  1. If there was a little more humility from the guy, I think I'd be more positive. But he talks about the game as if it's going to be the best story in gaming. Meanwhile it's dredging up more "be a complete **** to look cool" scenes that people thought were stupid when they heard about it from Enslaved. Spoiler warning before the spoiler. You probably shouldn't read this under any circumstance. I don't think I'm being oversensitive in being dumbfounded here.
  2. For that fight, you can use an NPC co-op buddy. That's actually what I did for it. Praise the sun!
  3. It's incredibly easy in co-op. So far, most of the fights are, except Capra Demon. Playing the same. Finally joined Sunlight Covenant and am trying to farm for a Balder Side Sword, but I'm more just farming titanite and souls for sorceries.
  4. Dark Souls. In the Depths and I seem to have gotten turned around.
  5. Beat the Belfry Gargoyles on my first try. Had some help from an NPC phantom. Give me someone to distract the enemy and Heavy Soul Spear will destroy anyone.
  6. The melee Assassin fails to shine until like level 31, sadly. But I guess that's a flaw of building a character that isn't benefited by the core game mechanic of loot. The best melee gun is the Law pistol and you will not replace that until you get a higher level Law in NG+.
  7. I thought I'd try out the Siren in Borderlands 2. Low level is not all that different from when I played my Assassin. I guess that's a criticism I can level at it, the classes are very samey until level 10 or 15. I thought I'd do a Siren run for my DLC playthrough since melee was getting tired, but I'm not in the mood to run through everything again just yet. So I went back to Dark Souls. Backtracking a bit to get Heavy Soul Arrow was the best decision I made. Oh look, it's a Tower Knight. A giant scary looking guy I was not expecting. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  8. I just hope it has a dance battle minigame.
  9. Dark Souls. Getting further along than I did when I played it on PS3, but I see myself getting distracted again. Probably by adventure games.
  10. The only right way to do Monty Python is to leave it to Monty Python. There's something almost criminal about taking humor that was known for being unexpected and and making it commonplace.
  11. Book or Gameboy. Now it's usually book or notepad for writing.
  12. These are real time games? I may have to look at some videos.
  13. I would champion it to this day if the entire third act wasn't one of the dumbest bits of railroading I've seen in years. Worse than that time my DM started setting fire to doors he wanted me to not go through. He forgot I had 5 resist to fire.
  14. I just don't see it as being valuable. Nothing in particular against it, but I'm expecting the characters to show up about 1 inch tall on the screen. Or less. So, whether the guy is doing an overhead chop, or a sideways slash at the neck, it's not something that I see being incredibly noticeable. That said, I'm making some assumptions in coming to that opinion. If things differ from my expectations substantially, I'm up to changing it.
  15. Beat Sleeping Dogs. I didn't do absolutely everything in the game. Since it doesn't have VTOL fighter jets or a grappling hook, there's not a whole lot to interest me once the primary content is complete. But it was still a solid game.
  16. Everyone will have a home. It's just some will end up in a rather impoverished house. Everything gets sold to pay debt. If they need to sell everything, everything finds a place, even if it's in the hands of the insurance company that makes up the difference to debtors. If they don't need to sell everything, THQ gets to keep some stuff, which they may then sell for operating capital.
  17. I think I'm almost done with Sleeping Dogs. It's hard to tell. I've been capped on face and cop XP for a while. I just maxed melee. But I'm only level 8 for triad XP.
  18. Playing Black Ops II. So far it's worth the 2.17 rental fee. And if I beat it today, that's all it will have cost. Edit: This is probably the greatest case of wasted potential I've ever seen. It's... good. But there's so much in it that belongs in a better game. Cool gadgets you use once. Interesting locales you never really get to explore. If this were more open, like a sandbox game, it would blow everything out of the water.
  19. Exactly. There is a easy way to kill the taurus demon. Fun thing about this strategy is it may cause the boss to commit suicide.
  20. Tale

    STEAM!

It was a glitch, but that was the price for a while. People bought it.

If you like sandbox car theft games, sure. It's a good one combined with Hong Kong crime drama and Kung Fu action.
  22. I'm playing Napping Canids. But I think I'm going to take a break before repetitive burnout sets in. What to play, what to play. Maybe Chains of Satinav?
  23. Challenge should come from the enemies, preferably from their tactics and and environments, not from the control system being limited.
  24. Nobody's ever going to implement it because that console would be DOA.
  25. Because GTA is boring as heck. But I'm liking Sleeping Dogs for the combat.
