Some of my own favourite music comes from Arcanum; It's all pretty heavy on the violin, and is somewhat depressing, though hopeful. Just like the game itself. It's dark, sexist, racist and you start of as a nobody. Damn....I really do love that game. Ain't no other taking up the Num 1. spot any time soon! I love sad violins Did you finish a 'judge' school in the last 5 minutes? Cuz'....uhh......you be...judging? And...stuff.....*sighs and crossed out another failed comeback joke* No, i mean, i genuinely like sad violins.

Nomu the Marauder
Juodas Varnas replied to Melusina's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Abocco in the wild mare should be it, i think Though, i had issues with the Bounty giver NPCs literally disappearing from my game (like the one in the Serpent's Crown, next to the pet vendor). So i ended up not being able to complete a whole bunch of the bounties. And i'm 99.999999% sure i didn't murder the quest givers! -
First character i played was a Pure Priest and i was having massive issues getting through most of the encounters in the game (probably because Eder had died on the ship during the first fight of the game and i just assumed he'll turn up later and not be actually dead for real). Then i rerolled into a Barbarian/Skald and basically smashed everything everywhere and then paralyze everyone and then smash everything else, while constantly dealing raw damage to everyone around me. But i didn't feel like it. Then i rerolled into a pure Rogue Trickster and it was even easier! I basically could solo almost any encounter by just sneaking up, doing massive damage to someone, turning invisible and running off. Then rinse and repeat until everyone is dead. And with the Trickster's mirrored image, parrying dagger modal, the Rogue was tough as nails (second wind is insanely OP instant heal too) and if the fight was going badly, i could just escape into invisibility and retry.

Aye, the music felt a tad generic for my tastes. I honestly, must preferred the music in the recently released Battletech game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-4svr0-kUc

Why would anyone judge? Maia's the best of the lot in Deadfire (Grieving Mother is still better darn it!) Honestly, for me, one of the biggest nitpicks i had that i was sometimes railroaded into specific dispositions by simply not having neutral options, i was playing this "benevolent ****" archetype by being a pretty decent guy, but shady as hell, however i ended up maxing out pretty much every disposition except for cruel. Like, if i'm playing a pathologically lying pacifist, what am i supposed to pick when the only options are "honest" or "aggressive"? Also, wish there was more interaction with Vella apart from that single dialogue option at the very start of the bloody game.

I ended up going with Aeldys' ruled Principi and none of my companions left ( i was romancing Maia, so maybe that's the reason why she didn't leave?), had to fight the Hazanui on deactivating the mcguffin, but she didn't seem to react to me killing her boss, so whatever. The worst part is that i didn't get too keep the Ghost Ship. Really pissed about that. Though the ending slides were kinda effed, took me a while to realize that i basically ****ed Port Maje and Tikiwara by completing Maia's quest. Kinda feel bad about it. Now i'm wondering if i can purposefully **** that quest up, without pissing Maia off.

Well, in my playthrough i had Xoti not romanced (had my eyes set on Maia) and released the souls into luminous adra and she wasn't especially nutty. She did start screeching at Pallegina the first time i took them out together, but you know... Women, how do they work?

Hmm, I suppose it depends on what skills the companions start with points invested in. I do know that party contribution to skills functions like this: Total party points/contribution to skill check person 1/1 2/2 4/3 7/4 So for example if you have two NPCs that each have one point in Alchemy, that's a total of 2 points, and you get an additional 2 points to your skill check. You start to lose efficiency at 3 points and beyond. God, that's such a weird bloody system. So the best way is to have 2s on everyone and everything? No it's total. You want your whole party total to have 7 to get the +4 bonus. I don't get it.
