KotOR 2 on Steam
Obsidian most likely has no say in it. Lucasarts has either just not been interested, or they submitted to Valve and had it rejected for some reason, and they aren't interested in resolving the issue.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Whoah whoah. Rumor mill time. Warning: rumors ahead. There seems to be some changes at Bioware. The seed rumor is that Bioware Austin may stop being part of the Bioware brand. But the more interesting one is that the doctors may be leaving Bioware. http://www.rpgwatch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17734 Dr. Greg Zeschuk is no longer a General Manager. Though he is still a Co-Founder. Not that he could ever technically cease being as such. http://ca.linkedin.com/pub/greg-zeschuk/14/a8/654 Edit:

What are you playing now? Part 3'ish
Being a big Star Wars fanboy and all, KOTOR is one of my favorite games ever. But from about that point on (on the Star Forge, facing the waves of enemies) I hated replaying that part. It's weird. Every Star Wars fanboy loves it. But back when I was a Star Wars fanboy, that's precisely why I didn't have such a great opinion of it. It felt like a cheap imitation of Star Wars and not actually Star Wars. Kolto? Everyone is using swords? That Mandalorian armor design, ARGH! Now that I care less about Star Wars and more about RPGs, I enjoyed it more.

What you did today
Cooked salmon with an herb butter. Learned a few things making the herb butter. Ground thyme is remarkably dense. With the garlic powder, it turns it into an ugly brown-green goop. It is delicious. Rosemary leaves add absolutely nothing. Should use more butter (not advised) or less thyme. Just cut the rosemary out entirely.

What are you playing now? Part 3'ish
Bought Book of Unwritten Tales yesterday on Steam. I've heard nothing but good things and am fighting to finish this KOTOR run before I play it. I swear, if one of you guys tells me it sucks I'll cry. Unless it's Morgoth, then I'll take that as endorsement. Quantum Conundrum also launched its first DLC. I have the season pass, so I tried to give it a whirl. Made my way through the first room, made it to the second room, which just loops right back into itself. I... think I'm lost. So I went right back to KOTOR.

SW: The Old Republic Part 4
How is that not a cop out? Bioware has no respect for player choice in an RPG. When faced with a choice, the only available option is to take the one that's even against the archetype. Annoying DM pet that forces the player to explicitly abandon their objective to support. It's the most basic of DM offenses. It's not binary, chance to kill him and displease this group, make him mandatory and displease this group. It pains me to see things simplified in this manner. There are several other possibilities for how the thing could have been handled that didn't require a companion to die. Make the clone the companion. Have him not the target at all. Have a pop up warning that he could be a companion. Make him actually useful and with a good argument for saving him. Call the hunt off. Anything but what they did. They simply did not care. It's thoughtless and bad RPG design backed up by absolutely forgettable writing. It's cool if you can ignore it, but there's nothing to instead focus on. Nothing to redeem it. The entire story arc is a gameshow running yet a third or fourth interpretation of The Great Hunt (the Wookiees do it, no the Mandalorians do it, no the Jedi do it, no really the Wookiees and Mandalorians do it together for the Bounty Hunters?). Completely ignoring any relationship to the greater faction or setting. You're playing a mercenary in the middle of an intergalactic cold war and you're stuck chasing some irrelevant nobodies and arching a two-bit Mandalorian with a childish grudge.

Zoooooooooooom. That's a neat feature they're including. Doubt I'll use it, but it's still neat. Remember me if you ever consider multiplayer. I'll be with you on supporting it.

Ubisoft DRM includes rootkit
So what? The issue is that they shipped a ****ing rootkit in the first place. That is an issue. Not THE issue. If you equate active vulnerabilities to fixed vulnerabilities, then you downplay the need to ever fix them.

http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/1588/bgee-please-read-list-of-things-that-cant-be-done What this sounds like is that we can get new dialogue, but it has to be tied to one of the DLC packs.

Ubisoft DRM includes rootkit
They've already issued a fix, limiting the plug-in to only access Uplay.

What are you playing now? Part 3'ish
I owe KOTOR some apologies. The past few years I've held that the twist was imminently predictable. On replay, I can see how it would be covered up. Bastila, upon first meeting the player, genuinely seems to have no clue who he is. Mistaking him for a member of a swoop gang. And it's never made obvious that the PC has amnesia, he just has no clue what he's doing on the Endar Spire. It still has all the other things I would speak negatively about, but they don't bother me as I claim they once did. How much could they have bothered me, anyway? I did play it twice through a long time ago.

Turn based RPGs and such for Android.
Avadon: Black Fortress is supposed to be on Android. Don't know how well it plays on a phone, though.

Here's some fun news, all three characters have a romance. They don't list the monk and blackguard because they're not finalized.

Neera's a Wild Mage. How can you not? Edit: New cinematics? The purist is sad, but some of them were pretty awful.
