  1. Right! The option fo being evil is always welcome no matter what game I play .
  2. Which is a pirty IMHO . But nothing lasts forever; technically evil prevailed when the Old Republic fell, but maybe only 25-30 years after that, the Empire was defeated and the Republic moved back in place... That's how I think it is, if seen in a more realistic way; Evil can win, but it's regin cannot last forever. If Ben and Yoda had not been waiting for Luke and Leia to grow up, they'd probably have taken on new apparentices and done what Darth Bane did; lie low while at the same time preserving the arts of the Jedi until the correct opportuny showed itself. The Rakata were, if we observe their history closely, at first much like the Sith and their empire lated for quite some time but in the end it fell apart...
  3. Since the majority of people here, including me, seem to have voted for just letting her make a cameo appearence, I think there's plenty of voices of reason out there, as the poll itself says, if you just look at it
  4. . Well, that's just an as good conclusion as any I'd say
  5. Right. but even so the Jedi Council did not have much choice in the matter. Even if Revan indeed turned dark again, it wouldn't have changed that much; Malak and the Sith would've crushed them anyway. The council basically had to decide between plauge and cholera... but at least in Revan's case they saw some hope (just as there is/was in case he/you turned light), whereas they saw only darkness in the case of the threat of Malak.
  6. Right. Even if Kyle was stronger than Jerec, why take the risk of getting cut down at that point, so close to victory? Anyway, this is a pretty good proof of that evil doesn't have monopoly on stupidity
  7. Yeah, but it wasn't functional, I think. Or perhaps Revan and Malak drained most of the dark power that the Star Maps had generated by then when they encountered them, thus making them more "safe" for us to encounter...
  8. Hah! True, a true LS will always give you another chance . Just look at Kyle Katarin in the LS ending of Jedi Knight; Jerec was defeated but then Kyle gives him back his lightsaber..
  9. I think it has been mentioned before that a DS pocket is like the Cave Luke visited on Dagobah, the one that Yoda called a "place of Darkness", or something .
  10. smart villains are human too and thus also makes mistakes just like everyone else.
  11. Hmm, if people could play KOTOR without any problems, shouldn't the same be true for KOTOR 2? It's bascially using the same game engine and such, so it shouldn't be all THAT different, right? Or at least, I hope it won't be that different for if so I'm in trouble..
  12. Probably not. I'd guess that Akari might be a litte upset about my somewhat lacking faith, so he'll not let out any new info
  13. Ahh, good old Force Throw. I remember that once when I played KOTOR, my character was a consular type and thus not very much of a fighter, meanign that when fightning Malak, facing him head-to-head wasn't such a good idea, so I used a hit-and-run tactic with Force Throw and defeated Malak int he end . Can't see much of a reason for iomproving Force Throw as it is now, since it already fills it's purpose: giving an opponent at a distance a hit before you enage in the real combat... Well, it's apparently a powerful force power, but thye may outweigh it by making it cost a lot of Force Power Points. Besides, I wonder if enemies will also be able to use it? Could cause a lot fo trouble.. ... like getting your whole party wiped out by Darth Sion or something in mere seconds
  14. . That's like that stupid saying that everytime someone does him/herself, God kills a kitten <_<...
  15. I, for one, I'm not so sure that it was Choke. It looked more like Force Push to me. True, they held their throats, but that could just have meant that Luke pushed them back at that spot.
  16. Scary when people gets scared by a metaphor
  17. Are you really sure that it was Force Choke? Looked more like Force Push to me...
  18. Played Fallout and Baldur's Gate, but wasn't Baldur's Gate also a work of bioware? Unless you only mean BG: Dark Alliance? As for the others, I've heard friends of mine talk very well about Planescape: Torment, but less well about Icewind Dale...
  19. Heh . Well, then we'll let the game be the final judge no matter how skeptic we are, then? . anyway, fi you say thatt hey're experienced, I'll trust on that fact at least
  20. I'm not exactly clear on which games they've made for now (and late as it is, I'm too tired to check right now) . but I think I may have played a couple of games mmde by some people behind obsidan (or rather I seem tor emember that some peopel there have been behind some big games.. but so has Bioware).
  21. Obsidans or Bioware?
  22. Remains to be seen IMHO. Obsidan will surely have come up with ideas the guys at Bioware might never have come up with, but still, one can't help but wonder if this was really the best...
  23. Nah, no worries, I was just referign to a character of an anime, "One Piece"... the character in question was Mr 2 or Bon Clay as his real name is - See, he places a great deal of value in friendship, so sicne you acted like he does at times, I just couldn't resist asking
