  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adeptus_Custodes I would doubt Mechanicus too. It doesn't fit in with "Soulstorm" and reading the wiki, it seems difficult to justify in general. Would seem better as something to use as units for IG and SM (IG already has tech priests, anyway). Though it would be interesting!
  2. I doubt it'll be Inquisition. There are Inquisition units with the Space Marines already, would seem redundant. The wiki entry claims that some fans think it could be the Emperor's personal bodyguards.
  3. Still Alive - Jonathon Coulton Warning: Contains spoilers for VALVe's Portal. Indeed, it's the end song during the credits.
  4. I would have this game already but I'm waiting on my Circuit City gamer's discount card to arrive. I'm planning on making ~$300 in purchases this week. Maybe I should just buck it up and not save the 10% on this expansion.
  5. I just beat Portal twice. Once regular then once with commentary. > Shodan
  6. I want to see it, but by the time I found out it was showing there were only two showings left at the theatre.
  7. Lots of fun. Much better than the stupid car garage in Episode 1. There were two different trips in nests. And both played quite wonderfully, in my opinion. Much better than anything else involving fighting against antlions so far. It was harder in some ways, but less about being swarmed by enemies (save for one portion).
  8. Stayed up all night played Half Life 2: Episode 2. Also got in about 30 minutes of Portal before I realized the dialogue didn't decrypt properly. I have both good and bad things to say about Episode 2, I'm nearly done, so I feel mostly confident in my stance. There are aspects of Valve's episodic approach that, even only after two episodes, feels a little formulaic. There are several things they introduce in Episode 1, slightly elaborate on in Episode 2, and then are leaving us to explore in Episode 3. It seems as if they're either: a) trying desperately to make sure we don't think they throw them in at the last minute or b) keep them fresh in our minds each episode with incremental teasers to try to tie everything together. As episodes, they don't stand on their own feet very well, if at all, is the basis of what I'm saying. And as a single creation cut into pieces, it's just too damned busy. I also feel it lacks the attention to detail Half-Life 2 had. The G-man appearances, Kleiner's lab (mini-teleport, Kleiner's miscellaneous commentary on multiple things). Though the recurring "couple on the couch" gag is a detail I'm glad they're still keeping. On the upside, gameplay is still top notch and pacing is among the best. I love the new creatures, scenes, encounters. There's a nice little ambush which is probably one of my favorite fights in shootan. The Hunters are incredibly epic for relatively common enemies and, trust me, the gameplay vids do them no justice, they've changed since then. They're not mini-striders or running turrets.
  9. Shipping on the 9th seems to be the case in this instance. Which would explain why it didn't get released early like Europe.
  10. CS: Source is not included.
  11. I can help you, but we might have to metaphorically make a deal with the devil, and by "devil", I mean Robot Devil, and by "metaphorically", I mean get your coat.
  12. No. Not at all. They have a license agreement through 2013.
  13. Or Hotel Dusk. Did Resident Evil 1, 2 or Silent Hill 1 come out for PCs? OOH, OOH! Fatal Frame.
  14. I did some searching around and apparently they have made such a comment. So, I guess there is good reason for them to include yet another human army, because aside from Tyranids, that's all that is left.
  15. -In the description for the Hellfire Canyon map, it is stated that every known power in the galaxy has attempted to take the area, except for the Tyranids, but "time will soon remedy this exception." wikipedia.org That's one and I can swear there were others, but don't recall them off the top of my head. Maybe it's just that one, which would make my comment of "filled" an exaggeration.

Plot holes? IT REALLY IS LIKE A REAL COMIC BOOK!
  17. 2nd new race is probably going to be Tyranids. I can't see any justification behind them adding a fourth human army and Dark Crusade is filled with Tyranid references.
  18. I'm dissapointed by the reported self-censorship square enix is engaging in with the Final Fantasy Tactics remake's english translation. But, I'm still anticipating it, however maybe I'll pause a couple of minutes before purchasing it this time.
  19. I have a corporation tag that if I started playing again would make it difficult for me to join any other corporation. But given my history in other games, I'd still pull it off. And also given my history in other games, I'd probably end up podding one of their leaders for a trivial bounty and destroying all of his expensive implants he used out of game money for isk exchanges to purchase. And it would be great.
  20. 1) Last Rites is Torment 2) The design doc has already been discussed in another thread on this forum, of note is that it was done by linking from the source that guy gets it from.
  21. It'll never be made. I hope your dreams buuuuuuurn! BUUUURN!
  22. That'd be not scary at all. The amount of damage that the developers can do by playing the game and showing favoritism to a small circle of elite guilds would be minimal.
  23. Pretty neat. I don't know if it'll do what they need it to do, but it's the most fascinating gimmick at the very least. As a former EVE-Online player, with my ear still to the bedrock as it where, the situation that leads up to this repsonse is very deserved of this level of attention towards resolution. If not this manner of attention.
