  1. I really liked Persona 3 and 4. As I understand it, they're quite different from 1 and 2. And at least 3 and 4 aren't connected, so you can pick up just about anywhere you would like.
  2. Borderlands 2. Though tomorrow I should break for Of Orcs and Men.
  3. Honestly? I just bought it, but haven't started it. I think your previous posts are what sold me on it.
  4. I let the thread stay here because I thought it could serve as a sort of containment. However, its location has become a distraction to actual discussion. If you want to discuss Interplay/Black Isle's crowd funding campaign, let's move it to the existing thread in Computer & Console. http://forums.obsidi...k-isle-returns/
  5. I refuse to organize lists. Making the distinction that game-I-love-A is better than game-I-love-B is hard enough most of the time, but some games push that line and I don't care about stressing it. Dragon's Dogma Spec-Ops: The Line Borderlands 2 Deponia Deponia 2 (hey, they both released this year in NA) The Walking Dead Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Journey Halo 4 (I'm desperate for a 10th item, and I thought it at least good)
  6. Ahh, so I wasn't alone in noticing a New Vegas "update." Still on Borderlands 2. Can't break myself from it.
  7. Everything is "intrinsic" to the human race. Acid reflux, indigestion, and headaches are. Doesn't mean people shouldn't take pepto bismol and pain relievers. Allergies are part of the human condition, as well, but if you try to tell me I shouldn't take allergy relief, whether it be loratadine or diphenhydramine, I'll laugh in your face. Your stigmatization of diagnosis and treatment strikes me as bizarre.
  8. Finished The Whispered World. Thought that to be pretty darn good. Ending was kind of a copout. Started up Borderlands 2. A melee build zero isn't that interesting at these low levels. But the higher level talents look like tons of fun.
  9. The person overanalyzing is you. A psychological disorder is not defined by the vague definition you managed to grab off wikipedia. Nor is that anywhere near how diagnoses are come by. It would be akin to concluding a car wreck from a dented fender, just because you read a definition of car wreck that said "features damage to car." You are missing or otherwise ignoring diagnostic criteria like this one for depersonalization disorder. Trained mental health workers are already well aware that some amount of depersonalization is very common. But this isn't about the common, this is about the extreme and harmful.
  10. No, it isn't. http://www.gog.com/g...diamond_edition Neverwinter Nights 2 is the only one that's notably hard to get. But yes, Atari lost the license, which is why Hasbro is listed as publisher now. Check this out. http://nwn2.com/ http://www.obsidian.net/games.html#nwn2
  11. I'd always heard that Neeshka's writer didn't feel a romance was right for her, so I imagine they simply never did one.

Dawn of War is fantastic. For the 2 guys that haven't played it yet, hop to it.
  13. As I recall, all D&D games were pulled from Digital Distributors. This seemed to be because of a general transition of the license from Atari to Hasbro. For some reason, Neverwinter Nights 2 did not return. Actually, I swear I saw it return, then get pulled again.
  14. Galaxy Quest Everything I ask for in a movie. Self-awareness, character development, and a few decent laughs.
  15. Finished Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. A very fun little game. Onto the Edna + Harvey games from Daedalic.

Maybe Summer Sale. Not at the Christmas sale.
  17. Loved that game. My favorite console game of the year.

If the THQ bundle had Dark Crusade, I'd get it. Alas.
  19. It doesn't sound as if it'll still be an MMO. But there's almost no chance of them finishing this, they've gotten nowhere in years. Vaporware usually has more to show for it.
  20. I wonder if you can get them to issue a refund if you have never played the game? I mean they can tell if you've used the key or not, I would imagine, so if you haven't, you might have a chance to get it refunded. They say they will refund one game, but I don't know if that's the real policy or just what they say to keep people abusing it. I asked for a refund on DOOM 3 BFG since it wouldn't work for me, and that's the line they gave.
  21. I hate ME3, but I did find this particular complaint nitpicky. It's not wrong as a complaint, it just doesn't seem as serious as people paint it out to be. Earth isn't even the seat of human governance. So, it being the focus is kind of odd, granted. But the humans are going to focus on human stuff. And nobody drops everything just to help the humans, they decide they need to be helped first. And they are helped. And they reportedly do fantastic after being helped. Or that's how it seemed to me, which lended support to the idea that a traditional victory should have been approachable. Otherwise, yeah, they should have just destroyed the Earth relay and yelled "VICTORY." However, in further hindsight, Earth is still conspicuous. The mcguffin just happens to be next door to Earth. The Reapers are obsessed with defending Earth. Why wouldn't the Reapers have taken the Citadel to Thessia? Heck, why move it at all? If they're clearly so superior in fleet engagements, why put it somewhere with ground access? Earth is oddly convenient.
  22. Interplay is trying to crowdfund Project V13, the old Fallout Online. http://www.blackisle.com/ Of course, they're using the blackisle.com site instead of something like Kickstarter so they don't have to give you the money back if it doesn't reach the goal. Oh, and the only thing contributing will get you is forum access.
  23. ARGH Metal Gear Solid 4 did this quite a few times.
