  1. Does anyone know if the Saber Forms alter your stance (such as the uber cool scorpion stance that Revan used)?
  2. Got to agree with you there. Stylish weapons though they undoubtedly are, I favour the use of a single saber or dual sabers.
  3. You can backpedal without being on the defencive. Swordplay relies on balance and footwork as much as skill with a sword. And at any point in a fight both sides can be attacking and defending, irrevlavent of who is parrying, etc. All one of the combatants must do is manage to remain in balance while moving forward into attacking manouver from his opponent - difficult, but not impossible, particularly if you can see your opponent's attacks before they happen. In swordplay, footwork is everything.
  4. Lornarion, Dakeyras, Nagarian, Ereinion, Nevaro Pick one.
  5. Its the screenshot of the week on Lucasarts official site.
  6. I thin it should be a separate feat, as fighting with a double bladed weapon is far different from using dual weapons. Also, mastering such fighting styles take years of hard work and dedication, and even then not everyone can use them. The dual and double weapons should be far harder to master, although mastering them would give bonuses, and they should have separate feats.
  7. No big man, don't worry about it. Just delete the other topics. Its in the moderator options at the bottom left. Good theory btw. Even if its not true it was an enjoyable little deviance.
  8. I've finished my exams :D Got them all over with in one big nightmare of a week. Now I think I'll play Fire Warrior...oh, no wait, my copy is rubbish and refuses to install. Control the anger.....
  9. I have indeed. Haven't played it though. Limited amount of free time you see....
  10. I'm also from the UK, and yes I'm looking forward to the game. But I'm not gonna hold my breath, I've got plenty to do till its released (curse the man who invented exams, and thrice curse the man who arranged my exam timetable).
  11. True neutrality is impossible to play in a game. You can mix Light and Dark, but its not true grey. Whether or not 'Grey' exists in Star Wars at all, well I'll leave you to argue it out.
  12. I also read the spoilers by DarthRavok. If I knew where that guy lived..... That guy needs to be banned. Permanently. He has no place on the boards. His IP should be banned aswell. I have no tolerance for people like him.
  13. Revan killed the old Mandalore.
  14. I must sadly concur. It is far more challenging and entertaining when enemies use actualy tactics.
  15. Some people can be very immersive about the roleplaying experiance... :D
  16. I always imagined Revan as a male Lightsider, but kindof rogue, following the Light, but not bowing and scraping for the Jedi Council, doing his own thing. But this is just what I imagined him as. This is a roleplaying game. Everyone's Revan is different (though I also imagined him as a military genius - its in his backstory).
  17. A classic  :D Forgive my philosophising (and quoting).
  18. The prequel gave the appearance of Jedi being common, which is one of my beefs with it. Aside from that (and Jar Jar Binks) my favourite periods are the Original Trilogy and the Prequel Trilogy (depending on Ep 3).
  19. You may still exist, but you will have ceased to live.
  20. Please, please do not bring religion into this. Anyone. Please.
  21. The only way to remain grey is to be neutral. This means taking no stance, no opinion, no action. Maybe you can live like that in real life, but in a game it is simply impossible. The Light/Dark meter in the KotOR series simplified the issue into the overt dark and light choices. To remain grey in KotOR you have to mix them, but this does not make you a true neutral or 'grey' character.
  22. The only SW I consider official is the movies. The vast majority of the EU is filled with ridiculously powerful uber-characters, as each author tries to out-do the other in how powerful their characters are.
  23. Best is too vague a term. What do you mean? Power? Potential? Swordsmanship? Knowledge? Anakin had the most potential of any Force wielder, and yes that includes the characters from the EU. The EU uber-characters don't hold very much credibility for me, as it is much to easy to create an all powerful demi-god like Exar Kun in a book, without paying enough attention to the whole picture. Each Jedi had their own strengths and weaknesses, same with the Sith. Last thought: I think this is the 12th 'Best ever Jedi/Sith' poll I have seen in the last month or so.
  24. I don't think he's suggesting there are no bugs, just that many of them have been exaggerated. Also, it is possible to misunderstand the storyline, as english is notorious as a language for ambiguity (though I agree, for so many people to misunderstand is suprising). I'll have to wait and play the game for myself before I give any concrete opinions on the actual game.
