  1. She is a really good friend. Completely unlike our Watcher. Such a good friend that she completely and permanently ditched me for praying at a shrine as a Priest.
  2. Pyrite seems less rare and more just inconsistent In one playthrough i had a dozen of the things before even reaching Nekataka, but in another playthrough i couldn't find any at all
  3. Maybe you can try to one-shot him with an assassin of your own?
  4. Had a pale-white skin and a thousand yard stare? I miss Grieving Mother
  5. Uh RDC solves everything with murder and their canons, they are like that giant bully with overwhelming firepower that wants to colonize everything. Sure... Sure... But they give you a submarine. That's a big plus.
  6. Exactly, it's just a matter of personal preference whom to choose. Personally, I didn't like the cop out no-faction choice or the Principi as it's terrible for the region and unhelpful to whoever would wish to study Ukaizo for the Wheel fixing. So for me it's the Vailian Republics because: 1)Pallegina is my buddy; 2)Their animancy resereachers are the best in the world; 3)They're not stuck in outdated traditions, believe that trade brings progress and don't have to resort to military force to conquer other nations. Mhmmm, the Vaillians seem like the Fallout's NCR in Deadfire, with their bureaucracy and whatnot, though there's no Caesar's Legion to make the choice easier, as the RDC is nowhere near is mustache-twirling as those guys. Probably not the worst choice. I don't like Pallegina though, so...
  7. Yea, the Republics and their animancers so far are the best bet at fixing it (if you choose them), judging from the ending slides. That may leave a door open for Pallegina to return. I like the animancers in the second game, but siding with the Republics... i don't know. Anyone knows how to get a good ending with Pallegina without siding with the Republics? I don't want to get her banished again, but I'd rather help the Huana (for all their faults) or go solo. Both Republics and Rauatai have slavery, and that is something thats a no-go for me. And the Huana with their Roparu-slaves is any better? All the factions are terrible in their own rights.
  8. Oh, i swear, there's also a god damn Lightsaber in the game. A Sabre that deals raw damage. Animancer's Energy Blade. I **** you not. And it's as cool as it sounds. Though, i don't think it starts off as "Legendary" quality. You get it as loot from one of the mercs that attack the animancer tower in Sacred Stairs, when you come back after the second experiment.
  9. I knowww, I have 20 of them in my inventory and I can't bring myself to sell them. I never sell unique items, i just hoard them. I get more than enough gold selling fine/exceptional trash loot.
  10. Argh, there's too many Unique swords! From Modwyr to Whispers of Yenwood to the Watcher's Blade, i don't have enough arms to wield all of them at the same time! I'm, sadly, not General Grievous. (You find the Watcher's blade / Ordinary Sword in Oathbinder's Sanctum, if i recall correctly)
  11. I didn't like her in the first game and i still don't like her in Deadfire. It's also really funny how easy it is to piss her off so much that she just straight up leaves you, no ifs, no buts. I didn't even notice how quickly i got her to -2 by playing my more pious Priestly character. I don't think she even got to go on board my ship, before leaving me, she got pissed THAT quickly. I miss Durance.
  12. #UnpopularOpinion, but i think that Serafen is an awful companion. Awful stats, boring quest and he's the most clichéd character in any Obsidian game i've ever played (seriously, he's like the most stereotypical pirate archetype ever, except that he's a hairy smurf)
  13. Honestly, i cant even force myself to play through the game a second time, i've played through the first game with multiple characters, different builds, different choices, hell, managed to find new things still on my 3rd or 4th playthroughs, but here... I don't know. I feel like i've already seen everything, done everything on my first playthrough. Tried doing a second one, but it just became a slog, i don't even know how to describe it. Maybe it's the 'open-world'esque map, maybe it's the completely unengaging main story, but this might be the first Obsidian game i might end up shelving after a single playthrough... Maybe once the DLCs come out, but i don't know...
  14. Eh, i remember using this portrait in PoE 1, since there literally was a hood like that in White March (drops from some bandit, if i recall correctly). Shame there's nothing like it in Deadfire. At least i couldn't find it. But i guess that's the problem when you base your character around a hat and not look for a hat that fits the character.
  15. She bugged, she's supposed to have dialogues where we can talk to her. Is she? Didn't Josh say that she's not supposed to have standalone dialogue (only companion banter) on the Q&A? Working as intended if that's the case. So, her being a cardboard cut out with no reactivity isn't a bug, it's a feature.
  16. Liar! not bias..yeah right ! Such accusation will not stand but you're fortunate that the law of this board prevent me from using Serafen language or I will get my post deleted and a warning point. I say we need a special location for Vela. A pool of some sort. Bright red in color. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2pmcAjvWYQ
  17. To be perfectly honest, i think i'd rather have had the "She died a horrible death when Eothas sucked out everyone's souls - you babynapping monster" At least we'd have more motivation to actually chase Eothas down instead of the current motivation of "well, there's nothing else left to do, so i might as well go find the jolly green giant"
  18. How did you do that? I assume you used the console; what commands did you use? I've been using AddAbility to add a subclass, but it doesn't show up the way yours does. I didn't use console Just try it in this order: select multiclass -> Berath/Skaen priest -> Paladin, don't pick subclass. And you are good to go
  19. Orlan girl would be so boring because the personality you can give them really won't fit the whole look of a wild fuzzy furry creature all orlan gives. Pretty much every Orlan girl we met from PoE 1 to PoE 2 to are rowdy type. The only way to break this mold is to make the female Orlan super dark and edgy or something and they usually score low on popularity char for a reason. The only way to stick to the successful recipe is to make it a female nature godlike orlan who has wacky loves for tree and animals but we all know how well Xoti is received. Big tiddy Orlan Goth GF? Want. Better if it's an aumaua because they are large enough they can also snoo snoo.

  21. Eh, i've always preferred casters with a universal 'mana' system myself, i just find the whole "being able to cast x 1st level spells, x 2nd level spells, x 3rd level spells"
  22. Welp, i guess i'm off to romance Xoti now, cause i can't unhear it now. On a more on-topic note, i don't mind any accents in games or media at all. I'm a non-native English speaker and probably sound closer to someone with a speech impediment than an 'accent', so it'd be really hypocritical of me to judge anyone else by their accents.
