KOTOR 2 SITE COMING NOV 15
Catalyst replied to Obi-Wan Kenobi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You know, I've often wondered the same thing.... It's too easy to make information up on the net. -
Is there an Option to Recharge Items
Catalyst replied to Jeremiah's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I collected Thermal Detonators like they were going out of fashion :D They were by far the best grenade. Ion grenades were redundant after you gained the Destroy Droid Force Power. Just out of curiosity, what did mines do? Trip the next unsuspecting schmuck who walked down the street? -

The only things I really hoarded were Jedi things like robes, lightsabers, crystals, etc and grenades. I didn't use things like stims or implants at all, and I failed to see the point of mines. -
America wasn't worth the effort of keeping it in the Empire Americans...

It would be cool if we could talk to the spirit of Freedon Nadd on Dxun, Exar Kun on Yavin IV, or any of the ancient Sith Lords on Korriban. Maybe we'll get to do the same sort of thing as Exar Kun did when he visited Korriban, where he went through all those trials set by the ancient Sith Lord ghosts in the Valley of the Dark Lords.

Enough of the Ewoks <_< I think the Dev's have been changing the storyline constantly because we have guessed it too often :D Also, wouldn't MSG be MSL if he/she (no I'm not going to add an Ewok option) was female? Hmm...

Sith Lords Searching For You?
Catalyst replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You're a former Jedi. Killing Jedi is what the Sith do, at least on rainy days when theres nothing better to do. Even a single Jedi could reform the Jedi Order (like Luke did) and then the Sith would have to go about the whole massacre fiasco again. -
Lol I want to see both planets. Any planet that is new or improved I want to see.

*Cough* Moving on.... I don't really know enough about Bao-Dur yet but from what I've seen he should be a good character. The idea of him performing as some sort of blacksmith/fighter seems to click with him for some reason but thats only my opinion.

Hell, while we're at it lets add 'Welcome to the Jungle' for Dxun, and I'm sure I'll find somewhere to fit 'Stairway to Heaven' in there somewhere :D I didn't think that the score for KotOR was that bad tbh. Okay so it didn't match the classics from the films, but lets be honest - not much can. As long as they manage the right blend of classic and new material it should be good.

For there to be balance there must be both a Lightside and a Darkside. Or neither. Dooku left the Jedi Order because he felt that the Jedi wasted their talent serving an institution as corrupt as the Republic. As Mace Windu put it: "Dooku is a political idealist". Dooku started out as an idealist, and left the Order with the best of intentions, but he was corrupted along the way by Sidious. I can't really say whether Dooku/Tyranus was a Sith or a Dark Jedi, because I don't know enough about him and whether he fully embraced the Sith ideals. If he did then he was a true Sith. If not then he was merely a Dark Jedi. And for the record Obi-Wan Kenobi is a badass and certainly deserves Master status.

If the musical score is good, then turning it down would be a waste. The musical score adds to the experiance of the game IMO. Not that I'd complain if the score included some Led Zeppelin or Guns N' Roses, it just has to be in theme...

Tbh I didn't use the shields much in KotOR, except on Taris, with I thought was one of the best levels in the whole game. If you use shields more often though I can see why it would be useful to be able to recharge them, especially if you find a very useful shield (Echani Melee Shield, etc) and it runs out on you. In which case you can recharge it as soon as you reach an appropriate point in the game (the next settled area for example). -
Revan will not appear as ghost for one simple reason: he is immortal :D Revan cannot die without another glorious sequence with him in, I refuse to admit it he can be killed in any way that isn't earthshaking. I liked the appearance of the Force ghost at the tomb in Korriban in KotOR (can't remember the guys name). It added some mythos to the storyline. I hope Korrriban features a few more, and hopefully Dxun.

Will PC users avoid the forums till Kotor2 is out?
Catalyst replied to will_990's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'm a UK PC player so I hope to God that the release of the PC version is universal. I might promise myself that I won't come on the boards but, at the this point, I have to be honest with myself and say I probably will sneak on from time to time. If the mods come up with a fool-proof way to indicate spoilers then I would be most happy to continue frequenting the boards. If they don't I'll probably just come on as little as possible until I have the game installed. -
what game will you be playing
Catalyst replied to KoToRfReAk's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Rome: Total War, Jedi Academy Online, Morrowind, and just before TSL is released KotOR possibly. -
 I think the Wookie might be a slave. Like the Empire used them to build the Death Stars.

I think he means he learn what moves Sion uses, his force powers, and tailor his own to be able to combat them efficiently. Sounds a bit stupid since there are 3 Sith Lords, not just Sion, but thats just my opinion. I'll have to see Peragus before I judge it. I thought Korriban would be ace in the first game and I was disappointed.

Jedi Weapons Master/Sith Marauder I love lightsabers too much.

Nothing new for most of us, but thanks for the link Craftsman.

The Ebon Hawk was alright I thought, but the referene to the Falcon was way too obvious. Personally I'd like a whole fleet of Mon-Calamari starcruisers (the Rebel ships from RotJ). Failing that I'd like a single Mon-Calamari starcruiser. And failing that I'd settle for my own slick little ship that wasn't pieced together by a 4 yr old with cardboard, superglue and red spray paint.

I found Manaan a very irritating level when I wasn't in the Sith base killing anything that moved. The best levels in my opinion were Endar Spire (yes I know...but it had more character than alot of the other levels), Leviathan, Taris and perhaps the Unknown World. These were the only levels I felt had been properly fleshed out. Tatooine was plain boring, and didn't really feel like you expected from the films, in fact I could have sworn I was on a bad Tatooine copy most of the time. Dantooine was quite good, but the Sandral-Matale fued ruined the level <_< Kashyyyk was quite good aswell, but didn't the lack of the option to shove my lightsabers up Chundar's runty little ass disappointed me, and aside from this was alright as a level. Korriban, which is the birth place of the Sith, was a big disapppointment. Judging from what we've seen so far it looks like Korriban will be much better this time around, far darker and more sinister. Korriban looked more like a hangout for losers to me. I wanted lots of priest-like, robed sith with hoods up (etc, etc, etc) being quiet and sinister. Instead I got loud-mouthed Lashowe thrust in my face when I first arrived. Manaan was just tedious really. Far too much time running from place to place in order to get things done. Once you got into the Sith base it was much better. My big beef with the levels is that, despite their being an enormous galaxy-spanning war happening, everyone looked like they were on a holiday camp, and there were no pieces where you walk straight into the middle of a battle between the Sith and the Republic/Jedi. Since TSL is supposed to be a lot darker I hope this is going to be fixed. My second rant is on the 'evil' choices. I've said it all before so I won't bore you all by saying it again. *collective sigh of relief from everyone on the boards* Sorry for the long post, and anyone who read it all deserves a medal (no I don't have any to spare at the moment, sorry).
