  1. Maybe that's because we have so many mods keeping an eye on it... But seriously it's because all the mods can't be here all the time... especially with the holidays coming up. This way we can always have at least one adult present at the pool at all times in case you kids start rough-housing too much. red on dark grey is very difficult/straining to read for a lot of people
  2. That was actually the magnificant camera stylings of the photographer. That man does excellent work. He should like totally get a medal or something. text colour edited for the benefit of the visually impared
  3. We're done with that btw... just has to go through the bureaucracy/QA and all that fun stuff...
  4. A) There isn't a verion of KotOR2 in Russian B) Whatever language version it is, we don't support switching between languages. Mainly because the other languages don't exist on the disk
  5. Actually as previously stated, the music and movies were too big to include in this patch and will be released in a second patch in a few days.
  6. The "High Quality movies" are too big for this patch and are going to be put into their own patch which should be up in just a day or two (everything's done, just need to build them).
  7. I know one. Bioware. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you're referring to NWN, then yes, that would be one. They made a game and worked closely with the moding community to ensure their game did what it was designed to do: be a platform for D&D enthusiasts to make their own custom maps. It was critical that they kept the people informed about what they were changing to try and foresee any problems it might cause with modules that already existed created by the fans. KotOR2 is a stand-alone, non multi-player game with absolutely no moding support. It isn't prudent or necessary to make sure that everyone on the boards knows that we fixed something behind-the-scenes that will never affect them directly besides improved stability. We don't need to post on the boards saying that Installshield rejected an erroneous line of code added to redirect the auto-patcher to the proper website. We're not going to come on the boards and tell you exactly what happened as it happens. Frankly, it's an internal matter and we're trying to get the patch to the public as soon as possible. I can assure you that with a community-driven game like NWN2, members of said community will be (and have been already) active contributers to the project since it is a game for the modders and any changes we might make at a later time might render their modules useless... something we want to avoid.
  8. I'm closing this because A) It's not useful B) Has flowrn off-topic C) Doesn't make any sense because most people who visit a tech-support forum are having problems with the game... that's why they visit tech-support forums.
  9. John Morgan said that they have problems with the patch. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did Johnny tell what the problem is? How come you're the only one that knows about it? I don't think this patch is coming any time soon. That assuming it will come at all. I've heard people say that the problem is that they want a patch that fixes everything. Well, there's no such thing. There will always be a new and unexpected bug. I just wish they would release whatever patch they have, as long as it fixes something and doesn't screw anything else up in the game. That would put everyone at ease. I mean I am sitting here without being able to play the game properly and I don't know if there will ever be a patch. If they have released something, even if it didn't solve my problem I would at least know they're working on it. I that would't be because you or someone at OE or LA told me, but because they would prove they're working on it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=319775
  10. Link? URL? You seem to be the only poster around here giving Obsidian/Lucas Arts the benefit of the doubt. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We've had problems with the patch.
  11. I don't know of any game company that gives that much detail to the general public.
  12. Not that simple Eh? Whoever told you this is wrong.
  13. All technical support goes through LucasArts so it's up to them what we fix, what we don't, and how many patches we work on and release.
  14. It's a tiny little patch which mostly fixes the manual pdf file. You're not missing anything. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True. This was a Day-One patch to fix a problem that the international publisher had with the manual.pdf's
  15. The game is officially complete, yes. But there was a post from Chris Avellone stating they had asked LA for permission to do a "content" patch. The extent of the changes such patch would effect is unknown. That post lasted a day or so before the whole thread was deleted. Don't hold your hopes too high. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Rejected and subject was closed.
  16. Wait a tick... I was sure I read on the forums (from a developer) that Obsidian had made some intention of wanting to release a content patch, but wasn't sure if LucasArts would go for it. Has a new development occurred? Last I checked, the list of fixes won't be released until the patch is actually released. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is true.
  17. It's not that at all. The patch has been considered packaged and ready to go several times by us. But so far every time something happens and we are forced to redo one aspect of it or change something. The honest truth is that for the past few weeks it has been "yeah, it'll be this Monday" for us as well. Silence does not equal distain.
  18. You mean like when they spelled Carth's last name "Onassi"? I don't know why it made me laugh so much, but it did. It also kind of took away from the melodrama of the scene. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually this was a source of humor on our end as well since while we were writing those parts, we noticed that in the reference material we had it was spelled both ways! But the above is still a bug because we tried to make the spelling consisten throughout the game.
  19. It's not like we don't want to release the patch. We, of course, want to help the people having problems with the game as much as possible and as soon as possible. There have just been a series of problems with the release. We are doing everything we can to have it ready and keep it ready for release on our end.
  20. Obsidian Entertainment is indeed working on a third project. All I can really say is that it's in a state of pre-production at the moment and it is not a Bioware license.
