  1. It was a drug raid on warrant. It wasn't based on a "tip." Most likely the address on the warrant was written wrong. As for shouting that they've got them surrounded, that's usually when you end up with hostages taken and disposed of evidence. A warrant should be more credible than that, however. This should, and from the article it is, cause them to reevaluate their procedures when conducting raids. They may be putting in some sort of verification steps in there, if they don't already have them and they just weren't followed.
  2. I went neutral. I also chose Triss because she seemed more capable. Lol at those who think they couldn't stay neutral. I thought it was far better. It actually took into account your actions instead of being a very straight script. However, I'm only theorizing on that point. I wonder how much of what I said previously effect that dialogue.
  3. Just beat the game. I'll try to minimize spoilers. Quite frankly, I think it's a novel worthy story. That is to say it's that good. Of course, that's also ignoring the poor english localization. The overall story is just good. To compare it to Mask of the Betrayer, I'd say MotB had more interesting characters, Witcher had a better story. I thought it did very well what it set out to do, as well. Blur the lines between good and evil. Sometimes it did fall short, at one point a character tries blaming Geralt for all the bad things that have happened so far, which is a point easily defensible against. At least in my game. However, the ultimate villain of the game was a sympathetic character to me. His position isn't entirely new, as I'm sure I've seen it before, but the way they presented it along with my realization of who he is had me feel sorry for him in some ways. Another flaw in the game is that it's uneven in a way. Chapter 2 and 3 feel like just one long chapter. When I hit 3, it felt repetitive. But once I was done with that, smooth sailing.
  4. Near the end of Witcher. Getting closer. Have some nice badarse armor, badarse swords, and am tearing the enemies to shreds. Except that last unique monster who nearly reamed me like I was a hooker and it was jack the ripper, but I found a way.

Actually I mean chips, but that's because I wish I were British.
  6. Really? He's seemed a bit of a one trick pony to me. Luckily that trick rests perfectly on what was needed for Batman, Equilibrium, and American Psycho.
  7. I have two things to say. One, the forum automatically *s swear words. This is what Xard was conveying. It's not him doing it, it's the forum. As an example. ****ing. It should show up with stars and ing, even though I did spell the word out. Two, CATFIGHT! ROWR!

Took my mother to Red Lobster saturday, my treat. Had the Lobster mixed seafood grill or whatever. Included scallops, shrimp, and a maine lobster tail which had been split in the middle. The scallops and shrimp were good and while I rarely find lobster tails to be as big as I expect, this one seemed even smaller than usual. Probably because of how it was cut. It had a very good butter sauce over it. Also, I can not recommend Red Lobster's french fries. Their Lobster Pizza is delicious, however.
  9. Am I really the only person with an XFire issue in NWN2? Nobody else comments on it.
  10. HACHACHA! I like the Xenosagas, but they're some I can't recommend to everybody. Serious flaws, but incredible if you can look past them. They're for RPG gamers who really enjoy a nice pseudo-philosophical story. If you're a big Xenogears fan, like me, they're doubly nice for all the little throwbacks to that old game. Never played any of the Tales games, but I think Symphonia is the one I've heard most recommendations for. If you're looking for a Final Fantasy, I would recommend XII before I recommend X.
  11. If Wals starves to death, I call dibs on his moderator status!
  12. It took me a while to catch on to this. In Chapter I you see several characters with what you think are unique models. Chapter II comes along and they end up on every street corner. I'm in the last chapter and I want to say I can list the unique models, but I just know that I'll turn a corner and find an army of clones.
  13. One thing that bothers me is the translation is pretty terrible. Many conversations are disjointed and other times they're just jumpy. And it seems like there's two Geralt voice actors. One's good, the other sounds like he might be an intern.
  14. Dont do it! Because then she'll win!
  15. Morrowind? That had a brilliant story and was completely open ended sandbox play. If KOTOR was ever made like that then that would be the best game of Star Wars ever. The story of Morrowind was throwaway. The story behind Morrowind was quite good. The characters and progression were thinly veiled attempts to make you travel from location to location with no sincere plot or character development beyond ever increasing revelations about a single interesting event in the backstory. A very interesting event, but not exactly a meaty story.
  16. I prefer well written stories to sandbox adventures.
  17. LET'S GET DANGEROUS! By god he better appear in KH3! Alongside Gargoyles. Or there will be HECK TO PAY!
  18. The weird thing about The Pretender. Jarod and Ms. Parker often end up alone and you just want them to get romantically involved, but the way this show handles family mystery and revelations, there are points in the series where we're tempted to think they're brother and sister.
  19. It's kind of cool that, in Chapter 4,
  20. The Pretender 2001 I miss this show. This movie is so good, I think I'll buy all four seasons in a couple of weeks.
  21. I like Kingdom Hearts. And Final Fantasy Tactics may not be Keats, but it's still more mature a game than half the stuff that gets released. KOTOR and NWN2 included.
  22. I'm in the final chapter. Should finish tomorrow. I could probably finish today, but I want to do something else and not rush it.

    I'll cut you.
  24. I found a used Gamecube copy of Killer 7 for 9 dollars. Which means I'm now playing The Witcher again.
  25. It's a zombie, KILL IT! Aim for the head!
