Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is finished. Now it gives me access to a "harder" challenge mode. I put quotes around harder because despite it being supposedly stronger enemies, it lets me keep my weapons and armor from the last game. Which includes the secret weapon RYNO, which is sort of a cross between a chaingun, heat seeking rocket launcher, and death ray.

Also to note, people with ADHD don't necessarily have problems in all capacities. Problems are most profound in less stimulating tasks. Someone with ADHD may have severe problems with textbooks, but not with a video games or movies they enjoy. I imagine this is related to how we treat ADHD, using stimulants. I've found caffeine to be an occasionally good substitute for Adderall. Gives me interesting theories about the hyperactive component. Obtaining stimulation seems to be a theme. What's your interest? I've got a DSM-IV TR as well as several textbooks that have the subject. I might even be able to look up some resources if you need me to. Though I doubt I could pull any journal articles anymore.

The hardest part of diagnosing this comes from the fact that it has to be clearly impairing and it has to be inconsistent with their developmental level. A small child who behaves in a way that matches these criteria may not necessarily qualify. A lot of kids will behave in this manner. However if this is the only kid behaving this way out of 25 or so other kids his own age and he's having difficulties at home and at school, it may be worth it to look into for his sake. Personal: I am ADHD. I know that doesn't mean a lot to a lot of people. Reported over diagnoses of ADHD and the difficulty in observing it as maladaptive compared to other disorders such as Schizophrenia have caused many people to glance over it as a myth. However, when I miss my exit by 15 minutes before even realizing it, I notice it. When I have to read a paragraph of a textbook 5 times before I even recognize a sentence, I notice it. For me, It's like being extremely tired, but still having energy. I fought to get off medication in elementary school. Hate drugs, always have, always will. Convinced my parents to take me off medication. Right off the bat I started getting Cs, Ds, and Fs. Could barely cut it for honors classes anymore. In college, I could only get a 2.8 or 2.9. Until one day I broke down and realized I needed help. Within two years only medicating when I really needed to, I got back to nearly 3.5. Without medicating I would go to class and not really know what's going on. I couldn't even take notes everything would just kind of zoom by me. Topic? Dunno. He's looking for questions? On what? Hell, for those years I would have had trouble telling you my name and age. When I viewed the wikipedia.org article I found something interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attention-def...tivity_disorder http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Adhdbrain.gif I need to read that study.

Okay, so Devil May Cry 4 looks good. I just watched the trailer. Now I'm looking forward to it.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you might have a bit of a hardware problem. What kind of strange noises? Beeps? Whirs? Clicks?

Is Metal Gear Solid 4 here yet? No? *sulks*

Why are we talking about coins? I thought this was a discussion of Bhutto.
-
Macross 7 wasn't a prequel. But thanks for the information!
-
I only know one thing. Pakistan has some hot women. Went to school with a young girl that was born in Pakistan and by Allah was she beautiful. Old pictures of Bhutto show she used to be quite the looker as well.

Loving Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. I'm sad that I never picked up on this franchise before.
-
Folklore Demo. Kind of a slow start. Lack of any voice acting makes it seem even slower.

Don't forget the nurses, doctors, rebels, sorceresses, or politicians.
-
I can't think of any.

They have an in-house engine that they upgrade as they go along. It's the same engine used for Condemned that will be used for Condemned 2. Anyway, Uncharted is completed. Very good game. I'm hearing Ratchet & Clank Future is just as good, so I'll give that a shot next.

No, he asked if they were related. I think Obsidian shares a cousin with NWN1.

Completely awesome.

Replaced a case fan because I heard a noise yesterday. Investigated and the least important fan in my system was out. Considering how much I use it, I didn't want to take chances. I just hope I didn't install it upside down.

Nah, it's not. Overlord, yes. Gears, no.

There's nothing wrong with the controls. PC supports the 360 controller and I've played it both ways on PC as well as played the 360 version over a friends. PC controls just fine with keyboard and mouse.

Finished Daxter. Fairly short game, not up to the quality as the rest of the series. Different developer, so I can understand. Tried getting back into Gears of War PC and couldn't. Uncharted, here I come!

Just got done enabling some nice media sharing. Running two media servers on my computer. Windows media player for most, TVersity for transcoding. TVersity has problems building its library apparently, otherwise I'd only use it.

Yes. Yes, I do.

I've only posted once in this thread! Well twice now, but that doesn't hurt my position!

This is the wrong place to discuss that.
