You know what? I'm kinda disappointed. I mean, we're getting possible romance with companions in PoE 2, but GRIEVING MOTHER ISN'T RETURNING?!... What? I'd totally romance her.

I, honestly, think that there simply should've been a few more options to end the quest. Like for example, instead of having the looters take the "rotting clothes" or whatnot, you coulda given them some coin (kinda how in pretty much every stronghold guest's request, you can just throw coins at the problem until it fixes itself), or maybe even let teh PC to be honest and tell the merchant that he let the looters go (which would cause the merchant to no longer wish to do business with the player). You know? The whole choices and consequences thing.

What would you guys think about summoned magical whips? As some sort of "ranged" melee weapons? I mean, it could easily function just like any other melee weapon just with the "extended reach" stat. Kinda like the laser whip from Johnny Mnemonic (yes, i do realize the difference between sci-fi and fantasy, just replace the laser part of it with good ol' magical flame) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeO_vuhMM9o

I assume this guy was strung up and left hanging from the nearest tree? Or nailed to a cross? Guy needs to die. That's a bit harsh, isn't it? I mean, if they make a Dwarf companion that isn't the same as every other Dwarf companion in literally every other fantasy story, then go for it. But if it's like, the same ale-chugging, axe-wielding dorf that we've seen so many of already, i don't see a point in it.

I always preferred "backstabbing" with a blunderbuss, myself.

To be honest, i've never been a huge fan of Dwarves in fantasy settings (and in Pillars, i found the Orlan to be a much more interesting race than the Dwarves), but i did like Sagani... I'd rather see something weird and unique like an Ogre companion (tell me you wouldn't like a guy carrying around ship's cannon for a weapon!) or maybe even a Vithrack companion! It's just that Dwarves are so... Generic.

I, for one, really liked the more authentic looking armor of PoE 1. I much prefer that over nonsensical fantasy armors, that are so horribly designed, you'd be better off wearing nothing at all! I especially loved the inclusion of gambesons (or Padded armor), though, i would love to have them expanded upon in PoE 2. Like for example, i'd love to see a gambeson with jack chains, as maybe a heavier variant of "Padded armor". Jack chains were a sort of arm-guards that were used in combination with gambesons.
