This was news to me so I figure it may be useful to some of you as well. The shift codes Gearbox give away through facebook and twitter have a fairly long lifespan and all the pc codes listed here worked for me just now and I have 19 extra gold keys.

I think that's the first time I've ever heard someone say something positive about the Retribution campaign. Did you ever play Chaos Rising? If not you should try to pick it up the next time it's on sale because it's campaign blows Retribution out of the water in almost every way.

Didn't it already work twice? Wasn't Heavy Rain a successor to Fahrenheit? I'm not sure, they're not my thing so I never checked. I disagree with the whole direction anyway - I'm sick of game devs who want to make movies. If you want to tell your story write a book or make a movie, in a game the player is your co-writer and you should allow them to make the meaningful choices as to where the story goes. You say that but in my opinion it's a new genre that developers are still getting to grips with and the moment someone makes one of these games with story and direction on par with a highly acclaimed movie or television show then the whole process will have been more than worthwhile. I think that when one of these games does include real branches rather than forcing everyone down the same railroad it's going to reap big rewards, but then again adventure games have almost always railroaded players and still manage to be loved by a sizable fanbase so I don't know if it's ever going to be vital. Another benefit not to be overlooked is that this is a genre that can easily work without any violent content and seriously delve into stories about romance, tragedy, comedy ect. in a way that other game types couldn't hope to. And the advantages over a film are that you can actually be in the story effecting things and you can actually see other ways the story can go. Some stories may work better as interactive games than straight-up-movies, I imagine something like The Thing where you're stuck in a room with a number of people and wondering who the monster is might be even more atmospheric for example. I think there's a lot of untapped potential and that it's worth exploring even if they're not for everyone.

Prometheus was underappreciated. The plight of the bald should not be forgotten. Also there are supposedly going to be some tie-ins with so I'm very much looking forward to seeing what direction they're taking the Engineers.

Assassin's Creed 3 ending spoilers

Diana Allers basically fills in the role of Emily Wong (and a lot of people seem to hate her although I didn't find her more annoying than any of the other characters). If you take her with you then you get a couple of conversation scenes and a shallow romance. Othewise she's like Kasumi and Zaeed in ME2 in that she can't be interacted with except for her specific big conversations. I think there are also some extra banter lines from her and other members of the Normandy crew if she's aboard and you also get some war assest points which have a very minor effect on the ending. You won't miss much from not taking her with you but ME3 is mostly about the accumulated little things, so I'd suggest if by reloading you only have to replay a half hour of exploring the citadel it's probably worth it, if you've already left the citadel and done missions then just forget about her.

Okay, thanks. I look forward to seeing it

Is that in any way a story spoiler or just a side-thing I can watch without it ruining the plot for me? I really ought to get around to finishing BL2

Bioware fans always seem so insensitive.

The whole show is actually on youtube. It's called Robin Williams - Weapons of Self Destruction and it's brilliant from start to finish.

Is there anyone that woman hasn't slept with?

I was wondering something and figured this was the right thread. How does someone actually eat one of those massive stack burgers? It seems like you'd have to either seperate layers which would be really messy or dislocate your jaw like a python. Is there a trick to it?

Well you really ought to remember because upper right, middle right and lower right are what changes the nature of a man.

You guys should check the forecasts before booking the trip, the whole of the UK have been having some lousy weather lately including flooding in various parts and Scotland usually takes the brunt of our bad weather.

Making bullets the primary form of currency was a great game mechanic as well. As if having enough bullets to survive wasn't worry enough, you really consider every shot when you know you're going to need spare ammo to barter for better guns and air filters later.
