Darth Sidious and Palpatine
Dark Wanderer replied to Darth Sun_Tzu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't think so; Palpatine was probably the first, but we all knows that Sith can survive for quite some time as spirits after their death. But the closest to Palpatine's example I know of would be the ghost/spirit of Marka Ragnos, who possesess Tavion near the end of Jedi Academy (LS scenario) -
Indeed! :D. Anyway, since I'll probably be a DS on my first playthrough, I'll also try to make my apparentice, if we do get one, into a DS...

Bored of KOTOR 1? Will it be the same?

They're a must in any Star Wars game :D :D :D -
Info for the egg-heads.

Interesting, but I think the powers we'll gain from the prestige classes will be quite different from what is displayed here... -

Thats sort've why I liked it. It was odd. It messed with my head. Plus, I loved the opening music. Actually, I remember its creator saying in an interview, that there wasn't really an overeaching plot. There was nothing to piece together. It was done to show how those connected to Internet were gradually becoming disconnected from their families and those around them. Oh, nothing wrong with the OP. It was a very good one Ah, I see... Makes a little more sense, then . But I still have other animes I prefer before Lain :D -
Would you play from the Sith point of view?
Dark Wanderer replied to Atreides's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Why would it be that stupid? I don't know much about Exar Kun, but I don't think it'd be impossible to make a game whose timeline is during his rule as the Dark Lord of the Sith. We could play the role of some jedi who is present when Exar Kun revealed his true self before the Republic on Courscant and who partiparticles in some of the upcoming battles, etc... It wouldn't be too bad overall and I wouldn't mind playing a game like that even if we'd already know many of the biggest circumstances of that time, if you know what I mean... -

If it was well-written, then why not? . -

Dark Wanderer replied to kitty518233's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Dunno if I'd truly recommend this one, but to each of his own.. -
Well, I like the grey missions/areas of KOTOR 1 that there was and hopefully we shall see more in KOTOR 2 - for example, take the queen of Onderon - she supports the Republic, but she could still be a tyrannic ruler. Would it then be the right choice to help the locals put her out of action, meaning that the Republic would be somewhat weakened since they'd not gain any more support from Onderon, or would it be right to instead help her gain a more firm control of Onderon, thus ensuring her support to the Republic but letting the population of Onderon suffer?

Force Spirits on Dantooine?
Dark Wanderer replied to The Omnifarious Host's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hmm, you have some points there, I suppose. But we'll see. In any event I hope we'll be able to visit the Jedi temple on Coruscant, seems like an interesting place to visit! :D. Perhaps if you meet the spirits of the dead Jedi Council on Dantooine, they'll give you a mission to go there in order to get some important item or so... Perhaps something that belongs to you (your original lightsaber) or perhaps something that must not fall in the hands of the Sith... -

*shrugs* I've paled through the game 4-5 times or so and I wouldn't mind play through it once more to find out about some stuff I've not yet explored. I'm in no hurry to do so however, especially sicne I won't have access to my KOTOR before the end oft he summer . But I still think I'll not play KOTOR 1 until KOTOR 2 is here, since I then can refresh my memory of events in KOTOR 1 and then dive straight into KOTOR 2 :D -
Force Spirits on Dantooine?
Dark Wanderer replied to The Omnifarious Host's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Err, couldn't it have been just a term/figure of speech or however you say it? It's after all commonly used about certain places. Like "The ghosts of the past still haunts the place" or something like that... I'd like to meet some ghosts of dead Jedi, yeah (It'd be interesting to meet the spirits of the Jedi Council from KOTOR 1 or the spirits of the High Council, assuming that they've been wiped out too), but I find it kinda... unlikely, unless they REALLY mean to mirror ESB. -

Force Spirits on Dantooine?

Or maybe he simply felt their prestence but didn't really see anything (meaning that the ghosts of the three of them were just there to tell the watcher that Luke felt their prestence..)... -
Force Spirits on Dantooine?
Dark Wanderer replied to The Omnifarious Host's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
... wonder about Yoda and Anakin then? . Well, their deaths were more recent, so they'd have no problem to remain for a while, I suppose... -
Force Spirits on Dantooine?
Dark Wanderer replied to The Omnifarious Host's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, I'd expect Darksiders to remain after their death because that they desperatly searches for a way to be resurrected, or just to corrupt those who come in their way... -
Killing another party companion early on...
Dark Wanderer replied to Dark Wanderer's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Good point there for several reasons; for example, if you're a DS early int he game, then some characters might refuse to join you, thus you might have to killt hem instead of corrupting them. But even so... Well, it's kinda more interesting to be a DS int he beginning sicne you don't actually know anything; that can be both a strong and weak point from our perspectives as a player... -

Dark Wanderer replied to Dark Wanderer's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I dunno if I'd recommend that.. . At least, not if you want to corrupt some of them . -

Killing another party companion early on...
Dark Wanderer replied to Dark Wanderer's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Ahh, yes, Fallout 2. I didn't play that one much, but I remember the slavers. It might be kinda cool if you could sell "useless" party members in KOTOR 2, but I'm not sure if it'd fit entirely in the picture. And I doubt that you could sell an "useless Jedi", for example. Besides, since every character is quite expereinced at how to fight and armed most of the time too, I dunno how they'd be "disarmed". I doubt that'd give in meekly to being sold as slaves; a fight would break out for sure once you tried to do that... -

Force Spirits on Dantooine?
Dark Wanderer replied to The Omnifarious Host's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hmm, what about Ajunta Pall's ghost then? Was that an exceptation or was it because that he was a darksider, thus having more power to reamin after his death...? -
Force Spirits on Dantooine?
Dark Wanderer replied to The Omnifarious Host's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It'd be cool indeed if we could meet some ghosts of dead Jedi . Dunno if that's gonna happen, through. But spirits of dead Jedi were common enough in the original movies, so the chance is always there, I suppose -
. A shame, then...
-
Well enough, I suppose, but it's hard to really say. But he battles Luke twice; wins once, loses once... It's true enough that a Consular type relies more on diplomaticy and his/her use of a silver tounge, but no Jedi/Sith is ever without battle skills. Besides, you can't and shouldn't always rely on the Force to be there to "save" you
