  1. For each class (going on what is set out in the game) their would be two sith lords/dark lords of the sith, the master and the aprentice. As I said above each would more than likely have their own region of space to control along with their own army and when the opertunity came along where they could knock off their rival they would in order to take his/her teritory and army for their own. Since the sith aren't a faction but merely a group that share's in one belief (that belives that only the strong shall survive) it wouldn't be possible for their to be only one sith lord. The thing is that in the time period of KOTOR there would be many sith lords since its something like 3000 years before darth bane. For the rule of two to happen it took the near exstinction of the sith for that rule to be possible. Darth Bane was the only survivor and he realized that the sith couldn't continue to survive with the constent in fighting, so thats why he started the whole rule of two (as far as I know anyway someone with more knownledge of EU please correct me if I am wrong).
  2. are there any pics of this woman on the net, scanned from the mag... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bring on the picts, I would like to see what she looks like. No; because each would control their own region of space and armies, and would try to knock off others in order to gain more space and with it power.
  3. We have yet to be told exactly how many sith lords there will be the best answer we were given was something to the effect that "the number will change depending on how the game plays out!" which could mean that they are counting the PC as a sith lord or maybe one of the party members can become one we wont know until the release date.
  4. Just currious here and maybe someone could answer, if LA is trying to keep the ties to the Starwars D20 (of which I know nothing really) couldn't they just update the rule set to include the modifications that are needed to re-balance the jedi classes, so that during a game like KOTOR they will play out differently? I know its kind of a simple question but wouldn't that solve the problem to atleast some degree?
  5. You do know the search function works right? I mean if you did a search you would find a topic on this that was done maybe a week ago. I know I was the first to mention the idea of a speacial crystal (the one that bonds with the owner) being found in the PC's lightsaber (in the one thread anyway ).
  6. All I was meaning by saying that they are like a cop was that they were obligated to interject and try to stop the violence by whatever means, most times cops can get around killing (like a jedi) but sometimes they must kill in order to protect the peace (also like a jedi).
  7. As far as moral and legal concerns go, there is no difference between 'aggressive defense' and aggression itself. You see some punk in the street trying to mug/rape/kill a girl, you step in and break his back. Guess who's going to jail? " But you are missing the point. There are other forms of using the Force that don't involve harming others. If a Jedi chooses the aggresive one over the harmlessl one, he's giving in to the dark side. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> acctually thats not entirely true, saying that you know the woman who is being attacked the law would allow excessive force to be used in stopping the person hurting her, mainly due to the extreme emotional distress caused by seeing someone you care about being hurt. This is why they created the defense of Temporairy(sp?) insanity (canadian law anyway). Now to bring this back on topic, A jedi is the self proclaimed protectors of the universe thus if they saw a person being hurt it would be the same as a cop seeing it so they would be obligated to inervein in order to protect said person even if it ment calling on the darkside in order to protect that person. Though they wouldn't do it unless there wasn't anyother way to avoid the person who is being attacked from getting it hurt or killed.
  8. force form? que? someone care to fill me in on this...? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Same here, this is the first time that i heard about it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The above quote is taken from the IGN lightsabers interveiw done on Nov 4.
  9. Akari has said that Marr and the Handmaiden are not the same person, But I read in a thread yesterday that Marr was a member of the Krath (whether or not thats true we don't know for sure... yet).
  10. My guess would be that since there was too many different ways a person could have played they will pick the simplest. LS: everyone lives (inc. Bastila) DS: the droids, canderous and Bastila live, everyone else dies.
