybe you could buy ONE, but a second or third is right out.
  15. It could be attached to a wall. It could be on the bookshelf.
  16. I find myself curious about contract law, now! Just in general. Later todayWhen I get a chance, I'll try to put something together regarding ADHD. I know it's a controversial subject in some circles and I even have personally known people who contest its existence.
  17. He does not say that it was initially intended as a follow up of KotOR. That's a claim you're making from reading too much into a completely different group of statements. Being frustrated, writing in the dark, and wasting time do not equal him stating the original plan.
  18. Zombie Jesus, some people are detached.
  19. Well, I think it's reasonable to assume that K2 was meant to be a follow up of K1 from the very beginning, since Avellone says in the interview: "...so we really knew nothing about the first game and were writing in the dark (Revan who?). It was a frustrating situation that we wasted 2-3 months on that (there was nothing to be done about it), and then had to do another revision once we were able to play the first game. If you feel a disconnect in the storylines, that would be one of the reasons (again, my fault). " Sounds an awfully lot to me like the first draft was supposed to be a K1 follow up. In fact, no, it clearly was. All of that is said after the fact and should be taken with that consideration. So, it's not "clearly" as you claim. Considering the final product is a followup, then obviously the time was wasted towards that production.
  20. Microsoft will never make an emulator. If anything, they'd sue anyone who did. And with the DMCA, they might have a case. Seriously, if you have troubles with space to such a degree that you can't find a spot for a box the size of a VCR, then you need to move out of the closet and buy a single shelf.
  21. Welcome to the thread, Hurl. Euros get it early. Commies.
  22. It requires no writing skills to play a game that way. It's not hard and doesn't require extensive creativity to just say "hey, this whole situation is getting weird, stop fluffing my ego you stupid NPCs. What's going on is just silly!" The Mary Sue is not some incredibly difficult to navigate trap of the imagination. It's actually very easy to avoid.
  23. Mr. Ahmadinejad is not an idiot. He's a professor at a university and teaches regularly. So what if he's a theist? It doesn't change the fact that he's a very intelligent man. He questions the holocaust because of his firm believe that there just might be 'inaccuracies' in popular history. What is so wrong about that? Is it not the mark of an intellectual to question things? So death of 11 000 000 000 people could be just an "inaccuracy" and didn
