Storyline Theory
I'm not sure, but was Exar Kun even a represenative of the Sith Empire? I was under the impression that Exar Kun was turned by the ghost of Naga Sadow but never actually met any othre living Sith from the real Sith Empire.

Storyline Theory
By real Sith I meant the actual Empire, not the species. Also, I believe it was said somewhere that they had a had a storyline for a second KotOR before KotOR was even released.

Storyline Theory
I've been playing through KotOR yet again and came across some dialogue that I found interesting: Canderous states that the whole reason the Mandalorians attacked the Republic was because the Sith approached them with the offer to fight a worthy enemy in a battle that would be remembered forever. Since this occured before the Mandalorian War had even started then Revan and Malak were still apprentices, and had not fallen to the Darkside yet. Canderous later tells you that the Sith retreated quietly back into their Empire shortly before the outbreak of the Mandalorian War. From the EU we know that the Sith Empire existed beyond the reaches of Republic space, on the extreme Outer Rim. So who were these Sith? Now, look at the whole story so far (the war against Exar Kun, the Mandalorian War, the war against Revan and Malak) from an entirely strategic point of view. The Sith Empire (not Revan and Malak, the real Sith) persuaded the Mandalorians to start a war with the Republic, which was already weak after the war against Exar Kun. The Mandalorian War further weakened it. Then the saviours of the Republic fall to the Darkside and start yet another war against it. That three very violent conflicts against the Republic in just 50 years. I think that the Sith Empire engineered the Mandalorian War, then used the opportunity presented to turn Revan and Malak, causing yet another war. After Malak is defeated the Republic is right on the brink of collapse practically. The Sith Empire has managed to leave the Republic practically defenceless and pathetically weak without even revealing its existance and raising a finger. I think these are the Sith you fight in TSL, having moved in to crush the weakened Republic shortly after the events of KotOR. Seems much more like Sith cunning and intelligence than Malak was. Sorry for the long post. Any thoughts?

DVD version
I'm fine with either, although I admit DVDs have many advantages if you have a DVD player on your PC (I do).

R.I.P. HK-47
Oops, sry typo. Mix of options 1 and 3. No droid will ever be badder than HK-47. You are defiling something sacred and diminishing it by saying otherwise

***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 2 : THE SITH LORDS FAQ***
I have a question: Why is the X-Box version only being released in N. America only in December? I realise why the X-Box version is being released first (grrr....Microsoft...grrr.....), but why quarantine the X-Box game to the U.S.A and Canada? P.S. I'm a PC gamer, so it doesn't really affect me, just curious.

Unarmed built in?
*Sniff sniff* I smell sarcasm I think only the Guardian gets it as a free feat (of the base classes). It is the combat specialist after all.

How many playthroughs of KOTOR?
I've lost count.

R.I.P. HK-47
They wouldn't dare to kill off HK-47 within the first hour of the game, because they know there will be a very angry mob knocking on their door if they do HK-47 is a god. He cannot die. He is second only to Revan. Revan doesn't need an apprentice. He has HK. Period.

Much Ado About Lightsaber Forms
What about duel-wielding lightsabers or double-bladed sabers? Can the forms be used with these or are they just singled out, with only a basic skill tree available in them? Also, are they making the duel-wield and double-sided sabers different feats this time? They are totally different styles of fighting so I thnk they should be.

Need some distraction...!
I second Lord Satasn. Do something different. My personal recommendation is music Go to some concerts, learn an instrument, have a good time. Lord Satasn: whats your band called? What style of music you play? Nice to find another musician on the boards.

Training an apprentice
I think it stems from the fact that the majority of Hayden's lines were nauseatingly cliche. The man had barely anything to work with. Credit where credits due, he did well for what he was given to work with. Hopefully Revenge of the Sith will give him an opportunity to show how good an actor he really is.

Light Side Powers
The Lightside doesn't need offensive powers. The whole point of it, as someone has already pointed out, is that the Lightside augments and improves defence. Besides, you try using Master Valour and Master Speed and then introducing an enemy to the sharp end of your lightsaber.

Much Ado About Lightsaber Forms
Here is the website for a longer description of the different Lightsaber Combat Forms. Jedi Archives I'll probably find out all I can about the in-game differences before I pick techniques, although I like the look of Forms IV, V, and VII - Ataru, Shien, and Juyo/Vaapad.

Prestige Classes
I'll play through all the Prestige classes, but I'll play through first as a Guardian - Jedi Weapons Master. Lightsaber addiction