  11. I would like to know what happened to the characters in KOTOR, While I would like to meet them in TSL, if killing them in the five years between the game will help develope the plot in a sufficent way then by all means KILL THEM!!! but if its just being done in order to close the chapter on the original KOTOR story then I will be (as I imagine the rest of you will be) REALLY PISSED!!!. I really don't want them as party NPCs, mainly because if they are going to give me some old NPCs why not just give me all of them and let me continue with my old party on a new adventure? I know this is suppost to be a whole new game with a whole new story and I like what I have seen so far, I just wish we could know for sure that one they aren't going to go and kill off everyone (minus T3 ofcourse because he has been confirmed by devs as coming back) and secondly that they aren't going to be forcing lamer old NPCs like say mission or zalabar on the new game (before anyone says that mission was useful you should know I never used her past taris and found her quite useless in battle). Yes, but not Bastilla...sob...sob... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you do realize that you can redeem Bastila correct? "
  12. Thanks for the info, greatly appreciated.
  13. The problem is we don't know how fast they grow, I mean they could be 13 but be adult size. So to just use how human children develope as a standard wouldn't fit (since this is a fantasy species in a fantasy univerese after all).
  14. Force Crush: Crushes an enemy into a little squishy ball. Force Crush Opposition: Evil battle meditation, from the sounds of it anyway.
  15. First off I didn't star this thread to star a flame war (also how can this be star a war between the two when its possible that neither will have what some would consider interesting additons?)! I have both PC and Xbox and intended to purchase both versions IF I could get DLC on the PC version (since its not offered on the xbox and does't require to subscribe to live to get it).
  16. The last gamespy article with Feargus, Though I think he was meaning they had moved it not removed it the person who wrote the articla screwed up.
  17. OK I understand now. thanks.
  18. Since I know nothing about D20 and will freely admit that, and since I have no reason to not take you at your word on this, I will simply agree. Though I am still not positive as to why (saying canderous and Mandalore are one in the same) that they would use him, because it would just suck ass if everytime you met someone from kotor that they were low level again. because that would also mean that revan could be a low level character if you were to meet him/her in the early stages of the game. Akari confirmed that "mandalore" IS THE MANDALORE!!! because someone asked much the same question in one of the weekend developer threads (i.e. if mandalore was really mandalore or if he was just some mandalorian whos name they couldn't release yet).
  19. The darksaide all the way! I would love it if in the game we were given the option to destroy an entire planet in order to kill one jedi. If not then I guess I would have to go lightside so I can purge the galaxy of the sith threat
  20. Nope the publisher is LucasArts not microsoft.
  21. Not too sound stupid or anything but couldn't the original mask have been destroyed in the battle with revan? or even lost during the very same battle? Now with that out of the way, I have to ask agian since the last time I asked no one answered me which leaves me to belive that either no one knowns or I am correct. But the mantle of Mandalore, doesn't it get pasted to the person most deserving (i.e. the person who can best the prior mandalore in battle) or should the last mandalore die in battle against someone other than a mandalorian the mask would go to the next strongest mandalorian (proven either through battle or in a battle royal between those who belive they deserve the right of mandalore). If this is the case then Canderous should be the strongest mandalorian in the whole galaxy since at the end of KOTOR he would have been between level 16 and level 20 (all depending on how high you leveled him and when you last used him). So to just rule him out as being the one true mandalore doesn't make sense though I guess some people will be disspleased no matter how Obsidian chose to handle this, Because there will be people out there who will be upset if Mandalore is Canderous and some who will be pissed because if he isn't. I personally think that Canderous IS mandalore and with the game only 3 weeks away I can't wait to find out for sure. Though there is one problem with canderous being mandalore and thats the fact that if he is in fact mandalore that would mean that we wouldn't be able to have him in our party till much later in the game than most of us would like (more than likely after we get the prestige class), since he would still be a high level character in the TSL.
  22. Feargus' Gamespy Interveiw
  23. It doesn't make much sense if he decided to leave his old life of killing by becoming... the Mandalore, does it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> unless he is planning to bring about a new age for the mandalorian clans. Then it would make a little more sense but not a great deal.
  24. Even if the PC can't get a tattoo it would still be cool to pick different ones for different crew members.
  25. jsut look at Malak, Uthar, an Yathura for an idea of what sith tats would look like. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But Malak had that tattoo when he was still a Jedi, I think. Plus Revan would have to had some but where were they? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But even saying malak had them when he was a jedi, you could still look at bandon for an example of tats.... he did have one didn't he? I forget.... anyway unthar had tats and so did yathura.
